3MIN News December 18, 2012: The Throat of Fire
Interesting monitoring of the weather and astronomical phenomenon. Scanning youtube, seems many are afraid that the earth will end on Dec. 21st. THAT IS SIMPLY NOT THE CASE. I think the possibility for the rapture is strong, but we DON'T KNOW EVEN THAT! The Bible teaches the man filled with Satan's power will rule during a period of seven years, then Yeshua ha Mashiach will reign for 1,000 years.
We may wake up on Dec. 22nd just like everyone else, but the changes of the ages as predicted in the Bible is coming fast and strong. Many will be destroyed and lose their lives, either because they chose not to follow the Messiah, or because the chose to follow Him. But those who know Him will live. (Rom. 10:13; 1 Thess. 4:16,17).

Will Israel be Divided?
Scripture speaks of many things having to do with Israel. In fact, it speaks of the Jews breaking Yahweh's covenant, being exiled and being brought back to their land at the beginning before they ever enter (Dt. 30:1-5). It does state that they will be brought back, that they will indeed possess the land. 5 "The LORD your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers. The prophet Ezekiel also devotes two entire chapters to the nation and people being restored (Ezek. 36,37).
Deuteronomy 30:5
But one thing the scriptures DO NOT state is that the land will be divided or taken away from them again after the LORD God has restored them to the land promised to Abraham (Gen. 12:3). All this political posturing of the PA and incitement to riot in Egypt... and their own citizens just want their leaders to take care of them. But the leaders are on a fervish course to wipe out the nation of Israel. As Ahmadenijad has said, he has spoken to "the Mahdi," who is a spiritual entity, who is not supposed to arrive until a time of global chaos and bloodshed. So it appears that there is clearly a malevolent spiritual force at work, seeking to incite violent war, chaos and bloodshed. It's the making of all your Hollywood apocalyptic movies. And I think is the inspiration for most of these movies.
I am thankful the resolution for a Palestinian state has been delayed. I think it has been done in answer to prayer. Scripture says that "the LORD is not slow as some count slowness, but is patient with you, desiring that none would perish, but everyone come to repentance" (2 Ptr. 3:9). Indeed, it would seem that Psalm 2 is addressed to the nations and political leaders of today, fighting against what Yahweh Himself is doing in bringing the Jews back. But on closer reflection, the leaders fighting against the Jews and warring on them is in fact what Yahweh Himself is doing.
To see this, look at Ezekiel 38. The LORD Himself says in verse 4, "I will bring you out..." and verse 16 we are told why: "It shall come about in the last days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me when I am sanctified through you before their eyes, O Gog." Ezekiel 38:16
So we see that Yahweh is doing this for His glory, and the praise of His name. He has chosen the tribe of Israel to fulfill the promises to the first parents, Adam and Eve, of a seed who would crush the head of the Serpent, who tempted them to disobey their loving Creator God. He brings glory and praise to His name by bringing the enemies of His chosen people against Israel, under the influence of the evil one, and through His chosen people, defeating them, and manifesting His power and glory. (Ezek. 38:1-17)
The apostle Paul described it in this way: 22 What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction? 23 And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory,
Romans 9:22-23
Which are you? An object of God's mercy? If you repent of your sins, and trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation, you are. 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Romans 10:9-10
The LORD God is accomplishing His will among our day, and we see it quickly coming to fruition. If you have never repented of your sins, do it today, while it is still called the day of grace. We are getting ready to move into a period of time, when the global government comes to power, and the wrath of God is going to be unleashed upon the earth. I know many people have taught that the four apocalyptic horsemen are now (and have been) upon the earth, but the first of those horsemen is the coming one-world ruler, seeming like a savior, coming in the name of peace, and he will destroy many. And in his wake, the other three will quickly follow behind.
"It is appointed for a man to die once, and after this comes the judgment." Hebrews. 9:27
Trust Him while there's still time. (Rom. 10:9-10)

