When I first wrote this, I, for lack of time, didn't include my wife's revelation.  The updated material is in the third and fourth paragraphs.  :-)

Two weeks ago, my family and I were sitting in the Sunday service, in the rear of the sanctuary, as we got there late!  It was the Sunday before Christmas.  The pastor had brought a good sermon, with the emphasis upon the Messiah-child, as it should be.  At the end of the sermon during the invitation, we were all standing in the sanctuary, and my wife and I were worshipping as the invitation song was being played.

All of a sudden, the LORD came upon me and gave me a realization, "He's coming!  And most of these (people) will perish!  As the realization hit me, I was almost knocked down.  I was greatly angered, yet greatly sorrowed at the same time, and started crying.  I was reeling from the shock of the realization!

I noticed my wife also started crying during worship at about the same time.  I thought (in my typical man-centeredness) that it was because she was touched that I looked so upset.  Turns out, the LORD had given her a vision.  We had been studying on and learning all about the pagan origins of Christ-mass.  In the back of the church sanctuary, we could view all the Christ-mass ornamentations.

The vision the Lord gave my wife was of pagans worshipping and offering sacrifice on an altar, then, after the pagans finished, the Christians came up up and offered on the same altar!  And this is what the LORD said it was like to Him!  Christians, who follow (or claim to) Messiah, joining themselves to pagan altars, giving worship to Satan and Nimrod in the holy place.  God is greatly grieved!  'Come out of her and be seperate!'  Says the Lord!  Be holy, as I am holy!

Not one person went forward at the end of the service in the Christmas-filled congregation!

I have waited until now to say anything about it, because I did not want to be one who impulsively blurts out everything, until I am more sure of the purpose and the intent of the revelations.

I'm sure that you've seen in the news that Joihn Kerry is in the midst of much travel, flurrying back and forth from the U.S. to the Middle East, working with colleagues and partners, kings of the earth, to work a negotionation out, a peace treaty.  As my wife points out, they've been triyng to do that for years!  Yes, but it seems that there is a special push by the media concerning this effort.  It seems that attention is really being drawn to this treaty negotiation.

It appears that this year may bring in a peace treaty with the Middle East.  If it does, that will be HUGE!!!  Apart from all the natural signs and birth pains and eerie sounds we are witnessing from around the globe, this will be of major prophetic fulfillment.  And the LORD has raised up a number of Watchmen that are sounding the alarm!

In Daniel 9, 70 sevens are declared for Israel to "to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place (Daniel 9:24)."    The first 69 sevens (shabuas) were completed when Yeshua Mashiach was lifted up onto the tree, buried and rose three days later (Hos. 6:1,2).  The Seventieth seven awaits its fulfillment with the signing of a seven year peace treaty, and the re-establishment of the Temple of YHWH ha El-Elyon.

If the "realization" that came upon me were true, and I believe it was, and a seven year peace treaty  is signed for the Middle East, hold on to your hats!  Seven years from 2014 will be 2021.  The Bible declares Seven years for this shabua to be fulfilled, and after that, Messiah will return!

Zechariah 12:9-10   9 "And in that day I will set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.  10 "I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. 

Believer, time is short.  As John tells us: 28 Now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming (1 John 2:28  ).  If you have never entered into a personal, saving relationship with Jesus Christ, you can do so today by calling out to His name, and agreeing with God that you are a sinner, and need his forgiveness (Rom. 10:9-10, 13).

Did Balaam Prophesy Israel's Victory? (Numb. 24)

This morning I was doing my morning devotion and my “read through the Bible in a year,” and I was in 1 Sam. 15.  But a commentary on one of the verses referenced a prophecy that Balaam had made about Israel’s king being greater than Agag, the Amalekite king.  My first read through Numbers this year, I didn’t make such a note, of this prophecy, I was so enthralled with how YHWH was taking this pagan diviner, and using him to bless Israel, much to the chagrin of king Balak.

⁵ How fair are your tents, O Jacob, Your dwellings, O Israel!  ⁶ "Like valleys that stretch out, Like gardens beside the river, Like aloes planted by the LORD, Like cedars beside the waters.  ⁷ "Water will flow from his buckets, And his seed will be by many waters, And his king shall be higher than Agag, And his kingdom shall be exalted.  Numbers 24:5-7   

And then we have a reiteration of the promise that YHWH made to Abraham, to curse those who curse Israel, and bless those who bless Israel, showing that Balaam was really speaking through the mouth of YHWH: Numbers 24:9  ⁹ "He couches, he lies down as a lion, And as a lion, who dares rouse him? Blessed is everyone who blesses you, And cursed is everyone who curses you."

I know this is a side tangent, but it seems as if the nations of the world, under the leadership of the U.N., are standing against and opposed to the King of All.  They are taking their stands and stance against Israel, the Covenant People of Elohim YHWH. 

Psalm 87:2-3  ² The LORD loves the gates of Zion More than all the other dwelling places of Jacob.  Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. Selah.

