Israel, a land of Milk and Honey

This video at CBN shows us how Israel is indeed a "land of milk and honey" just as the Bible says it will be in the last days when God regathers His people to the land.

God Striking America???

In America, the first part of 2011 has been unprecedented, especially with the E4 killer tornado that ripped through six states, killing hundereds!  What is going on you may ask.  And now people in the Mid-east part of the U.S. are having their lands, farms and businesses inundated with floodwaters.  Where does it stop?  When will it end?

Turns out that the answer to theses cries of loss and devestation are in the firtst book of the Bible, in a promise that the Lord made to Abraham.  It's found in Genesis 12:3.  Jesus promised Abraham (Jn 8:56), "I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse."  It seems that world leaders are intenet on dividing the land of Israel today, and taking it away from the chosen seed of Abraham, the descendents of Israel.

But the president and his administration are moving to divide Jerusalem and the land of Israel between the Jews and the Palestinians.  When his administration enacts a policy that is a curse to Israel, God strikes America with a curse.  And He strikes hard!  None of us are immune, livining in this land.  There is so much discussion today about the budget deficit and balancing that, and while that is huge, we need to be encouraging the president to be a blessing to Israel, instead of cursing it and trying to divide it up and give it to Israel's enemies.

All the major world disasters that we are seeing today, they are directly related to governmental actions toward Israel.  Everything from Hurrican Katrina, to the tornados, blizzards, landslides, wildfires, flooding, the earthquake/tsunami in Japan, the Icelandic volcano eruption.  These all happened in response to the promise that the Almighty made to Abraham, to give His descendents the land of Canaan.

Do you want the American economy to prosper?  Do you want these natural disasters to end?  Tell the president and his administration to bless Israel and defend her against the Muslims.

Recently Fulfilled Prophecy

We know that the Bible speaks of great blessing and prosperity for Israel in the last days. In Isaiah, the prophet says that “5 Then you will see and be radiant, and your heart will tremble and rejoice, because the riches of the sea will become yours, and the wealth of the nations will come to you.” Isaiah 60:5 (HCSB).

This scripture was partially fulfilled some months ago, when a huge discovery of natural gas was found off Israel’s coast.

It was reported in Business Week on January 19th: “

Moses might have had a better nose for energy than previously thought. On Jan. 18, just hours after a cease-fire began in the Gaza Strip, Israel announced the discovery of a major natural gas field off its northern Mediterranean coast…

The find, located 90 kilometers due west of the port of Haifa, is the first large field discovered in the eastern Mediterranean and is significant even by global standards. "This is one of the most significant prospects that we have ever tested, and appears to be the largest discovery in the company's history," says Charles Davidson, chairman and CEO of Houston-based Noble Energy (NBL), the U.S. partner in the consortium.”

When Israel (the patriarch Jacob) was blessing his sons prophetically before his departure, he says of his son Asher 24 “… More blessed than sons is Asher; May he be favored by his brothers, And may he dip his foot in oil. Very recently, in fulfillment of these words spoken by the father of Israel, there has been a discovery of oil in the land of Israel.

Israel National News reports:

“Estimates of the amount of oil in the Rosh HaAyin discovery have rises to 1.5 billion barrels, and there is more oil off-shore, but it is not yet known how much of the “black gold” can be extracted for commercial use.

The new estimate, along with the gas and oil finds off the Mediterranean Coast, raise the likelihood that Israel will be self-sufficient for energy for the next three decades and even become an exporter of gas. The amount of oil at Rosh HaAyin represents a tiny percentage of Israel's oil consumption, but development is continuing in the area as well as in the Dead Sea.” http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/news.aspx/139163

The words of scripture are clearly coming to be fulfilled. And incereasingly so as we look and see the nations of the world, and their representative organization, the U.N., increasingly turn against Israel. And as the U.S. presidential administration increasingly favors and blesses Muslim countries, I expect the looming Israeli/Iranaian war will be the last war in which America stands with Israel. Zechariah reports the words of the LORD, “It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who try to lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it” (Zech 12:3).

When this happens, according to the prophet, the Messiah is going to return, in fulfillment of His promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and the Jewish peoples through the ages. But it is not solely for the people of Israel that God acts. In fact, the Jewish people have faced worse discrimination and hostility through past history than any other nation on earth. So it is clear that God does not exist or operate just to serve and bless the Israeli people. But He says, “For My own sake, for My own sake I will act. For how can My name be profaned. And My glory I will not give to another” (Is. 48:11).

As the scripture is fulfilled, as it has been throughout past history, and continues to be, we are going to see God, the LORD of hosts, come to Israel’s aid and give her victory over all those opposed to her. If your nation is against Israel and the Jewish people, you are only hurting yourself. You should heed the words of scripture and “Kiss the Son, lest He become angry. For His wrath may soon be kindled.” Ps. 2:12.

Volcanic Ash Due to UK Cursing Israel?

Genesis 12:3 3 And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed."

There is one site that has connected the dots in the wake of the volcanic explosion in Iceland: http://www.revlu.com/zc.htm.

On April 9th, Britain’s ASA banned an Israeli tourism ad. Soon after this, the Icelandic volcano erupts and the ash in the atmosphere grounds all the flights within the UK and through much of Northern Europe and Russia.

Britain has banned an Israeli Tourism Ministry ad because it “misleads” the public to think that the Western Wall and Temple Mount are part of the country. The publicity was banned by the government advertising regulator.

Britain, like the United States and most of the international community, do not recognize Israeli sovereignty over the parts of Jerusalem that were restored to Jewish sovereignty during the 1967 Six-Day War.

Yahoo News reports that:

Huge ash clouds spewed from the volcano last week and led to European air traffic being grounded for days. The smoke and fumes coming from the volcano have much less ash now and the plume has stayed at low levels.

However, the tremors coming from it are stronger now than when the ash plume was at its highest, at about 9 km (5.6 miles), said meteorological office geophysicist Steinunn Jakobsdottir.

"We don't know exactly what this is telling us. This is kind of telling me that it is not stopping yet ... As it looks now it could go on for a while," she told a news conference.

One thing this IS telling us… God keeps His Word. Psalm 2 tells the rulers of the world that they should cease striving against the ways of God, to “break His fetters,” they should “Worship the Yahweh with reverence and… Kiss the Son, lest He become angry.” For we are left with this warning, “For His wrath may soon be kindled.” (Psalm 2:10-12)
