Whose Identity is More Important, the Man, or His Lawlessness?

In recent months, something has become more and more apparent to me, as countless people through the pas decades and centuries have been named or considered as candidates of the Antichrist, that there are any number of people who could be that person... but to what avail is identifying him before hand?  In that day it will be evident enough!


What is more important, I think, is being able to identify the Lawlessness to which he is ascribed (2 Thess. 2:3).  This seems to be a topic that is largely untouched by the mainstream church, and much to its own detriment!  Biblically speaking, this is not a hard topic to figure out.  But I think because of its blinders towards the Law of Yahweh, the modern church cannot see it, and again, much to its peril!


For the student of scripture, they know that Law, as translated in most English bibles, is the translation of the word "Torah" in Hebrew, which more accurately means, "Instruction" rather than "Law".  Through certainly the past century, there has been a gradual drifting away from the Law within the church as binding upon believers lives.  Gradually people began less and less to see the world upheld and governed by the Laws of God, and more and more of a Gentile understanding that Jesus came to set us free from the Law, because it is a "ministry of death, written on tablets of stone" (2 Cor. 3:7).


This is an example of a Gentile (non-Hebraic) misunderstanding of scriptures.  Of course the Law (Torah) is a ministry of death to people, because of our sinful nature and attitudes.  We would much rather follow the law of Crawley, "Do as thou wilt..." rather than keep the Law of Yahweh, whose very words are life:


Deuteronomy 30:15-20 ¹⁵ "See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity; ¹⁶ in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the LORD your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it. ¹⁷ "But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, ¹⁸ I declare to you today that you shall surely perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess it. ¹⁹ "I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, ²⁰ by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them."


So we see from the Torah, in Dt. 30, that Yahweh commands his covenant people, the Israelites, and the sojourners among them, that His word is life!  To obey Yahweh's word is life and prosperity, and to deny it, to disobey it, is death and adversity.  And so we see the proclaimed Church in the world, proclaiming that we have been set free from the Law by the very one who claimed to be the Word of Elohim in the flesh, the Messiah, Son of David.


But what did Yeshua teach?  He taught:


Matthew 5:17-19 ¹⁷ "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. ¹⁸ "For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. ¹⁹ "Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.


Yeshua said that He did not come to abolish the Torah, but to fulfill it.  And he did fulfill some of it, known as the Spring feasts (mo'edim).  But he is still to fulfill the Fall feasts!  That is, "until heaven and earth pass away, not the [least part] shall pass from the Torah, till all is accomplished!


Did anyone see if heaven and earth passed away yet?  Oh wait, ok, we're all sitting here, the heavens and earth are still all around us.  Ok, it didn't pass away.  Whew!  I'm so relieved!  Aren't you?  So why then do we think the Torah passed away?  Can anyone say Gentile Dummies?  Yes, that is what we are, and have been for the past two thousand years! Because in our anti-Semitic bias, we have refused to see it, and we have spurned, and kicked against the word of God, all the while proclaiming a love for God and his people (except the Jews, His people).


For two thousand years, we have had Gentile leaders of a Semitic religion.  The Gentiles really did hi-jack Christianity, and morphed it into our anti-Semitic, Greek/Roman/Babylonian form!  And so that brings me back around to the theme of the blog, whose identity is more important, the man, or his lawlessness?


I think as a follower of Messiah Yeshua, my brother and king from Judah (yes, he was a Jew, not a Palestinian), that identifying the Lawlessness is far more important, especially when God's word, and obedience to it are life!  Didn't Peter say to his rabbi, "To whom shall we go?  You have the words of life!"  For the orthodox Jew, this has the ring of Torah (Deuternomy 30) to it, and again, a Messianic confession!


The apostle John, the beloved of Yeshua, warned his readers about the spirit of lawlessness in his day:


1 John 2:18-19 ¹⁸ Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. ¹⁹ They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us.
1 John 2:22 ²² Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.


In my Gentile understanding, brought in a Southern Baptist church, I used to think that this meant those who had left the Church, that is, the Protestant Church.  Now, understanding that "the secret of Yhwh is for those who fear Him, and to them He makes known His Covenant (Ps. 25:14)," I see that the Jewish apostle was writing of those who were "leaving the Church" of his day, those who were turning away from the sound doctrines of scripture, that is, Torah/Tanak.  John tells us that they had/have a spirit of antichrist!  He tells us in 3:4 that sin is lawlessness (torah-lessness)! 


So today, what do we have in most churches across America?  We have the spirit of antichrist, the spirit of lawlessness, where the pastors proclaim confidently and unashamedly to turn people away from the Law of the Most High, through which He will reign again upon His return (cf. Ezek. 40-48).


The Great Deceiver in our midst has already proclaimed that the Cross is to no avail, and it "did not work!"  And he is gathering all his children to him already! 


So how about you?  Are you in a church where they proclaim Jesus set us free from following the Law (Torah)?  You should flee from there, get yourself into a congregation of believers who want to keep the instruction of Yahweh, who want to keep His word, His Sabbath, and His Mo'edim, as He proclaims in His word!  Are you a pastor preparing people to accept the anti-Messiah, and his doctrine of lawlessness?  Even most of America's big-name, celebrity preachers are doing so, leading people astray, they are wolves in sheeps clothing, ravening the sheep.