The nations of this world, led by the occultism of Helena Blavatsky in The Secret Doctrine, are falling in line with the ruler of this world (1 John 5:19), to bring about his one-world empire (Dan. 7:19), and it is quickly falling into place.

But what about Balaam’s prophecy.  It seems to have foreseen King Saul’s defeat of Agag and the Amalekites in that region, but did his prophecy indeed go beyond to the last days?  Before his departure, Balaam tells king Balak:

Numbers 24:14, 17-19   I will advise you what this people will do to your people in the days to come."… ¹⁷ "I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near; A star shall come forth from Jacob, A scepter shall rise from Israel, And shall crush through the forehead of Moab, And tear down all the sons of Sheth.  ¹⁸ "Edom shall be a possession, Seir, its enemies, also will be a possession, while Israel performs valiantly.  ¹⁹ "One from Jacob shall have dominion, And will destroy the remnant from the city."

Num. 24:19 is one messianic prophecy that could be used in disproving Islam, for the Muslims say Muhammed is the final prophet of God.  But clearly here, a pagan diviner predicted that one descended from Jacob, that is, Israel himself, would be the ruler, and would have dominion.

Back to the prophecy, we see hear ancient foes of Israel mentioned, many of whom are closely related to Israel.  And many of these nations mentioned, Moab, the sons of Sheth, Edom and Seir ( a mountain range in the territory of Edom) are also mentioned in Psalm 83, described what most theologians today believe is a final battle to initiate the ultimate signing of the peace treaty prophesied in Daniel 9:27, by this one who confirms the covenant, but in the middle of the seven years, takes his seat in the Temple of God, calling himself God, and requiring all peoples to take the mark of his name and worship him!

The list in Psalm 83 is more expansive, including all of the enemies living around Israel currently in the Middle East:

Psalm 83:4-8  ⁴ They have said, "Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, That the name of Israel be remembered no more."  ⁵ For they have conspired together with one mind; Against You they make a covenant:  ⁶ The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites;  ⁷ Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;  ⁸ Assyria also has joined with them; They have become a help to the children of Lot. Selah.

As always, we look with confindence to Almighty God’s Word, because in it He has declared the end from the beginning, and He has revealed to us about Himself, His redemptive purposes and ways.  Let us fear God, for His destruction is coming quickly upon the earth.  Turn from your sinful way of life, and read God’s word, and obey it.  Maranatha!

The Two Witnesses and the U.N. (Rev. 11:9)

This morning in my quiet time, I was reading in Revelation 11-13, firstly about the "beast from the earth," who is the false prophet (many assume to be the next pope, 'Peter the Roman').  Then I got focused on the two witnesses, sent from God to warn the peoples of the earth, I was reading in the Holman Christian translation, and the phrase "those from the peoples" is worded, "representatives from..."  It occurred to me that those mentioned in verse 9 had authority over Jerusalem, to order the peoples not to bury the bodies of the two witnesses (Greek: martyrs).  Verse 10 states that "those who dwell on th earth will rejoice" denoting a difference between those in the Middle Eastern locality, and those around th world, viewing from their smartphones, televisions and iPads.

Revelation 11:9-12 ⁹ Those from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not permit their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb. ¹⁰ And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and celebrate; and they will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth. ¹¹ But after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God came into them, and they stood on their feet; and great fear fell upon those who were watching them. ¹² And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." Then they went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them.

Could it be that these representatives from the nations, tribes and tongues who have authority to withhold burial of these two witnesses is indeed the U.N., a international agency made up of representatives of all the nations represented, and by that time, all nations of the world (Dan. 7:19).

Further evidence that Israel is facing a “gathering storm” in the Middle East came Tuesday as the dictator of Damascus made one of his most serious threats to date against the State of Israel and the Jewish people. Excerpt from Ynet News: ”Syrian President Bashar Assad on Tuesday threatened to set fire to the Middle East, and especially to Israel, if NATO attacks Syria, the Iranian Fars news agency reported. In a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Assad said: ‘If a crazy measure is taken against Damascus, I will need not more than six hours to transfer hundreds of rockets and missiles to the Golan Heights to fire them at Tel Aviv.’….According to the Fars news agency, the Syrian president stressed that Damascus will also call on Hezbollah in Lebanon to launch a fierce rocket and missile attack on Israel, one that Israeli intelligence could never imagine.” The Israeli daily newspaper Haaretz also reported the story.



The good news: the Jewish state is more secure at the moment than any other time in her 63-year modern history. The bad news: grave threats are rising from Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, Turkey, Egypt and elsewhere in the region.

For students of Bible Prophecy, we have been watching Syria, as the devastation predicted in Isaiah 17:1 has yet to occur, and so many believe that scripture is to be fulfilled in the near future with events related to Israel, and the Messiah's return at the end of the 70th week (Dan. 9:27). 

