Isn't it amazing the silence of the churches in America at the persecution of Christians throughout the Muslim world.  Are the churches in America really part of the Church?

International attention keeps pastor in Kazakhstan from 'certain death'

ICC's Central Asia Regional Manager recently returned from Kazakhstan with reports from sources on the ground indicating that Pastor Bakhytzhan Kashkumbayev suffered from "Soviet-style psychological examinations" while in a psychiatric ward. Kashkumbayev was discharged from the ward on September 4; however, the government refuses to reveal his current whereabouts. 

"It is only because there is international attention that Pastor Kashkumbayev has not been beaten and killed," a pastor in Almaty told ICC.

What is the calling of this church? Paul says so in verse 5, that the Thessalonians suffer for His Kingdom. This teaches me that when we do intercession for other believers we need not only identify with the person you pray for, but especially with God. What is He after in this circumstance? How will He use it to His glory? This truth may radically change the way we pray for persecuted Christians and other believers. We don't know the names of the Christians in North Korea. But we can ask God to fulfill His plan and make people worthy of their calling.