The Goal (End) of the Faith - Part Two

In Part One, we looked at a letter from a Rabbi to his son in the Faith.  Rabbi Shaul, known to most as the Apsotle Paul.  In this excerpt of his letter to Timothy, I translated the term "law" which is being carried over from the Hebrew concept, as "Torah" or, "instruction." When hermeneutics are applied consistently, we can see more clearly.

In this first part, we see that Rabbi Shaul tells Timothy: "1 Timothy 1:5  the goal of our torah is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith."  Some of you who read this may think we are heading in a direction of legalism, or something akin to that of the Judaizers.  On the contrary, the Rabbi precedes this verse in the letter to Timothy with the aspiration:

1 Timothy 1:4  4" nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than furthering the administration of God which is by faith"  Note, the Apostle puts torah, and faith together in the same sentence, whereas modern churches teach they are opposite and antithetical!

But where does Rabbi Shaul get this expectation, or this doctrine, that this instruction (torah) has as its goal a "good (ie, clean/pure) conscience and a sincere faith?"  It is the teaching and testimony of the First Covenant, and Yhwh's redemptive promises to Israel, the sons of Jacob.

One place we see this clearly is by the prophet Zechariah.  Yeshua taught, "I did not come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets...."  In chapters 12-14, Zechariah prophesied on the coming battle of Armageddon, and the salvation of all (yes, twelve tribes) of Israel.  In chapter 14, we see Yeshua Messiah's victory:

Zechariah 14:9  9 And the LORD (Yahweh) will be king over all the earth; in that day the LORD (Yahweh) will be the only one, and His name the only one.

And then a few verses down, we see the state of affairs in the Messianic kingdom, also know as the kingdom of God.

Zechariah 14:16  16 Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD (Yahweh) of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths (Sukkot).

Most churches teach in their theology that Yeshua, or Jesus came to set us free from the Law.  Never mind that John tells us that "everyone who practices sin practices lawlessness.  Sin is law-lessness (1 Jn. 3:4)."  Protestant believers have been separated from the worldview of the Hebrew authors of the Bible, almost from the second century.

The fact is, the Bible clearly defines the righteousness of Yahweh with his commands (Ps. 119:150), His Torah (instruction - Ps. 119:142).  During His life Yeshua lived a life of perfect righteousness, keeping Yahweh's Torah perfectly.

Does it then make sense that once Yahweh delivers sinners from the punishment and verdict of their sin, that he will allow and encourage them to live in law-lessness (unrighteousness)?  Yet this is the approach that many who claim to follow Messiah take.  But scripture tells us that "he who claims to live in him (Messiah Yeshua) must walk as he walked" (1 Jn. 2:6).  The apostle Paul asks, " What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2 May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?" (Rom. 6:1,2).

Clearly, we see that the Messiah Yeshua reigns from His temple in the Millenial Kingdom, over the restored Israel, and the surving remnant of mankind, who will then repopulate the earth during this 1,000 year period.  As Yahweh Elohim told us, "He is the same yesterday, today and forever."  His standard of righteousness never changed.  In fact His Son, Yeshua, His Word/Torah made flesh will reign over His people, till He hands over all things to Yahweh Abba, the Father.

How to Atone For Iniquity (Pr. 16:6)

Do you ever come across a verse, and you're not sure how it works?  I've had plenty of those, and this verse is one of them:

6 By lovingkindness and truth iniquity is atoned for,

And by the fear of the Lord one keeps away from evil.

When I read this, it almost seemed like it taught a works-salvation.  It left me confused!  I knew that man could not save himself.  Certainly, I couldn't!  All people have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:22).  There is no man on earth who continually does what is right and never sins (Ecc. 7:20).  Yeshua Himself said that "there is no one good, except God alone."  The Apostle Paul says, "Let God be found true, and every man a liar" (Rom. 3:4).

In seminary, I was introduced to the Hebrew phrase "lovingkindness and truth."  It's made up from the words "chesed," meaning covenant love, loyalty, faithfulness, graciousness, godly action.  The Hebrew word for "Truth" is "Emmet".  Taken together, you have a name for God.

So how is truth applied to atone for sin?  What is truth, if I might sound like Pilate?  Scripture teaches Yhwh's Law is truth (Torah, Ps. 119:142).  Yeshua said He was the truth (Jn. 14:6), and that Yah's word is truth (Jn. 17:14, 17).  Y'shua is the word of God (Jn. 1:1-3) made flesh, that took up His Sukkah (feast of Sukkot ~ tabernacles/booths, Jn. 1:14) among us, perfectly fulfilling Torah (God's righteousness), not abolishing or nullifying it (Matt. 5:17-19) to become our propitiation, effectively atoning for our sins (Rom. 3:25).

That's how Prov. 16:6 works!  Through Chesed and Emmet, Lovingkindness and Truth, iniquity is atoned for.  It is the person of Y'shua haMashiach Himself.

Many Events, One Thing!

There are many events taking place in our world right now.  Biblical prophecy is being fulfilled on so many fronts.  For one person to study and be on top of them all, it requires a lot of time... but then, it is so easy to get sidetracked on rabbit trails, distractions, disinformation if you will.

My wife has got onto me about getting "distracted" with some of these things which do not really matter.  I am so thankful for her, indeed, she really keeps my feet planted on the ground sometimes!  All of this to say, there are many watchmen with different areas of interest, and while these all have their place, a picture of hopelessness and despair can be painted.