It appears that tensions in Syria are escalating, and this "gentle eye-doctor" running Syria is resorting to making threats, and fomenting Muslim rage against the chosen people.in the land of Israel.  It appears that the pronouncements of this prophecy are coming to be more quickly as international pressure is applied to Syria, and Muslim leaders increasingly use Israel as their scapegoat.

And as Joel points out in his blog, the threats arising against Israel are increasing form all around her.  To our human eyes this indeed looks like a grave situation for Israel, indeed.  It appears that the Muslim goal of wiping Israel off the map is about to be accomplished.  But the scriptures tell us a different story. 

Ps. 83 tells of a coming war with all Israel's surrounding enemies.  And the psalm ends with a cry for justice to Yahweh to destroy the enemies as the LORD has done in past battles (Ps. 83:9-12). 

² For behold, Your enemies make an uproar, And those who hate You have exalted themselves. ³ They make shrewd plans against Your people, And conspire together against Your treasured ones. ⁴ They have said, "Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, That the name of Israel be remembered no more." ⁵ For they have conspired together with one mind; Against You they make a covenant:

This fits the situation of Israel and the Middle East perfectly, as does Isaiah 19 with all that has been developing in Egypt.  And as God's word has been fulfilled perfectly and will be till the end (Matt. 5:18), we should heed its foreboding warning with great sobriety.  As the crisis develops in the Middle East, and with the State of Israel, it seems Syria gets further entangled in the situation.  Its' leaders should give heed to the word of the Most High:

Isaiah 17:1 The oracle concerning Damascus. "Behold, Damascus is about to be removed from being a city And will become a fallen ruin.

Will Israel be Divided?

Scripture speaks of many things having to do with Israel.  In fact, it speaks of the Jews breaking Yahweh's covenant, being exiled and being brought back to their land at the beginning before they ever enter (Dt. 30:1-5).  It does state that they will be brought back, that they will indeed possess the land.  ⁵ "The LORD your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers.   The prophet Ezekiel also devotes two entire chapters to the nation and people being restored (Ezek. 36,37).

But one thing the scriptures DO NOT state is that the land will be divided or taken away from them again after the LORD God has restored them to the land promised to Abraham (Gen. 12:3).  All this political posturing of the PA and incitement to riot in Egypt... and their own citizens just want their leaders to take care of them.  But the leaders are on a fervish course to wipe out the nation of Israel.  As Ahmadenijad has said, he has spoken to "the Mahdi," who is a spiritual entity, who is not supposed to arrive until a time of global chaos and bloodshed.  So it appears that there is clearly a malevolent spiritual force at work, seeking to incite violent war, chaos and bloodshed.  It's the making of all your Hollywood apocalyptic movies.  And I think is the inspiration for most of these movies.

I am thankful the resolution for a Palestinian state has been delayed.  I think it has been done in answer to prayer.  Scripture says that "the LORD is not slow as some count slowness, but is patient with you, desiring that none would perish, but everyone come to repentance" (2 Ptr. 3:9).  Indeed, it would seem that Psalm 2 is addressed to the nations and political leaders of today, fighting against what Yahweh Himself is doing in bringing the Jews back.  But on closer reflection, the leaders fighting against the Jews and warring on them is in fact what Yahweh Himself is doing.

To see this, look at Ezekiel 38.  The LORD Himself says in verse 4, "I will bring you out..." and verse 16 we are told why: "It shall come about in the last days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me when I am sanctified through you before their eyes, O Gog." Ezekiel 38:16

So we see that Yahweh is doing this for His glory, and the praise of His name.  He has chosen the tribe of Israel to fulfill the promises to the first parents, Adam and Eve, of a seed who would crush the head of the Serpent, who tempted them to disobey their loving Creator God.  He brings glory and praise to His name by bringing the enemies of His chosen people against Israel, under the influence of the evil one, and through His chosen people, defeating them, and manifesting His power and glory. (Ezek. 38:1-17)

The apostle Paul described it in this way: ²² What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction? ²³ And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory,
Romans 9:22-23

Which are you?  An object of God's mercy?  If you repent of your sins, and trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation, you are.  ⁹ that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; ¹⁰ for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Romans 10:9-10

The LORD God is accomplishing His will among our day, and we see it quickly coming to fruition.  If you have never repented of your sins, do it today, while it is still called the day of grace.  We are getting ready to move into a period of time, when the global government comes to power, and the wrath of God is going to be unleashed upon the earth.  I know many people have taught that the four apocalyptic horsemen are now (and have been) upon the earth, but the first of those horsemen is the coming one-world ruler, seeming like a savior, coming in the name of peace, and he will destroy many.  And in his wake, the other three will quickly follow behind.
"It is appointed for a man to die once, and after this comes the judgment."  Hebrews. 9:27

The Third Palestinian Intifada - May 15th

The Next Big Israeli- Mid-East war could very well be this Friday!  The Facebook page calling for a third Palestinian Intifada on the nation of Israel, is not being reported in the Western media.  Egyptian protestors in Cairo this past Friday were marching on the Israeli Embassy there in Cairo, and pledging allegiance to the Palestinians and the Intifada.