End of the World - May 21st
I know this news has been out there for a little bit. According to the calculations of Harold Camping, the "end of the world" will be on May 21st.
It's pretty easy to refute. Jesus said that no man would know the day nor the hour, though he did say that you will know the season. His disciples had asked him what would be the signs of His return, and when would He restore the kingdom to Israel (the very thing our world leaders are trying to reverse right now - Gen. 12:3)?
He responded and gave them a description of the signs that will signal His near return. Normally, I would cite Matthew 24, but the same dialogue, or aspects of it, is also recorded in Mark 13 and Luke 21.
First he says, "See to it that you are not misled; for many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and, 'The time is near.' Do not go after them. Luke 21:8 (NASB95)
He goes on to tell his disciples, "When you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified; for these things must take place first, but the end does not follow immediately." Luke 21:9 (NASB95)
So he tells us here that when we see the wars and disturbances, not to be terrified, for the end does not follow immediately. Jesus continues,
10 Then He continued by saying to them, "Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, 11 and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven. Luke 21:10-11 (NASB95)
Some think that here he was referring to Is. 19:2, which I've previously mentioned in this blog, when he tells them that "Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom." From here He warns them in vss. 12-19 of the persecution that is to precede and coincide all these events for those who follow His teaching
Then He tells how to discern that the end time is nigh for His return. Is it a time of prosperity and Israeli-Judeo renaisance? It's not. one of the key signs of Christ's soon return is that of Jerusalem being surrounded by armies. 20 "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that her desolation is near.

I've said before, "Israel is God's time-clock." By watching the nation of Israel, we can see the aproximate timing of things. Now about Harold Camping's prediction, because he said it, I know that it will not occur then, though that'd be great! It's the day after my birthday, and my wife's is May 22nd, so, it'd be the perfect birthday present! By Camping making this assertion, it just lends incredulity to the Christian truth, and it distracts earnest believers from the real task at hand.
The apostle Paul tells us that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Eph 6:12 (NASB95) This world in this last hour is being directed by demonic forces, guiding us all into a one-world system, one government, one currency and one religion (new age "oneness" spirituality). Many are still held captive in their sins, and are under condemnation, for they do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. (Jn. 3:16-18)
A quick run-down on the end-time schedule. The scripture gives three end-time battles before the return of Christ in power and glory (Zech. 14:9). There will be the soon, maybe now forming battle of Ps. 83, against all the neighboring countries, the Philistines and descendents of Esau, who are mostly Muslim and out to destroy Israel. This battle is coming soon. Shortly following this, there will be an invasion against Israel, led by Russia (Magog) and Iran (Persia) against the quiet land of Israel. It will have other Muslim countries like Libya (Phut) and Sudan (Cush) involved in it. This will be the greatest display of YHWH's power since the days Israel fled Egypt under Moses. It should also be the final battle to end Islam, as the disillusioned Muslims drop the hateful teachings of their religion, as the goal of their religion (destruction of the Jews and global Caliphate) is not realized.
Hopefully many at this time will turn to Christ and to His saving grace, for the cleansing and forgiveness of their sins. It is not too early today, if you do not know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, you can place your trust in Him today. The Savior invites you, 28 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30 "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Birth pangs about to Birth?
3 As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?

See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. 7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. 8 "But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.