Isaiah 8:11-13 (NASB)

11 For thus the Lord spoke to me [a]with mighty power and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,

12 “You are not to say, ‘It is a conspiracy!’
In regard to all that this people call a conspiracy,
And you are not to fear [b]what they fear or be in dread of it.
13 “It is the Lord of hosts whom you should regard as holy.
And He shall be your fear,
And He shall be your dread.

Indeed, a terrible picture is painted of the last days in God's Holy Word.  It is a terrible time coming upon us.  And you know, the Father has given my wife and I revelations, sometimes confusing, sometimes overwhelming... but He's showing us that His work is done through our walks with Him.  As the old hymn says "And He walks with me and He talks with me, and He tells me I am His own...", and it really is about the love (agape) we share, as we "tarry there," on this roads journey to the celestial city.

So be encouraged today, and throughout life's circumstances.  It REALLY IS about walking by faith, having a confident, loving joy in the One who rules on His throne from heaven.  He laughs when He looks down on the strivings of the wicked, and all their plan against Him (Ps. 2).

I like to watch BPEarthwatch and suspicious observers, with their satellite imagery of the sun, and the massive solar flares which would, if we were close enough, vaporize the earth!  The sun is so immense, and powerful, though scientists say it is one of the cooler stars.  It is nothing but a ball of energy, that still mystifies and puzzles us!  My God created that star!!!  

We think we are all bad because we develop a nuclear bomb, but my God breathed a star in place!  And the rulers of this world think they are going to disthrone Him, or usurp His rule somehow?  Thwart His plans?  

4 He who sits in the heavens laughs,
The Lord scoffs at them.
5 Then He will speak to them in His anger
And terrify them in His fury, saying,
6 “But as for Me, I have installed My King
Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”

Their day is coming.  Just as Yeshua experienced in His life all that the nation of Israel went through ("Out of Egypt I called my son," etc.), so will the true Church share Yeshua's fate.  When it looks as if the enemy has killed, put to death the true Church (whom I'm sure it will call extremeist fundamentalists), then will come victory, and the apocalypse of the King Yeshua the Messiah, returning with His saints, and collection the children of Israel from the ends of the earth (i.e. the true rapture, 1 Thess. 4, 5).  Amen.  Your name be honored Abba.  Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

Sound of the shofar - Nehemiah 4:20 - YAHWEH Will Fight For Us

The beauty and significance of this, and Yeshua's coming with the sound of the last Shofar ("trump"), is that the blowing of the Shofar can be blown as a call to war.  This is why Yeshua gives the blow of the Shofar, because He is comming as King of Kings and Lord of Lords!  He IS COMING FOR WAR!!!

Islam Endorses Murder and Hate, But Claims Abraham!

As we all know, and can clealy see, Islam and the Muslims "extremists" (thought in Muslim eyes, the faithful), the Quran teaches hatred of the Jews, and the end goal of Islam is annihilation of the Jewish people, to bring about global Sharia law on every person.  Not only does it endorse the teaching of hatred, instead of love, which Ye'shua taught, and is taught in the Torah, but Islam endorses violence, murder and death, so much so, that the only guarantee of entering eternal life in heaven, is by dying in battle with the infidels (unbelievers of Islam).

But in the Gospels, Ye'shua has a different message.  He spoke to murderers who claimed to have Abraham as their father, as do Muslims.  But he told them who their father really is.  We read in John (Injil) 8:

39 They answered and said to him, “Abraham is our father!” Jesus said to them, “If you are children of Abraham, do the deeds of Abraham! 40 But now you are seeking to kill me, a man who spoke to you the truth which I heard from God. This Abraham did not do. 41 You are doing the deeds of your father!”

They saidq to him, “We were not born from sexual immorality! We have one father, God!” 42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your father, you would love me, for I have come forth from God and have come. For I have not come from myself, but that one sent me. 43 ⌊Why⌋r do you not understand my way of speaking? Jim Staley - Christmas, Hanukkah and the Antichrist

This video is a great teaching.  Staley does a great job communicating the significance of CHanukkahand the Menorah to followers of Yeshua.  This video is also likely to hit a sore spot with some of you at first.  You need to see this if you are not familiar with Hanukkah, the Jewish feast (the 10 tribes of Israel were previously dispersed), and what Hanukkah has to do with the end times!

Truly these are miraculous times, the last days, that we are living in!  News about the revelation of Lord Yeshua to Rabbi Yitzak Kaduri is bringing revival in other parts of the earth!  amen!  The rabbis and media of Israel tried to shut this news down, but through a book the LORD used a man to write, this good news is going forth and transforming lives!  Hallelujah!

While I don't agree with the person identified in this video as the Antichrist, I think the Pope fills the role of the False Prophet, with "horns like a lamb, but the voice of a dragon."  This also fulfills Islams end-time belief that the Muslim "Jesus" returns alongside their Mahdi.  But this video really matches up the timing of Daniel's prophecy in 9:27 and Revelation with the Biblical Feasts (the LORD's feasts - Lev. 23).



As Messiah's return is nearing, and His Word is being fulfilled, we look to see Yeshua is fulfilling events foretold by the Feasts (Col. 2:17)!  He will fulfill the feasts on the feasts days at the appointed times!