The blog, uprootedpalestinians.blogspot.com, has posted a blog on this coming Intifada that the Arab world is calling for.  This blog is very much from a Palestiniana bias.  It quotes Netanyahu saying "The Arab World has experienced an earthquake."  Then, Dr. Ashraf Ezzat goes to say: "Passing that quick judgment, Netanyahu overlooked the fact that that mighty earthquake was actually taking place next door and that Israel was bound to feel the aftershocks sooner or later."

Trust me Dr., Mr. Netanyahu didn't overlook this fact.  The Bible promises the restoration of the Jews throughout the 0ld Testament.  They are well aware that all the nations around them are out to destroy them.  Students of Bible prophecy know that this upcoming Intifada sounds alot like a war described in Psalm 83.  This war will result in the victory of Israel and the devastation of the neighboring Muslim countries that come against Israel.



Another prophecy many look to be fulfilled soon is that of Isaiah 17:1 that predicts the annihilation of Damascus, the capital of Syrai, and headquarters to multiple terrorist (Muslim) groups. 



This weekend could very well change our lives in major ways.

Current Mid-East Rumblings

As Libya continues to struggle with revolution and freedom from the tyrannical tribal regime of Quadaffi, and Assad, and his forces disperse protestors in Syria... the Islamic revolution continues to line nations up to fulfill Biblical prophecy.

As the powers in Egypt continue to vie for control, it increasingly looks as if Isaiah 19:4 is being fulfilled, and a group of harsh masters will rule over the people.  Could this scripture indeed be referring to the Muslim Brotherhood? 

There are rumors on the news last night, that as NATO struck Quadaffi's conference center, that the ruler has been killed.  Whether or not he is taken out, and another comes to power, scriptures tell us in Ezekiel 38 that Libya (a.k.a. "Put") will align with Russia (a.k.a. "Gog") to wage one of the  greatest attacks in human history against the people living in the tiny nation of Israel.  I like to think of this battle as described by the prophet, as the "Battle to End All Atheism," for YHWH Himself will fight for and defend Israel with terrific and great natural forces not seen since the days Israel first left out of Egypt.

Of course, if my outline of Bible prophecy is correct (and I think it is shared by many), then that battle is going to make for the entrance of the one-world ruler, who will amaze the world with his plan for peace.  But he will ultimately put many to death and oppose the true Prince of Peace (Is. 9:6).

Everything is falling in place for all these prophecies to be fulfilled.  Everything from the apostasy to take place in the last days (is fully underway), to the technological advances required to fit the descriptions of events described, such as the entire world viewing the bodies of the two witness killed in Jerusalem, to the alignment of nations against the people of Israel.

The LORD, speaking of restoring His chosen people in the last days, bringing them back from Egypt, Assyria, Gilead and Lebanon (and we have seen this being fulfilled in our day) says through Zechariah:


11"And they will pass through the sea of distress
And He will strike the waves in the sea,
So that all the depths of the Nile will dry up;
And the pride of Assyria will be brought down
And the scepter of Egypt will depart.
12"And I will strengthen them in the LORD,
And in His name they will walk," declares the LORD.

The present turmoil in the Islamic nations seems to be lining the naitons up in their rage against the tiny nation of Jews living in the Middle-East, to fulfill the prophecy spelled out in Psalm 83, where the author of the Psalm cries out to God to act in justice against all the neighboring lands that are gathering together to destroy Israel, to wipe them off the face of the earth (sound like anyone you know?). 

To borrow the phrase from a great Bible-teacher, Jack Kelley, "You can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah."

This should not be suprising, as Islam is fundamentally a violent religion, even among various sects of Islam. As the UN is increasingly swayed by Muslim countries, and we increasingly compromise with them, instead of sending them the true peace-makers, more violence, oppression and attack will occur to all who oppose the goals of Islam.

There is only one Prince of Peace (Is. 9:6), and His return is quickly nearing.  No one knows the exact day of His return, but as laid out by Biblical events foretold by the Spirit, it is quickly advancing!  Maranatha!
8'Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession. 9'You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.'"  

10 Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; Take warning, O judges of the earth. 
11Worship the LORD with reverence And rejoice with trembling.  12Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be kindled. 

How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!

The End Comes Like a Flood...

“The end will come like a flood…”


Matthew 24:39 39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Mn be.

2 Peter 2:5 5 and did not spare athe ancient world, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly;



I don’t know about you, but it seems like things are happening almost too fast to be writing about.



People have said for ages that “things have gone this way for thousands of years!” Indeed they have. But now events are escalating, just as Jesus taught, “these things are the beginning of birth pangs.” In the Bible, God says that everything should be judged on the testimony of two or three witnesses.



