Should We Love and Be Kind to Others At the Cost of Doctrine?

The other day I saw where a sister posted something online, no doubt with good intentions. She said in her post, not her exact words, but something to this extent: to not worry about doctrines but to just be loving and and kind and talk about faith.

She doesn't realize it, but this is a slap to the Protestant faith and the millions who paid with their lives for the TRUTH. If we didn't stand for true DOCTRINE informing our beliefs and kindness and faithfulness and gentleness and love for one another, then we'd all still be in bondage to that Apostate Whore, Mother of All Harlots, the Roman Catholic Church. Men laid down their lives for Truth. Pilgrims left their homelands to settle North America, so they could live the Truth, and follow the dictates of their Conscious.

What is more, that is against the entire teaching of the New Testament!!! Paul's instructions to his younger protege Timothy is filled with admonitions for guarding True Doctrine for the preservation of the Church and the Extension of the Faith to all peoples!

1 Timothy 1:6-8 6 For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion, 7 wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions. 8 But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully,

They did not understand the law! The were not familiar with Scripture's teachings, and their work became profitless, making people feel warm and fuzzy, but leading people to hell!

1 Timothy 1:9-11 9 realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers 10 and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, 11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.

Romans 12:2 do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
And children, remember, if anyone tells you that doctrine is unessential and should be minimized, or not spoken about, that person is anti-Christ and anathema to God!

After Paul tells Timothy that prayers for all people should be made, he says: 1 Timothy 2:3-4  3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,  4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

God Himself desires that people  come to the knowledge of the Truth!  When we keep quite on Doctrines, we are not able to lead people to a knowledge of the Truth.

1 Timothy 3:2   2 An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach... and the qualities they are to have continues, but this last one cited says they should be able to teach!  This implies two things.  First, that they are knowledge of the Truth themselves, they understand it and guard it in their own hearts, and two that others either of the faith, or those coming to faith, and learning the principles and facts of this glorious, wonderful new truth that they have been blinded from by the evil one.

This de-emphasis of Doctrine in the last day would be one of the conditions preparing the way for the coming of the Lawless One!

1 Timothy 4:1-2  But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,  2 by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron...

Why do they fall away from the faith?  Because they do not understand it in its fullness!

1 Timothy 4:7-8  7 But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness;  8 for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

1 Timothy 4:16   16 Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.

The Apostle Paul's admonition to Timothy is, don't just be kind and serving to everyone, patient with their wrong beliefs, he says pay attention to yourself and your teaching!!!  Perserver in this!  If you do, you will ensure salvation both for yourself, and for those who hear you.

Can that be any more clear?  Though having good intentions for Christians not to waste time on fruitless arguments (which Paul briefly addresses, in the context of teaching correct doctrine 1 Tim 1:3-4) our faith and the salvation of our hearers is dependent on our having correct belief!

1 John 2:18-26 18 Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us. 20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know. 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also. 24 As for you, let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25 This is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life. 26 These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you.

Glenn Beck Blasphemes God On His September 2nd TV Program?

In the article of the below link, Beck is disclosed blaspheming the God of the Bible. Mormons believe it is okay to deceive others, if the outcome is the expansion is the advancement of the Mormon religion.

Glenn Beck Blasphemes God On His September 2nd TV Program?

Beck is quoted as saying: "America's religion. This is it gang, this is all you need to know. There is a God, He's going to judge us, we should be good to each other, cause daddy's gonna be pissed in the end if we're not. That's it. That's called a big principle."

Mormons literally believe God is an evolved man who birthed spirit-kids, of whom Jesus and Lucifer are brothers (and comlpeted for the role of savior). According to the Mormons, Lucifer did a good thing when he alerted Adam and Eve that they could be "as God."

The Bible does not tell us that this was a good thing, but in fact, this event in the paradisical garden resulted in the spiritual death of man, seperating him from His maker, leaving him in rebellion to His maker.

Beck said something else that reveals his true intentions. On his September 2, 2010 TV program Beck said, "We need a Jesus or a Buddha." For a true believer in Jesus Christ, who puts the Word of God above all, this is indeed blasphemy!

Beck, like other Mormons has adopted and appropriated the language of evangelical Christians, without meaning the same things that evangelicals mean by those terms.

