Jim Staley - Identity Crisis

This teaching by Jim Staley will blow your mind if you are a protestant follower of Yeshua.  It has rocked I and my wife's world, but so much more of the Bible fits into place.

Russell Wilson: I Found God When Jesus Came To Me In A Dream At 14 « CBS Seattle

In the video, Wilson, 24, describes how he found God at the age of 14.
“I had a dream that my dad passed away and that Jesus came into the room and he was basically knocking on my door, saying, ‘Hey, you need to find out more about me,’” Wilson said. “So that Sunday morning I ended up going to church and that’s when I got saved.”

Syrian Christians Under Attack - KHouse News

As the world watches for President Obama’s next move to execute a strategic strike on Syria, little media attention has been focused on the plight of the Syrian Christians, until now. Al-Qaida backed rebels have seized control over Maaloula, a small ancient village outside of Damascus. It is one of the three locations in the world where Western Aramaic is still spoken. Scholars believe the Christians living in Maaloula provide them a linguistic bridge to the dialect spoken during the first century. Many of the Christians living in Maaloula are Antiochian Orthodox and Melkite Greek Catholics.
The village barely has 2,000 residents set in the Qalamoun Mountains, making this a strategic position for the Syrian rebels between Damascus and the other prominent city of Homs. Maaloula holds many of Sryia’s oldest monasteries and churches, including Mar Thecla that predates the Council of Nicea in 325 AD.
The attack began last Wednesday when an al-Nusra suicide bomber blew up a military checkpoint in Maaloula. This attack allowed the rebels to enter the village and take control of a mountain-top hotel and used it as their center of operations for the duration of the battle. The al-Nusra rebels posted a You Tube video stating “Soon we will withdraw from this city not out of fear but to leave its homes to their owners. They were not our target. Our target was mainly military,” according to Reuters.
Nearly 1,500 Syrian rebels surrounded the Christian village led by Jabhat al-Nusra, an al-Qaida-affiliated group, and the Qalamon Liberation Front. The latter group has been described as “Moderate Rebels” by Secretary of State John Kerry. A Maaoula resident reported rebels shouting “Allahu Akbar” attacked Christian homes and churches shortly after moving into the village on September 8th. Gunshots were fired and other eye witnesses reported three bodies lying in the middle of the street in the old quarters of the village. Many Christians have fled the village for safety. Another Maaoula resident reported Syrian rebels were forcing some Christians to convert to Islam. “I saw the militants grabbing five villagers and threatening them: ‘Either you convert to Islam or you will be beheaded,” the resident said. The Syrian Army began coordinating attacks against the Syrian rebels on Monday. The Syrian rebels released a video stating they have achieved their objective of taking an army post and will pull out of the village.
Other reports confirmed that two nuns were videotaped to assure that they were well-treated by the rebels. “They [rebels] behaved well with us and they did not harm us,” said one of the nuns at the rebels’ prompting.
Christians living near the Turkish-Syrian border were reportedly murdered earlier in August by radical German Islamists. Experts have reported an increase of German Islamists entering Syria in the past six months. Reports came from two western intelligence agencies that the number of German Muslims migrating to Syria has increased from 60 to 150 militants. The Sunni Salafist movement in Germany has prompted the Federal Republic’s interior minister Hans-Peter Friedrich to issue a warning last April against German Muslims leaving for Syria to persue jihad. German prosecutors are examining whether German Muslims can be charged with participation in a terrorist organization. A former German rapper, Denis Cuspert (a.k.a. Deso Dogg), is believed to be fighting with the al-Qaida linked al-Nusra front. The German government considers Cuspert as the lead recruiter of German Muslims. He released a video prior to his departure urging Muslims to join the jihad in Syria.
Gregorios III, the patriarch of the church of Antioch, reported that 450,000 of Syria’s two million Christians have been displaced since the start of the civil war. Over 1.2 million Syrians have since fled to Lebanon. Sunni Muslim extremists have many Syrian Christians worried that they will become the primary target since they are considered the weakest link that the rebels go after. Senator Rand Paul told NBC’s “Meet the Press” that Assad has protected Christians for decades against Sunni Muslim attacks.
According to the CIA World Factbook, 74 percent in Syria are Sunni Muslim. Assad is an Alawite, an offshoot of Shiite Islam. The Shiite and the Druze make up 16 percent of the Syrian population. Syrian Christians have every right to be worried if the current authoritative secular regime is overthrown and taken over by radical Islamists. Dozens of churches and Christian buildings were attacked by Islamic extremists in Egypt last month. Coptic Christians were the primary group targeted for revenge for supporting former president Hosni Mubarek.
Abu Zakham, a Christian bishop, was displaced from his home in the city of Homs last year along with 85,000 other Christians by extremist rebels. He claims that there is a plan to displace Christians, but does not understand why. Whether Syrian Christians will experience further persecution from rebel forces will hinge upon President Obama’s stance to follow through with a strategic attack against Assad’s regime.
The latest news released hours ago reported the Syrian government has accepted Russia’s proposal to turn over all of their chemical weapons under international control. Final plans are underway with the U.N Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. Only time will tell if Syria will follow through on their promise. Meanwhile Syrian Christians remaining in Syria are hopeful that they will be able to lead as normal a life as possible until a strike occurs from either side.