In keeping with His characteristic faithfulness, the Lord gives us a number of categories, which can be broken to subcategories, to judge His return. These categories are



1) Return of Israel,



2) Natural Disasters/Catastrophes,



3) Wars/Globalization,



4) Religious Movements Offering a Works Salvation/False Christs



5) Proclamation of the Gospel to All Nations (Matt. 24:14)

*These five categories can be read about in Matthew chapter 24.



The purpose of this blog is not to detail all five of these categories, but to bring the enormity of signs the Lord has given to us to be able to discern His returning. In fact, in Matt. 24:33, Jesus says, “so too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door.”



This morning as I typed, CBN news reported the amount of earthquakes in Oklahoma have increased tenfold!

The year 2010 began with a deadly earthquake in Haiti. But before the year ended, more than 20 earthquakes struck worldwide, reaching a magnitude of 7.0 or higher -- the largest number of major earthquakes in 40 years. That trend is continuing, most recently in New Zealand.

There was a 5.4 magnitude earthquake in southwest China, near the border region of Myanmar.



In April of 2009, if some of you remember, 300 tons of Sardines, fish and 1300 penguins washed ashore dead in Chile. As of March 8th, 2011, millions of dead Sardines wash up in Redondo beach, California. Earlier in January of this past year, birds were falling dead from the sky by the hundreds and thousands everywhere from Arkansas to Sweden



In researching the sources for this, UFO Chronicles makes an attempt to connect the dead birds and fish… I mean, it all did happen at the same time. Cosmic coincidence? Not likely. But the UFO Chronicle’s story was cut short right after “What Bible Prophecy says” At the hyperlink, it is reported the article was removed due to “violation of terms.”



It seems that hostility toward Christians or even conservatives or those who hold Judeo-Christian values, is on the rise. In Germany several parents of school children were jailed, because they did not want their nine and ten-year olds being made to participate in a mandatory same-sex education class, where the children have to participate in an interactive play.



According to the attorney, many Christian parents objected to the programs' content. "They believed that under international law and [under] German law, they had every right to remove their children from those classes and instill in their children their own Christian beliefs about sexuality and love and marriage and chastity -- and for this, ten parents have been sent to jail."



In seminary, it was told us by our seminary professor, that Europe is about 15-20 years ahead of us. That was five years ago we were told that. I’m not so sure the gap is so great now. The desensitization towards immorality and vulgarity on societies has gone a long way, and with the advent of personal technological gadgets, even Christians have a hard time sitting down to read and meditate on the Bible.



Not only in Germany is this discrimination by political elites and agencies on the rise, but also in America. One of the board members of NPR was caught on tape lambasting tea party goers as racist, and saying it was some sort of fringe “evangelical Christian” group. Ummm…. Let me check, Christians view all humanity as created in the image of God, and able to find reconciliation to their Maker if they repent of their sinful ways, and confess Christ, who died for them, as their Savior and Lord. Therefore, Christians (who by the way, in America are becoming a minority of world Christians) can not be racist. And this blog is not the place to speak of all the good Christianity has brought the world. And no, Roman Catholicism is not Christianity, it is a Christian heresy that teaches salvation by works, denying the central message of the New Testament.



Which is another point of concern, the man known as “America’s Pastor,” who sold millions of copies of the Purpose Driven Life, is beginning to show his true colors. Besides being on the board of Tony Blair’s ecumenical organization, which seeks to unite the world religions, he has instituted a program at his church this year, known as the “Daniel plan,” using a Biblical name to give it legitimacy. To lead his parishioners in this plan, he has brought on board three doctors who are new age proponents.



To the shock and dismay of many Christians, a well-known, intelligent and zealous pastor, John Piper, has decided to stand by Warren for a second time. Many are defending him in this move, and trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but many others feel that this give legitimacy to Warren and all his teachings, which, according to the New Testament teachings, would make him considered anathema (Gal. 1:8-9).





Finally, one more category that I would like to mention, that is on most everyone’s radar screens right now, especially as it drives our gas and inflation rates up, is the Middle East tensions. I haven’t spoke too much of the uprising in Libya until now, but it is addressed in the Bible, playing a large role against Israel in the last days, in Ezekiel 38. Joel Rosenberg wrote a nice piece on this on his blog. But essentially, the uprisings are moving the whole world along in God’s prophetic plan, and the nearing day of Messiah.



Gas and Oil prices continue to climb in the midst of this unrest and governmental wars of the peoples revolting against their governmental leaders, kings in most cases, within the Muslim countries. But as the prices continue to rise, and everything else along with it, and the spirit of anarchy spreads and grows worldwide, this whole situation could lead us right into the one world government.



If the spirit of unrest continues to grow, and war breaks out in America, and nations are made into military states, then the U.N. would be able to seize control, and impose upon the world the Global socialist system by which they could consolidate power and money. And then the one-world leader could arise, the Maitreya, the world-teacher, that New-Agers are awaiting, the Psuedo-Christ spoken of in scripture as the man of lawlessness.