49 Earthquakes Last 24 Hours "Alaska 5.1 Iceland Volcano 5.

7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. 8 But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.  Matthew 24:7-8

Truly the amount of quakes and their intensity is on the rise.  It is a continual shaking, as you can get on the emergency disaster service sites any day and count the hundreds of quakes and tremors as our earth is, literally fulfilling the words of scripture, "reeling back and forth like a drunkard!"  And these words were spoken through the Hebrew prophets over 2,000 years ago, and Yeshua our Adonai, to predict the precise state and condition of our world today.  Nostradamus can't touch this!  The LORD says He is the one who "declares the end from the beginning" (Is. 46:9-10)!

All these things are coming to pass... turn from your sin, and put your trust in Yeshua (aka Jesus), whose name means "salvation," for He alone is able to save you from your sins, restore you to your Maker, and give you eternal life, to rescue you from the comng Wrath and Destruction!

A message to the Church: WWJD? Keep Torah!

It's hard to argue with.  The sinless Son of God... how did he remain or achieve sinlessness?  Unlike all his ancestors in the flesh, the people of Israel, Jesus kept the Law of God perfectly!  And for this reason, He was able to offer His life up as a sin offering on the Lord's feast of Passover (Pesach), the spotless lamb of God.

Keeping the Law of God is really quite a feat!  The Jews had all sorts of rules and traditions, "laws" they passed down on top of God's revelation in order to safeguard the keeping of the Law.  Ever since I have been alive, the Church and American Christians have claimed that Yeshua came and fulfilled the Torah in order to "set us free from the Law!"  But as I began to study eschatology,(the study of last things), I began to notice a few things.

Certainly a major component to Biblical prophecy is when the usurper of God's throne, the Evil One takes throne during the last "Seven" (shabua), which is prophesied by an angel of righteousness to Daniel, telling of the 70 "Sevens" decreed for the people of Israel to finish transgression, bring in everlasting righteousness and atonement for sin, and to anoint the holy Temple (Dan. 9:24).  So from this prophecy, and especially as these times are upon us, it seems that the "Old Covenant" is not out of business; God is not finished with it!  In fact, part of Moses' prohecy in Deut. 30:1-8, at the end of the Torah, extended down to this very day, 3000 years later, after the Jews and Israelites were dispersed into all corners of the earth, and began to be brought back to the land promised to Israel!

Quickly, the other thing I noticed was in Zechariah, speaking of the LORD's return, when the people of Israel "look on Him whom they have pierced," (12:10); Mashiach Yeshua sets up His millennial reign on earth, and "all who are left of the nations that came up against Jerusalem (some will be left!) will go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of Hosts, and to celebrate the feast of Sukkot [of booths]." (Zech. 14:16)

So if for the 1,000 years that Jesus is reigning on earth(!!!!  He is, He IS returning!!!!) He will require the inhabitants of the earth to worship and celebrate the feast of Sukkot, or Booths, commemorating Yhwh's deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt into the promised land (which, Egypt Biblically became synonymous with "sin", thus signifying Yeshua's salvation, His deliverance from sin).

Now if these things are going on, WE in the Gentile Protestant Church don't have it all figured out!  I thought something was up!  While in seminary, I remember our professors telling us that the term "Law" in the Bible, was really a poor translation choice for the word "Torah" in the Jewish Tanakh.  A better translation for the term "Torah" would be "instruction."  

So let's apply this dynamic.  "Yeshua came to set us free from keeping God's instruction!  Yay!!!"  Now, how does that sound?  Pretty ludicrous doesn't it?  We say, "Oh Jesus came to set us free from keeping the Law (Torah/instruction) of God!"  Following that logic, it makes it clear that we can live any way we want, and claim salvation.  Not far from me, there is a church with a female pastor, and when she or the church is confronted with the verse, "An overseer [i.e. pastor] should be the husband of one wife, (1 Tim. 3:2)" the immediate response is Gal. 3:20, "we have been set free from the Law!"  But it's funny isn't it, both statements are taken from the New Testament!  What have they really been set free from? 

The problem with this logic is, and I'm tempted to say to them; "Well great!  There's a couple of congregants here I really don't like, so it'd be okay if I killed them!  I mean, we're set free from the Law right?  And isn't the prohibition against murder in the Law, I mean following that would be legalism!"  And you could make that argument about adultery, abortion, murder, homosexuality, etc. etc. ad inifinitum.  

Did Jesus really set us free from the Law?  Let us look at some of the scriptures now with this new understanding.  In Matt. 5:17-19, Jesus says "I did not come to abolish the Law and the Prophets.  I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. Amen I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Torah until all is accomplished.  Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever keeps and teaches them, shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

On its face, does that sound like Yeshua is saying "Be free from the Law of God my child!  Be Free!"  No, it doesn't.  In fact, it sounds just the opposite!  We can also see this with the apostle to the Gentiles, Rabbi Paul, as he tries to set out this faith in Messiah to the Jews and dispersed Israelites (remember, the house of Israel was dispersed into the nations circa 720 B.C.) in Rome.  Rabbi Paul says, "What then, should we continue in sin, so that grace may increase?  May it never be!"  Let's remind ourselves, how do we know what sin is?  From God's Torah, His Word!  Again, Rabbi Paul says, "What shall we say then, Is the Torah sin?  May it never be, on the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Torah; for I would not have known about coveting, if the Torah had not said, 'You shall not covet!'" (Romans 7:7).