Military Warned 'Evangelicals' No. 1 Threat

Military Warned 'Evangelicals' No. 1 Threat

This report almost makes me sick!  The religion that is responsible for charity ("love") groups like Compassion International, World Vision, Mercy Ships, Goodwill, the Red Cross, and is responsible for the first hospitals, giving us public education, morphing out of Sunday School, which freed children from slave labor, and allowed them to be educated, learn, and become healthy, intelligent members and leaders in society...

This religion that teaches the greatest commandments are to love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your mind and all your strength, and to love you neighbor as yourself, is now being classified as an extremist hate group, and enemy no. 1 to the U.S. military.  Can anyone say "tyranical takeover"?  Persecution is coming to those who call the name of Jesus.  Like Jesus, many of us will be put to death, for, "they know not what they are doing."

So as believers, those who love and obey the word of God, what can we do?
1 Peter 2:12 12 aKeep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they bslander you as evildoers, they may 1because of your good deeds, as they observe them, cglorify God din the day of 2visitation.  (Ps. 11:3-7)

Dec. 21st - Will the World end?

There is much controversy concerning the end of this year, with all the media hype around the Mayan calendar. As the Aztec Press points out, it is merely the end of the long-count calendar. What is beginning is a new cyclical count on the Mayan calendar, lasting 144,000 days.1
What the Aztec press fails to tell you though, is that not only does the Mayan calendar end, but they believe that their serpent god Kulkulkan returns. The Aztecs believe their plumed serpent god (winged serpentine angel?) Queztzelcoatl returns. The Cherokee also end their calendar, and have a belief in a returning god during this time, and the earth entering into a new era, a golden age of sorts.2

This is completely believed and anticipated by the so-called 'Light-workers,' who belief New Age religion. Most in America are familiar with the song, "The Age of Aquarius," with the famous chorus, "It's the Dawning of the age of Aquarius..." first popularized in the 60s. By date, the earth will supposedly be moving into the center of the Milky Way galaxy, and moving into the constellation of Aquarius.

Also of particular note is that the Pope is in poor health, is 85 years old, and, most notably, is pope #111 according to St. Malachy's prophecy. In the prophecy, number 112 is the final pope, Petrus Romanus (Peter the Roman), who will be the false prophet, and will lead many astray. That's easy to write off as anti-Catholic bias, but the prophecy was made by a Catholic monk. The really interesting thing is that the prophecy has played out accurately, move over Nostradamus!

Just a few days ago, the pope appointed six new Cardinals to his conclave, that will choose his successor.3  It has been an interesting year for the aged man. There was a leak and a scare about an assassination attempt on his life earlier this year, but that was foiled. It appears the pope is ready to retire his post, or pass it on, because he knows something we don't.

Seemingly unrelated, all these prophecies are tied together from a Christian Biblical perspective. In Genesis, Satan, or Lucifer, is embodied in a serpent, to tempt the first humans. In the last days before Christ returns to set up his millennial reign upon earth, a man "incarnated" with the devil becomes the world ruler. He finally achieves what he offered Jesus in the wilderness of Israel (Mat. 4:8-10). Indeed, he was/is the ruler of the world (1 Jn. 5:19; Eph. 2:2; 2 Cor. 4:4), yet he could not yet have the worship of the entire world. The Bible says that in the final seven years, he will have it, or the person is executed (Rev. 13:15).

This person so widely known as the Antichrist, is to be preceded by a false prophet, who has "two horns like a lamb, but a voice like a dragon” (Rev. 13:11).  This tells us that the person, whoever he is, will appear Christian, “like a lamb,” but in reality, will speak by the Devil, “like a dragon”.