LeaderU.com has a list of Biblical terms online that Mormons have redefined. Here is an example of what the Mormons mean when they speak of the person Jesus Christ:
JESUS CHRIST: The spirit of Jesus Christ was the first spirit born to God the Father and his wife (Heavenly Mother). He progressed to become a God under the Father. (The Father is also the literal father of Jesus' body in the exact same way we were begotten by our earthly parents.) He now has a body of flesh and bones, but no blood. He is the spirit brother of Satan whose spirit was procreated in the same way as Jesus'. To Mormons, even the atonement of his shed blood is not enough to provide forgiveness of sin and bring eternal life. Stripped of his Deity and demoted to a partial Savior, the Jesus of Mormonism has been robbed of his power and authority. Not only is the Mormon Jesus one who had struggled to achieve his own salvation, he also failed to establish his church. Both in Jerusalem and in the America's where Jesus was supposed to have visited, he attempted to build a group of followers. But in each case, truth was overcome by the alleged early church apostasy into false teaching.

Can a Mormon lead the Saints of God?

Can a Mormon lead the Saints of God?

I know many of you were aware of what happened this past weekend. Glenn Beck leading the national mall full of Chrisitans and professing Christians in a call for spiritual revival! A Mormon! Glenn Beck believes Jesus' brother is Lucifer, and that God the Father had sex with Mary to give birth to the incarnated spirit-brother of Lucifer.

It sickens me to see what happened. But it reveals how close the end is for the true believers. Hallellujah. Brannonn Howse has an article on this event at his blog worldviewweekend.com

I know Mormonism real well. There is a Mormon prophecy that America was going to be nearly destroyed with the Constitution hanging by a thread. A Mormon savior would arrive and lead the Mormon church to save America. I can see this coming into play real soon. Maybe the revival Beck is talking about is a massive conversion to Mormonism! Glen Beck does not preach Mormonism from his show that I can tell; however, it is lurking in the background. How does the LORD feel about Mormonism, which teaches the Lord Jesus Christ, the ONLY begotten Son of God is Satan's brother? Mormonism is full of doctrines like this.

The church is now so weak and without discernment that maybe the shallow Christians would turn to Mormonism while many pastors and church leaders are safe in the tall grass. I hope this never happens.

The danger is now all around us and closing fast. This includes: the Hard Left, Muslims, Mormon national leadership, militant homosexuals, totally collapsing economy, huge war in the Middle East, and the pastors hiding safely in the tall grass.

Howse writes in another article:

Mormon Theology at Beck's 8-28 rally came out within the first few minutes that Glenn stepped on to the stage. Beck proclaims; "God's chosen people, the Native Americans and the Pilgrims." Mormon theology says that Native Americans are a lost tribe of Israel that came to America and that Jesus appeared to them after the resurrection in the Americas in the Western Hemisphere. The teachings that "Jesus" gave them are what Joseph Smith claimed to have found on the gold tablets when he was a teenager. Smith was directed to the golden plates by an angle of light. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47V-dpiLM78 (Quote by Beck on the Native Americans can be found at the 4:30 mark on this clip) ...

Reverend Jim Wallis is pushing a liberal, leftist, man- centered, Godless, good works, social justice and Beck is pushing a conservative, right-wing, Godless, man-centered, good works, social justice. Both Wallis and Beck want a revolution in America and they both are basing their revolution on humanistic thinking. One is coming from the left and one is coming from the right. Both Wallis and Beck are both pushing for an earthly kingdom based on humanism and paganism mixed with their individual versions of social justice. I believe that Wallis and Beck both reject the God of the Bible and the salvation that is only found through the Jesus Christ of the Bible. In the end Beck and Wallis are on the same team as Jesus Christ Himself declared in John 8:42-47:

"If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God." In verse 44 He continues, "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it." Then in verse 47: "He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God."

For the Christian, he should not take direction from a godless Mormon. Glenn Beck is lost and blinded by Satan (2 Cor.4:4). If you belong to Christ, taking your cues from Glenn Beck is like taking them from Satan, for that is who Beck belongs to. Politics should not matter for the believer, ultimately. Our citizenship is in heaven (Phil 3:20). We are slaves of righteousness (Rom. 6:16,18).

My wife reminds me of the confrontation Beck had with Mike Huckabee in the airport, where he asked Huckabee to apologize for his remarks borne out of his Chirstian convictions. When Huckabee refused to apologize, Beck called him the equivalent of a 9-11 jihadist! For all you who know salvation is only through the name of Jesus (Jn. 14:6; Acts 4:12), by grace alone through faith alone (Eph. 2:8,9), get ready. Our time is coming, and it may be led by Glenn Beck.

Dear children, guard yourselves from idolatry.  1 Jn. 5:21