"But Christopher", you might be thinking, "Are you saying we need to keep the Law in order to be saved?"  Not at all!  Look, Rabbi Paul deals with this also in Romans 3:19-31.  And this really helps if, when you're reading the word "Law," to interpret it as "Torah" or "instruction."  The Apostle Paul taught that we are "saved by grace through faith, and that not of yourselves.  It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast" (Eph. 2:8,9).  In Romans 3:20-22a, 24, Rabbi Paul teaches us:

"because by the works of the Torah no flesh shall be justified in His sight (that is, made righteous, or "saved"); for through the Torah comes the knowledge of sin" [... hence, in order to live life free of sin, like Yeshua, the Son of the living God!] But now, apart from the Torah, the righteousness of  God has been manifested [see Jhn. 1:1-3], being witnessed by the Torah and the Prophets.  Even the Righteousness of God through faith in Yeshua the Messiah for all who believe... being justified [i.e., declared righteous] as a gift by His grace through the Redemption which is in Yeshuah the Messiah" 

We've been SO conditioned, and I think set up for the end-time deception through our use of the word "Law," and it's secular usage (1 Jn. 5:19).  Paul says in verse 31, "Do we then nullify the Torah through faith?  May it NEVER be!  On the contrary, we establish the Torah!"

"What!" you're thinking, "We (Protestant Evangelical Christians) ESTABLISH THE TORAH!!!????"  That is what Paul is telling us!  In Leviticus 23, the proscribed feasts are not called "the feasts of the Jews," but rather, "the feasts of the LORD... even these are My feasts (Lev. 23:2)."

Here's another verse for consideration.  Adonai Yeshua, when giving his high priesetly prayer to the Father, in John 17, says "Sanctify by Your truth, Your Word is truth."  There was no New Testament in existence at the time, nor would the first epistles be written for another 20-30 years.  What Word was He talking about? The revelation given from God, the Jews know as the Tanakh, containing the Torah.  Yeshua said, "[It] is truth" (17:17).

Do Christans not claim to follow the Truth?  We do.  We claim to be people of the Truth.  And we define sin from reading from the Truth.... yet we do not follow the Truth.  We do not establish it, as Paul told us through the Holy Spirit (Ruach hakodesh)(!)  But it seems that there is a growing awakening in our time, as the number of Messianic congregations increase throughout the world, and believers begin to follow Yhwh in Truth.  The LORD is opening people's eyes to understand His Truth.  

This is one reason I have a hard time with the church using "Sunday school" material, which really has become a discipleship material, but has kept believers from seeking understanding of the Scriptures from the Holy Spirit Himself, because the Spirit is the One who gives understanding (John 14:26), not Sunday school quarterlies!  It seems to me that Sunday school quarterlies have kept the church "boxed in" to a predetermined set of beliefs, much like the Jehovah's Witnesses, which have a commentary at the back of their bibles to tell them how to interpret or belief their scriptures from the Watchtower Society, or the Pope, who tells his congregants what and how to believe, and how he gets away with changing God's eternal Truth.  Sunday School quarterlies is a very Popish practice!

But really this Great Deception (THE Great Deception/Falling Away?) started back in the Fourth Century A.D., whcn the Christian Church was separated from the Jews, and the day of their worship was changed from the Sabbath.  The LORD commanded that we honor the Sabbath, and keep it holy.  But Emperor Constatine did not want the Christians to look like the Jews, so he changed the day of worship to Sun-day... the day of worship of the pagan sun god which can be traced back to Nimrod (Gen. 10:8-12), who became a "mighty hunter before the LORD."

Before this, Christians, Messianics and Jews all worshiped together, celebrating the feasts along with observing Torah.  Much of the current confusion in the church today, and why it looks like the world, and why it is losing its young people to the world in the name of science and through Darwinian Evolution (to which even the Pope, the supposed "Vicar of Christ" bowed)... all of this goes back to when the "Christians" were separated from the Jews by the Holy Roman Empire, i.e., the Vatican, and the Christians no longer obeyed the Spirit's command through the Apostle Paul to "establish the Torah" (Rom. 3:31).

When we recognize this fact, we began to have our eyes opened to a whole new Biblical understanding and understanding of what is and will happen in the end times, and why.  I think this is also one reason why we do not see miracles as much in the Church today... for we do not accept Deuteronomy (Second Telling of the Torah) chapter 28, as normative or true for Christians in today's church.

You might still think that I'm being fanatical and legalistic and reading the New Testament thorugh the lens of an extremist zealot.  Haha, ok... but if what I'm saying is true, wouldn't we find evidence of it in the Old Testament, the Tanakh?  After all, the LORD is the same, yesterday, today and forever, right?  What did Yhwh Himself promise of the New Covenant when it was announced through the prophets (remember, Paul mentions it testified by the Torah and the Prophets)?  Let's look in Jeremiah:  

"But this is the Covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD, 'I will put my Torah within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people" (Jer. 31:33).  

This has been one of the Deceiver's greatest deceptions that is still flying under the nose of believers today, and one of the greatest hindrances to the power of the Redeemed of Messiah on earth, as they struggle to carry out the LORD's commands.

"For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.  For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith!"  (1 John 5:3,4)

"If you love me, you will keep My commandments."  (John 14:15)

"He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and disclose myself to Him."  (John 14:21)

Now, as for you, is Yhwh's Torah written on your heart?  Will you keep His commandments, and establish His Torah (Rom. 3:31), or will you perpetuate the doctrine of demons and the traditions of men over the word of God?