23"Thus he said: 'The fourth beast will be a fourth kingdom on the earth, which will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth and tread it down and crush it.

Eight Reasons not to be Optimistic about Egypt

Dennis Prager wrote an insightful, excellent article in Jewish World Review about eight historically true indicators of why we should not be overly optimistic concerning Egypt.  And according to Prager's assessment, this would reinforce the words of the prophet Isaiah, uttered over 2,700 yrs. ago.

4 "Moreover, I will deliver the Egyptians into the hand of a cruel master,

Rioting Ordained or Preordained?

Joel Rosenburg reports that Ahmadenijad tells Muslims that the 12th Imam's hand is directing the unrest in Egypt and the Middle East.1  Haaretz, an Israeli newspaper reports how the IDF Deputy Chief of Staff said "The events currently shaking the Arab world "were ordained from above" by a guiding hand, Israel Defense Forces Deputy Chief of Staff Yair Naveh said on Sunday."2

It's interesting that both sides see the work of the supernatural in the current events that are taking place.  The Jews and Christians have claimed the hand of God in their midst since their return to the holy land.  In January of 2010, Netanyahu even claimed speaking at Auschwitz, that the prophecies of Ezekiel 37 had been fulfilled.3  The prophet Ezekiel foretold that Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, would bring the people of Israel back to the land He promised to Abraham and his descendents, that he would bring them back together, and breath the spirit of life into them so that they become a mighty army.

Isaiah 19 seems to foretell the social unrest of Egypt, and of the harsh rulers and strong king that will rule over it.  It seems these things are taking place.  As the Middle East unrest spreads, the citizens of Muslim countries revolting against the leaders of their nations that have driven their countries into the ground, based on tyrannical, or similarily, monarchical rule.  All these despots hold to the worldview of Islam.  But indeed Islamic belief says that the Twelth Imam will not emerge until the world is in a state of chaos.



The Bible too predicts that a one-world leader, a pseudo-Christ (a.k.a. world teacher) who will finally achieve a peace treaty with Israel and the Middle East.  But the holy Bible teaches that this psuedo ruler is the equivalent of Satan's incarnation.  He will persecute the Jews he sets out to provide peace for, taking seat in their temple, proclaiming himself as God, and putting to death all who will not bow to him or take his mark (Rev. 13:17, 14:11-12).

Egypt's Crisis Unfolds

It seems that the demonstrators amassed to celebrate Mubarak's resignation, though it may not be as free a governement as the people's want.  In Is. 19:2, Yahweh states that He will incite Egyptian against Egyptian. and that they will fight one another.  We have seen this take place in fulfillment of God's word.  It goes on to say that they will be placed under the hand of cruel masters, and a strong king will rule over them (hcsb).  The military has seized control of Egypt, supposedly until elections can be set in place.  We're going to see how this plays out, and if this is indeed the sceneraio that Isiah 19 is speaking of, and I believe it is, then the Muslim Brotherhood would be a good candidate for seizing control, in fulfillment of scriptures (Is. 19:4).

But another interesting development is taking place, with Iran sending military ships down the Suez canal to gain a presence in the Meditteranean offshore of Israel.  That's not too scary.  Especially since they want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth! 


Isaiah 19 goes on to speak of the drying up of the "sea," "the streams" and "the Nile."  Could this action of an Iranian controlled military using the Suez and other water sources in Egypt be a factor in the drying up of Egypts's waterways? 

Let's pray for the inhabitants of Eygpt, and most of all, that they will receive the true deliverer, as Isaiah 19:16-25 declares.

Developments in the Middle EAst are seemingly moving towards the fulfillment of Ps. 83.

Isaiah's Pronouncment on Egypt

About five days or so ago now, I began to review some in the book of Isaiah on the passages that speak to the end of days prophecies.  Chapters 14-19 have a series of condemnations against the countries in the Middle-East surrounding and including Israel.  Many are famfiliar with hearing of the prophecy in Isaiah 17:1, which foretells the destruction of Damascus, which many feel will be fulfilled in the next major Israeli war, especially since Damascus is headquarters for a number of terrorist organizations.

But chapter 19 is particularly interesting, especially concerning recent events.  It appears as if Chapter 19 is speaking directly to Egypts current crisis.  The chapter speaks of the LORD (Yahweh) coming to Egypt, and turning brother against brother, Egyptian angainst Egyptian (Is. 19:2) and this is what we see plastered on our TV screens! 

2"So I will incite Egyptians against Egyptians;



And they will each fight against his brother and each against his neighbor,


City against city and kingdom against kingdom.


3"Then the spirit of the Egyptians will be demoralized within them;


And I will confound their strategy,


So that they will resort to idols and ghosts of the dead


And to mediums and spiritists.

According to scripture, though it go against the teachings of Islam, the people will begin turning to supernatural forces for help and guidadnce in this terrible time of turmoil.  The second half of chapter nineteen speaks of the LORD's healing of Egypt, when they turn back to Him, and worship the LORD God of Israel, along with Assyria (Syria) and Israel, and it is said they become a blessing in the land  (Is. 19:23-24).

