It seems that today, people act as if they can renege on parts of the Bible that they don't like. To deny the exclusivity of the gospel, or to say a teacher of a false religion (which doesn't even believe in a personal God), like Ghandi, or the Buddah, is in heaven, is to deny the holiness and justice/righteousness of Yahweh, and the severity of sin. The God that Bell teaches is not the God of the Bible. To deny these central claims is to declare that you are not a Christian. Jesus said the Father's word is truth (John 17:17), that He is the truth, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him (Jn 14:6). He also stated that all who follow Him must not be ashamed of His words, and that they must take up their cross, and follow Him (Mk. 8:38; Mt. 16:24).
Mr. Bell, unless you repent and change your teachings, the LORD Jesus will be ashamed of you, and not welcome you into His kingdom. Those are His words, and not mine, and I say this so you may be saved. (Mk 8:38, Lk. 9:26)
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. 2 Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; 3 and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.
2 Peter 2:1-3 (NASB95)
16 They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed. 1 But as for you, speak the things which are fitting for sound doctrine. Titus 1:16-2:1 (NASB95)
10 Reject a factious man after a first and second warning, 11 knowing that such a man is perverted and is sinning, being self-condemned.
Titus 3:10-11 (NASB95)