The Gospel (Good News)... in the Last Days

The term the "Gospel," what does it mean?  It is a term that is connoted with so many meanings today, both positive and seemingly negative... but the term literally means "good news."  In our day of Severe Weather on a daily basis, disappearing or hijacked plane flights, disease outbreaks, UFOs, sudden animal die-offs by the thousands, tropical storms and hurricanes, increasingly stronger and more frequent earthquakes... all of us could use some good news!

So what is it?  What is this "Gospel," this good news we are supposed to be hearing?  It starts with the proclamation of what we already know.  We are all broken, fallen in sin and in our relationship to our Maker.  Sin effects every part of the human being, from our thoughts, to our emotions, intentions and actions.  Even our seemingly good and noble deeds are infiltrated and infected by sin (fear, greed, lust, etc.), so that the prophet tells us that "righteous deeds are like filthy rags before the Yhwh" (Is. 64:6).  And not only is this sin effecting every part of our lives and relationships, it effects the world around us.

The Good News is that a man born a descendant of Abraham, Israel, of the tribe of Judah, born in the city of David, was born to us, and lived a life in perfect obedience and fulfillment of the Torah (instruction of Adonai given to Moses on Mt. Sinai in Arabia).  This Jesus, or Yeshua, whose name means "God is salvation," laid down his life on the the Yhwh's feast (Lev. 23) of Pesach (Passover).  He laid down his life as the spotless, blameless Passover lamb of Adonai.  He shed His own blood for our brokenness, for the sin in our lives, that often rules and directs our lives.  He laid down his life on the tree, and shed His own blood so that we could be set free from that sin that wrecks and brings death into our lives, for the wages of sin is death (Rom. 6:23).

But that is not all!  Yeshua, who died for our sins to set us free from its control, and set us free to serve and love our Maker, or Father over all, to delight in His ways, is also buying back (redeeming) the entire universe, all that exists.  But that He is going to do it through His chosen people, the Jews, and for the whole house of Isaac (bringing back the dispersed northern 10 tribes).  In fact, the LORD told us this in Daniel 9:24, when He decreed that there were 70 "sevens" or shabuas (seven year periods of time) for the Jewish people to finish transgression, make an end of sin, make atonement for iniquity, and bring in everlasting righteousness, seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place (i.e. the Temple).

Zechariah tells us that in the last days every nation will be against Israel (Zech. 12:3-4), but that Yhwh Himself, Yhwh Sabaoth, will fight for Israel, and show that He alone is God most High, God of Armies!  

We are quickly coming into those days.

God is fighting for Isreal... and His Messiah will return after the Seven Year peace treaty is signed, and Satan, that great deceiver, has his way with this earth.  And so the most important thing today is, do you know Messiah, whose name means salvation?  Or are you going along with the world, pursuing its desires (money, fame, beauty, laptops, technology, human enhancement, etc.).  The world and its desires are coming to nothing, but the one who does the will of God, he shall live forever (1 John 2:14-17)!

Pope Francis hosts Islamic and Jewish Prayers at the Vatican

As we have seen in the news, this tremendous "unprecedented" move by Pope Francis to host both Peres and Abbas for prayers at the Vatican, in an effort to "promote" and progress peace talks among the Palestinians (Muslims) and the Jews

Why you ask, is this so important?  It seems like a good move to working toward finding peace in the Middle East between Jews and Muslims.  Well one thing the news doesn't tell us is that the three religions involved, Islam, Judaism and Christianity (though the Vatican is NOT a true Christian church, it is apostate and teaches a false gospel (Galatians 1:8,9; Ephesians 2:8,9; Romans 10:9-10)), de facto making whatever Pope a false prophet, though I believe this one IS THE False Prophet spoken of in scriptures (Revelation 13: 11, 19:20).

Revelation 13:11, 12  Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke as a dragon.  12 He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. 

All three faiths have Endtime scenarios involved, awaiting their version of a Messiah or Mahdi to return and usher humanity into a great era of peace, prosperity and blessing.  But everything uttered in God's word through the Hebrew prophets, and the Apostles has been fulfilled on time.  In Daniel's prophecy in chapter 9:24-27, on the last Seventy "Sevens" or Shabuas destined for the Jews, as it is written:

Daniel 9:24   24 "Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place.

We know from scripture that after the first seven shabuas, and the 62 shabuas, Messiah was cut off, Yeshua was crucified by the Roman soldiers under the Political authority of the Romans and Religous authority of the Jewish leaders, who did not understand that Messiah must come first as a suffering servant (see Isaiah 53).  So According to Daniel 9, we have the Messiah cut off after the first 69 shabuas or "weeks", which leaves one final week or shabua to be fulfilled.

During this time, Yahweh extended the good news of salvation to the Gentile world, so that the gospel might be preached in every nation.  As Yeshua tells us in Matt. 24:14 - 

Matthew 24:14  14 "This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. 

And indeed it has.  The gospel has gone forth into the world and been carried to every continent on earth.  Some of the only countries on earth where the gospel is not known are Islamic countries where they forbid the people of the book from sharing the news about Yeshua, the promised and returning Jewish Messiah.

So why is this "meeting" of prayers and meditations so important at the Vatican today?  Daniel's prophecy tells us of the remaining shabua, the 70th:

Daniel 9:27   27 "And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week [shabua], but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate."