Right now, in the news, a big concern is who is going to take over the government that Hosni Mubarak has ran for 30 years?  We know that he has just now appointed his first vice-president, and promised to appoint a new parliament, which are mostly his people anyway.  Isaiah also speaks to this, as to who will come to power.

4"Moreover, I will deliver the Egyptians into the hand of a cruel master,


And a mighty king will rule over them," declares the Lord GOD of hosts.

Now it could be argued that this mighty king and cruel master are already in power and have been for 30 years.  The Holman Chrisitan translation renders the hebrew as "harsh masters."  This could refer to the parliment that Mubarak has appointed, all the people over Egypt for the past thirty years who have run it into the ground.  But I think it makes more sense to view it as speaking sequentially here, and referring to the leader that will arise out of this situation.

America essentially appointed Mubarak, and since we give them 2 billion in aid annually, Mubarak has remained a key ally of the U.S.  If an extremist (i.e. orthodox) Muslim regime gains control, we can count this as the end of our democratic ally in Egypt, and an escalation to a Mid-East war, likely forcing Israel's hand to move more quickly in the Middle-East.
As to conditions that are going to affect the country, Isaiah goes on to predict the drying up of the Nile, and as a consequence, the end of all employment provided by the Nile and its products.  It will be interesting to watch developments in and around Egypt.  Southern Sudan recently gained the votes they needed to break off from Muslim controlled Northern Sudan, to gain their own independence.  This leaves the Northern part of Sudan without natural resources, while the Southern part has control of water and minerals.  I know that there has been contestation on how to use the waters of the Nile river.  It occurred to me that once Southern Sudan has gained independence from the North, that damming up their water sources, could effectively drain the Nile river, causing its canals to dry up and leave a stench from the ancient river bed and the death of all the animal life, as well as the death of inhabitants who live along the river and depend on its fullness to live.

5The waters from the sea will dry up,


And the river will be parched and dry.


6The canals will emit a stench,


The streams of Egypt will thin out and dry up;


The reeds and rushes will rot away.


7The bulrushes by the Nile, by the edge of the Nile


And all the sown fields by the Nile


Will become dry, be driven away, and be no more.


8And the fishermen will lament,


And all those who cast a line into the Nile will mourn,


And those who spread nets on the waters will pine away.


9Moreover, the manufacturers of linen made from combed flax


And the weavers of white cloth will be utterly dejected.


10And the pillars of Egypt will be crushed;


All the hired laborers will be grieved in soul.



11The princes of Zoan are mere fools;


The advice of Pharaoh's wisest advisers has become stupid


How can you men say to Pharaoh,


"I am a son of the wise, a son of ancient kings"?

You can hear this refrain among the people of Egypt, asking the same question.  But for the LORD, it serves a different purpose, to point to His sovereign rule over the affairs of men.

12Well then, where are your wise men?


Please let them tell you,


And let them understand what the LORD of hosts


Has purposed against Egypt.


13The princes of Zoan have acted foolishly,


The princes of Memphis are deluded;


Those who are the cornerstone of her tribes


Have led Egypt astray.


14The LORD has mixed within her a spirit of distortion;


They have led Egypt astray in all that it does,


As a drunken man staggers in his vomit.


15There will be no work for Egypt


Which its head or tail, its palm branch or bulrush, may do
 
The final half of the chapter (Is. 19:16-24) speaks of the LORD's healing of the nation of Egypt, after they have gone through this national crisis and seen once again that their gods and spirits that they pray too can not help them (Ex. 5-11). 
 
Not only are national forecasters speaking of the rising oil prices, which will effect essentially everything we do, but this can lead much qucker to the collapse of the Egyptian economy, as well as througout the Middle-East, and around the globe.  As Mubarak has not stepped down, and the people are not satisfied, I think that things will continue to get much worse until a government is set up and control is seized, and so the prophecy of Isaiah will be fulfilled. 
 
This event is very siginificant, and will most likely drastically change the way we live our lives in America, as well as lead to the collapse of the "global-economy," resulting in people crying out for a stable monetary one-world currency.  Could this be the event that finally pushes us to that point?

Commentary on the Middle East: Ready for War?

For anyone who has followed the news lately, it is apparent that the Middle East is a very volatile region.  Beyond just the Israeli-Iranian conflict, and the Palestinians, add to the mix that the citizens of these Muslim countries are incensed with their leaders, who drive their county's economies into the ground. 

Tunisia has thrown out her leader, with all the young people frustrated at the lack of jobs, and taking to the streets in protest.  Citizens of other countries identify with teh Tunisian youth, and are expressing solidarity with them, making it likely the same thing can happen in their countries, as unemployment runs high. 