In one of the most famous, most oft-quoted passages by Jesus to describe the conditions of the last days to his disciples. Some key signs of the last days is an exponential increase of false teachers, turning people away from sound doctrine of scripture (a.k.a. 19th-21st centuries), seeming wars non-stop, and it's almost necessary consequence, famine. Jesus also said that there would be an increase in natural weather-related disasters.
For some time now, we have heard of wars, and rumors of wars, seemingly escalating over the past decade almost exponentially. Isaiah 19 describes Yahweh turning Egytians against Egyptians. We've seen that happening in the last two weeks. The unrest and revolt has spread throughout the Middle East. The same thing is happening in Libya (Biblical "Put"). Gaddafi has purportedly hired mercanaries to come in and fire live ammo on his own citizens, as his military sides with the people.1
This past year Al Gore said that the world is growing warmer (due to the gases that the trees use for photosynthesis, CO2). God often shows a divine sense of irony. This winter has been one of the coldest winters on record. Some might argue that it's not really been the coldest, yes, there's been colder winters, but the amounts of snow, and some places that haven't/don't see much snow. Gore is now proclaiming, Fox news reports, that "Snowmeggedon" is caused by Global Warming.2 I'd have to say that the Weather-Maker is demonstrating to Al Gore who is really in control. Which makes more rational sense?
But it's not just the snow and ice, which most in the U.S. are getting a treatment to (and especially youse guys in the northern parts). but there are also mudslides happening in South America (Brazil to be exact), and Guatemala,3 devastating flooding in Pakistan4 and Australia5, where flooding has covered more land than France and Geremany together. And not only that, but volcanoes not just in the "Rim of Fire," but around the world, seem to be erupting. They have been erupting in Iceland (which disrupted air travel for at least a week in Europe), Japan, Russia and Hawaii, and indeed, more in the rim of fire.6
It's been argued, "But all these things have been happening for thousands of years." Indeed, they have. But not in an increasing amount, and at the same time. Let's look at Christ's words. Ladies, help us out here! What occurs when the time to birth draws near? The labor pains get more frequent and closer together, and in general, more intense. The reason I chose this passage, is that we can see all around us, these signs are happening almost (and sometimes) simultaneously!
Many times people argue, "But no one knows the day or the hour!" You are right! BUT, Jesus did say that we will know the season. He tells us later in Matthew 24:33 "so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door."
Then He says something very interesting, 34 "Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. So the question becomes, which generation is He talking about? Well, I don't have time to go into the detail about this, but He's speaking of the generation that sees Israel reborn to the promised land. When was that? It happened in 1948, that the land of Israel was officially reinstituted as a nation. This is why there was a big fervor on the return of Christ in 1988, it was 40 years from the rebirth of Israel, which was considered a generation in the Old Testament wilderness wanderings coming into the promised land.
Turns out that this was not the time that was planned in our Makers datebook. I don't know about you, but 2008 was 60 years. All scripture to this point has been fulfilled to the "T". Eat your heart out Nostrodamus! Psalm 90, the oldest Psalm, the only one attributed to Moses, speaks of a generation as being "70 years, or 80, if one has the strength" (Ps. 90:10). I don't know about you, but 2008 was 60 years!
Before Jesus returns in power and glory, as the "Lion of Judah," the "man of lawlessness" must reign for 7 years, through a peace treaty he institutes in the Middle East with Israel. So if we assume that 70 years is the norm for a generation, as Moses states, that would put us at 2018 being the return of Christ. That would put the entrance of antichrist 7 years earlier, in 2011. Wait a minute, that's THIS YEAR!!! At the rate of escalation of unrest, and MUSLIM vows to destroy the West, I could see the sitz-im-leben being ripe for this one-world leader7 making his entrance on the world stage.
But for this to happen, 1 Thess. 4:16-17 teaches that the Church will be taken out of the world, which 2 Thess. 2:7-8 will then make the way clear for this "man of lawlessness" to deceive the world. Will 2011 be a good year? All I know is that the time is close, but more than that, none of us are promised tommorrow! Are you ready to meet your maker? If not, repent (turn from) your sins before God and ask Him to forgive you of your sins. Then start reading your Bible and praying every day. All these things, are preparing us all to meet our Maker.

Before Jesus returns in power and glory, as the "Lion of Judah," the "man of lawlessness" must reign for 7 years, through a peace treaty he institutes in the Middle East with Israel. So if we assume that 70 years is the norm for a generation, as Moses states, that would put us at 2018 being the return of Christ. That would put the entrance of antichrist 7 years earlier, in 2011. Wait a minute, that's THIS YEAR!!! At the rate of escalation of unrest, and MUSLIM vows to destroy the West, I could see the sitz-im-leben being ripe for this one-world leader7 making his entrance on the world stage.
But for this to happen, 1 Thess. 4:16-17 teaches that the Church will be taken out of the world, which 2 Thess. 2:7-8 will then make the way clear for this "man of lawlessness" to deceive the world. Will 2011 be a good year? All I know is that the time is close, but more than that, none of us are promised tommorrow! Are you ready to meet your maker? If not, repent (turn from) your sins before God and ask Him to forgive you of your sins. Then start reading your Bible and praying every day. All these things, are preparing us all to meet our Maker.