Earlier I cited Nowtheendbegins' article on this matter, though I do not agree that Revelation 17 and 18 are describing the Vatican system.  Many Catholic and Protestant theologians have interpreted it this way, but that was before the rising of the American empire!  I believe "the city that reigns over the kings of the earth" (Rev. 17:18) is none other than New York!  It fits the prophecies of the scriptures Revelation 17 and 18 more precisely, and today, does indeed reign over the kings of the earth!

Who the final man of sin, the man of lawlessness is remains to be seen.  Daniel tells us that he will "confirm a covenant with the many for one shabua," and in the middle of the shabua, will stop sacrifice at the Jewish Temple.  The Apostle Paul, born-again into the truth about Yeshua, the Messiah, tells us that this one will "opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the Temple of God (Yahweh/Yeshua), displaying himself as being God."  (2 Thessalonians 2:4).

The only way to escape the coming destruction and horrors that are facing mankind is to cry out to the Lord Yeshua, for forgiveness of sins and everlasting life. "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me will live, even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die!" (John 11:25)  Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved!  (Rom 10:13).

For you are saved by grace, through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.  (Eph. 2:8,9).

The Pope says Baptism is for... Martians???

That's right... he said it!  "Baptism is for everyone, even Martians"  Now, not hearing the announcement, it sounds like it could have been meant as a exaggeration to emphasize a point, but really?  Why use that choice, unless something were up.  And we know that something IS up, as the Vatican owns the largest Binocular Telescope in the world, where, according to the research of Tom Horn and Cris Putnam, the Vatican has been "viewing" UFOs almost nightly on their infrared telescope named Lucifer.

The Aliens are coming, the Aliens are coming... no, I'm not Chicken Little!  I say this with good authority from the Word and wisdom of God.  Lord Yeshua said that the last days would be like the days of Noah.  Well, as Genesis 6 only gives us a small snippet of what was going on in the lifetime of Noah (the sons of God marrying the daughters of men, begetting giants/Nephilim and hybrids), the Jewish historical book of Enoch fills us in on more of the details that we miss from the Canon of Scripture.

The importance of all this is that the deception that is coming on the earth is in FULL SWING(!), and right on schedule.  The Nephilim, that have been living among us, around us, the demons and the fallen angels have been slowly working their way back into the public mind and sight.  And as the Pope says something like this, you can be sure the unveiling of the demonic deception is close.

Is the word “Easter” derived from the name of a pagan goddess? Is it appropriate to use that term to refer to the Resurrection day of Jesus Christ—and is the entire Lent season and Easter holiday tainted by association with ancient pagan religion?

We’re asked these questions each year during Lent. We’ve asked Mel Lawrenz, minister-at-large of Elmbrook Church and creative director of The Brook Network, to talk about this issue. His answer is below.

Question: Why do most Christians use the word “Easter” in reference to the Resurrection day of Jesus, when that word comes from a pagan goddess?

First, there never has been a direct association of the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus with the pagan deity. The celebration of the day of resurrection fell on the month of Eastre (West Saxon) or Eostre (Northumbrian). So it was a time of year that was the association, the name of a month. Now that month’s name was probably (not certainly) derived from a goddess of spring. But this association is remote and that is why if you use the word “Easter” in normal speech today, people make no association with ancient pagan religion. Hundreds of millions of Christians use “Easter,” and have done so for centuries, with the meaning of “the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus.”

Second, there are many words we use that have long-passed connections in pagan culture or religion, but their meaning has been changed. When we talk about going to church on “Sunday” we don’t have much heartburn about the fact that this day in the Roman calendar was for the worship of the sun. The examples are everywhere. And when we pass into January we mark a new beginning with little concern that the word “January” comes from the Roman god Janus, the god of doorways. Many of the words we use have some peculiar etymology. What matters is what the words mean to us today in normal spoken language.

One last point. Christians have often intentionally placed their symbols and labels on top of pagan symbols and labels because they believe this represents the conquest of the Lordship of Christ. When Christians began celebrating the birth of Jesus at the time of the pagan festival of Saturnalia near the winter solstice they were intentionally saying: the Son of God trumps the sun god.— Mel Lawrenz

All respect and brotherly love to Mr. Lawrenz, I disagree with his conclusions about passing over the pagan names so smoothly.  Indeed, nearly everything in our culture is named after, or for pagan gods or rituals.  Take Valentine.  Nowhere in the Bible are we considered to celebrate the romantic, lusty form of love, Eros, (i.e. lust) which so many in the church today celebrate, nor is there an a cute little naked angel named Cupid.  But Cupid was a god of the pagan beliefs, and being celebrated by pagans or Christians is still worship!

And as most "holidays" (holy days?) in the American Western Culture, our so-called holy-days are loved and celebrated by the world!  Do non-Jews celebrate Jewish holidays?  Do non-Muslims celebrate the Muslim holidays?  If you said no to both of those questions, good, you're paying attention!

The reason for this is that the Western "Chrisitan" celebration have been distorted and pulled from their origianl foundings.  The celebration of the Resurrection of the Saviour of humanity indeed should be celebrated, and remembered by Christians with Thanksgiving, but call it after the name of Ishtar/Astarte/Easter, who was the wife of Nimrod, Semiramus?  Especially when the sun god Ra/Horus/Apollo/Gilgamesh/Nimrod is one of the main contenders for returning as the antithesis of the Messiah of Judeo-Christian belief?