The government of Lebanon has collapsed, and now an anti-western Hizbullah party wants to take control, which is pro-Iranian and backed by Syria (an extension of Iran), which also means very anti-Israel.  And as missile fortifications continue to grow in Gaza and Lebanon, being armed by Iran, Russia, etc... it seems that a mid-east war could be set off at the slightest conflagration. 

And what does that mean for us?  God's plan for Israel is mapped out in the Bible, by the prophets and apostles.  Some theologians think that Ps. 83 speaks of a war in which Israel is engaged in battle with all her neighboring countries, which, oddly enough, today are all Muslim!  The belief is that this will lead to Israel's victory, according to the Psalm, resulting in expansion of her borders, and uncontested dwellings for her rapidly increasing citizens, as Jews conitnue to pour in from around the world, which is also a fulfillment of Ezekiel 36 & 37. 

If theologians are correct, this will set the stage for the battle delineated in Ezekiel 38, famously known as the "Battle of Magog."  This battle will be championed by Rosh (it's a Roshian!), chief prince of Meshech and Tubal (Ezek. 38:3).  Many and most have historically identified this country as Russia, coming out of the far north (Ezek. 38:15), coming against Israel, a "land restored from war (Ezek. 38:8, 11-12)."  Other countries named with Russia are Persia, which is modern-day Iran, Ethiopia, Libya and Turkey are named as all being allies in this affront against the tiny nation of Israel (Ezek. 38:5-6). 

Why can't the Palestinians get some of the empty land in Syria, or in Jordan?  Come on, why pick a fight with a small people over a tiny slice of land?  Is it simply because Islam, a "religion of peace," mandates it?  By the way, George W. was paid an enormous sum of money by the Saudis to say that. 

Back to what it means to us, if war breaks out in the Middle-East, and it fits the bill for Ps. 83, this will mean indeed that the final stage is being set for God to sanctify his name through the destruction of Russia and her troops, and all that come against Israel.  Or, it could be, that this is one and the same battle as Ezekiel 38 predicts. 

It will be around this time, I believe, the Church, (the true Church) is taken to heaven, and the antichrist is revealed and emerges on the world stage with a 7 year plan for peace (2 Thess. 2:7-8).

Israel IS THE TIME-PIECE.  Watch her.  We see from the natural disasters the LORD inflicts on the earth that she is still the apple of His eye.  God promised that land to Abraham and his descendents through the line of Isaac and Jacob, who was called Israel.  If you have never trusted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, there is still a little time.  Don't wait.  No one is promised tomorrow.  God holds your life, and he can take it when He pleases. 

You need to repent of your sins (turn from them) and confess your sinfulness to God, for all have sinned and fall short of God's glory.  The results of our sins is eternal seperation from the prescence of God in the pit of eteranl hell, what the Bible calls death (Rom. 6:23), but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord, for all who confess and live for Him in truth and love (Rom 10:9-10; 1 Jn. 4:7-8).  Then read your Bible (http://www.biblegateway.com/), pray and find a Bible-believing church, where you can worship and serve!

Inheriting the Land

Isn't this a curious phrase to be in the Bible?  Is it speaking to the Jews of finally gaining the West Bank, or control of Gaza, and that entire region of the Middle East?  I think it means more.  Let's take a look.

7 Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him;

Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,

Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. 8 Cease from anger and forsake wrath;

Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing. 9 For evildoers will be cut off,

But those who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land. 10 Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more;

And you will look carefully for his place and he will not be there. 11 But the humble will inherit the land

And will delight themselves in abundant prosperity.

27 Depart from evil and do good,

So you will abide forever. 28 For the LORD loves justice

And does not forsake His godly ones;

They are preserved forever,

But the descendants of the wicked will be cut off. 29 The righteous will inherit the land

And his tongue speaks justice. 31 The law of his God is in his heart;

His steps do not slip. 32 The wicked spies upon the righteous

When the wicked are cut off, you will see it.

* One thing I love about the Hebrew word for land (aretz), it can also signify ‘earth.’ And I think that is a valid meaning in Ps. 37, as in v. 34: ‘Wait for YHWH and keep His way, and He will exalt you to inherit the earth.’ Amen! For that is how it is going to be during the Millenial reign of Messiah, and after the great judgment, the saints will dwell on the earth with YHWH, the Lord Jesus Himself, for all eternity!” (Zech 14:9; Rev. 21:1-2, 22:1-7)

On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him; 4 they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. 5 And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever.

6 And he said to me, "These words are faithful and true"; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show to His bond-servants the things which must soon take place.

7 "And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."

We can see from these passages that the LORD, Yahweh, Jesus Himself is returning to rule on earth for a thousand years, in accordance with the words of the prophets. After the thousand years are up, and the great judgment has taken place, then the New Jerusalem comes down out of heaven to the earth, and the tri-une LORD God will dwell on earth together with redeemed, perfected man forevermore.

Truly, the quickly approaching second advent of Messiah will be the dawning of a new age the world has never known or seen, in which the world will be rule by complete righteousness and holiness (Isaiah 9:7).