Earlier this year, we gave worship to the gods of Mt. Olympus, as the world paid attention, time, money and honor to the latest manifestation of the Olympian gods. Is it any wonder all these things are so?  The Bible tells us that the god of this world is none other than the diabolical one himself, once known as 'Light-bearer,' Lucifer, a.k.a. Satan (2 Cor. 4:4; Eph. 2:2; 1 Jn. 4:3, 5:19).  If the world is in his sway, his direction... and we are heading toward his kingdom (Dan. 7:19-21) ... should we not come out from them and be separate, says the LORD???

Come on Pat, Don't Be Ridiculous!!!

Recently, Ken Ham of the Back to Genesis Creation Institute held a debate with Brian Nye the science guy.  Afterwards Pat Robertson criticized Ham, who through years of study, has used science to demonstrate how in fact it does support a literal 6-day creation and 6,000 year old timeline.

Robertson argued that there’s too much scientific evidence in the world to assert the world is thousands, and not billions, of years old. He said, “To say that it all came about in 6000 years is just nonsense, and I think it’s time we come off of that stuff and say this is impossible.”

He implored fellow believers in God, “Let’s be real, let’s not make a joke of ourselves.” Robertson made it clear he still doesn’t believe in “so-called evolution,” but it doesn’t shake his faith one bit to have “progressive evolution” under the control of God.

Pat, what you have just done is drawn a line buddy in the Evangelical camp.  There is a great "scientific deception" (i.e., creation by E.T.s on big UFOs), and you have just given those who don't believe God's word is literally true, the green light to attack Christ-followers who do!  Even God, the founder of our faith, incarnated as Yeshua ben Josef, said, "Your Word (i.e. the Jewish Tanakh) is truth" (Jn. 17:17)

Pat has come out and shown His true colors!  He does not believe in a literal six-day creation, but rather a (non-scientific) belief in punctuated evolution where God steps in a points and directs our evolution!  Pat... in all your profound wisdom, you have set yourself up to agree with the "Aliens" of the occultic History Channel's  Ancient Aliens!  They claim to BE OUR CREATORS!  They teach, through the likes of so-called Ancient-Astronaut "experts," that they planted our seed on this planet, and stepped in at various times throughout human history/evolution to "direct our evolution."

You have opened the trap door for all the Christians and "Christians" who follow you to fall into Satan's age-old deception coming on the earth!  Way to go!

Yes, Pat's comments have got me hot!  Millions of believers done through time have given their lives in defense of God's literal word, and belief in it.  In just a couple of minutes you undermined and cast scorn on all of the Protestant Reformers and have aligned yourself with the Apostate Whore of Rome, which thinks it can change the eternal, unchangeable Word of God!

Now, let's look at some of the Biblical reasons what you said is beyond Ridiculous Pat!  First off, what is Science?  Science is the Latin term for knowledge, which begs the question, "Who's knowledge?"  Well, mankind's.  Based on Men's observation of nature and the laws through which it operates.  

The supposed scientific "enlightenment" came about when men (no longer enslaved to the spirits behind trees and rocks and nature) realized that they could learn and discover facts about the world around them through the study and observation of nature.  This is still true today.

What is knowledge?  Things that we can know.  Scripture tells us that the beginning of knowledge is the fear of the Lord (Prov. 1:7).  Modern academic Science, taught in our schools to our children, operates apart from (that is, starts without) a belief in or knowledge of the God of the Bible.  "Science", or "man's knowledge" has led to be one of the greatest stumbling blocks to faith in Creation and Christianity, this salvation.  The Apostle Paul tells us that "knowledge makes arrogant (puffs up) while love (agape, based on God's True revelation) builds up!

Evolution, punctuated or not, teaches that life developed (though the scientific law of Entropy totally refutes Macro-Evolution) through billions of years of suffering and death, while God's revelation teaches that Man was created by God on the sixth literal, 24 hour day of creation, and that death and suffering were no where to be found, until Eve was deceived by that  crafty Quetzl-Coatl, Lucifer, who deceived her by appealing to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life (Gen. 3:1-6; 1 John 2:16)

The Bible says that the Wages of Sin is Death (Rom. 3:23)!  Sin and suffering were not part of God's creation! That would mean that God created a world that was filled with death, suffering, abortive evolutionary attempts and violence for millions (or billions, depending on whose guessing scale of measure you use) of years.  That is not compatible with a Biblical Faith Pat!  You need to check yourself!  You are worshiping an edifice of Man, and not the God of the Bible!

Not only that... if that is not enough, it also informs knowledgeable people of faith in Romans 5:12:

 through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned—

Not only that, but Yeshua Himself believed in a literal 6 day creation and a literal Adam and Eve who were IN THE BEGINNING!  (Mk. 10:7-9).  You have the genealogy of the GOSPEL of Luke, which teaches a literal YOUNG-EARTH, 6,000 year record (Luke 3:38).  

Romans 5:14

Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.

1 Corinthians 15:22

For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

1 Corinthians 15:45

So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

1 Timothy 2:13

For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve.

1 Timothy 2:14

And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.

So Pat... do you not believe the Word of God??? Through your simple and rash statement, you denied much of the teaching of the New Testament. Believe in a Theistic Evolution and a Biblical Faith ARE NOT COMPATIBLE! The Bible says so itself. Only Science (i.e. knowledge) that starts with Yhwh as the Creator (Pr.1:7) and the first building block, can be viewed as true to reality in God's order!