If indeed the Mayan, and Aztec, and Cherokee, and Kabbalah, and New Age, etc., etc. traditions hold true, and we are entering a post-Christian era, to be led by a Maitreya, or Mahdi, and the prophecy of St. Malachy continues to hold true, and Peter the Roman is elected, then you do not have to expect that the world will end.

If, in fact, Biblical prophecies hold true, the one-world leader will be successful in all that he undertakes, and in fact, will have a sort of miraculous healing, so that the world will be in awe and worship this man, and the being that gives him his power (Rev. 13:3).  After the chaos from the change of governments and the new laws prevail, there will be a time of peace, and even prosperity, especially for those who serve the global leader/king (Dan. 11:39).

So, after all that, the answer to the original question, “Will the world end on Dec. 21st?”  The answer is “No, it will not.”  I do believe that there are too many religions pointing to the end of 2012; the timing of the popes’ change; the war in Israel - with the state of the nations growing increasingly against Israel, and siding with a religion intent on wiping out this race; too much being fulfilled in Masonic prophecy; the rise of persecution against Christians in a land once known for her Christianity; and the rapidity of the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy.  Jesus taught that “This generation [that sees Israel regathered] will not pass away till all these things take place” (Matt. 24:34).  The LORD said, “In its time, I will do this swiftly” (Is. 60:22).

If you are scared of what’s coming upon the world, and you don’t want to be here to experience the judgements of God, or be consigned to eternal hell, simply ask God to forgive you of your rebellion against Him and His ways.  Thank Him for sending Jesus to come and die and take your sins on the cross, and ask Jesus to be the Savior and Lord of your life.  Now, read God’s word and live for Him.  It’s that easy (Rom. 10:9-10, 13).  If you know Jesus as your Savior and Lord, you have nothing to be afraid of, because all of this is in His plan.

Ugandan President Repents Of Personal, National Sins

After all her ravaging trials that has beset her, Uganda is finally turning to the One the U.S. in her "wisdom" has so tolerantly turned away from.  Uganda, may the LORD bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you, and give you shalom!  Amen.

Scientific Enlightenment or The Depravment?

The Bible indicates that in the last days, there is going to be spiritual warfare like no other, demons manifesting, and nephilim again upon the earth, as it was in the days of Noah (Mt. 24:37). So why are so many leaving the church, and forsaking it for the ways of the world? Well, aside from 1 Jn. 2:18, many don't see the 'supposed' power of the gospel! We (the majority in SBC circles) don't see healings, life transformations, devoted followers etc. What did we gain from the "Enlightenment"? Scientific study has rended useful in adding to human knowledge the workings of the world around us, and most of history's most famous scientists and artists, who made some of the greatest world impact, were Christians. But since the spreading teaching of Naturalism, which is forced upon the American public (and yes, they force it on your children in public (read: government schools, and university), we have lost belief in the Bible as God's error-fre...
e, completely true Word! How's that for being Enlightened. As the falling culture is working this principle out, in truth it should be called "The Depravement".

Let us repent of bowing ourselves to the gods of this world, to Mother Nature, to Evolution and 'random processes' and the god of Mammon! Let us be people of the Book, who believe what the Book teaches, and live in faith on the claims that it makes!

Matthew 10:7-8 7 "And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' 8 "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

Mark 16:16-18 16 "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. 17 "These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

Christians, let us be obedient to the gospel, for the glory of our God. Time is short, let us not delay! 2 Peter 3:11-13 11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! 13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.

Is a Mormon Christian?... What is the Gospel?

Our country is in a theological muddle.  Lately, as I'm sure you've seen, we've got many public leaders, including those who call the name, "Evangelical" that Mormons are Christian, and many groups and many people claim to be Christian.  How can one determine whether these people or groups are truly Christian?  Don't they believe in Jesus too?  One famous Mormon claims to have been "born again" when Jesus became his Lord and Savior.  It sounds very Christian.

To determine whether some one or group is Christian, we must go to the original source that defines what being a Christian is.  That is the holy Bible.  Jesus taught his followers, "I am the way, the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father, except through Me"  (Jn 14:6).  The doctor Luke tells us in Acts, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, "And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

And in fact, Mormons, and other groups I'm sure, will confess this truth also.  So what sets apart the orthodox, Evangelical Christian?  This is where we examine the presuppositional ideas and understanding of the parties in question.

First off, what does the Bible teach?  Now the answer to this question could make up a semester long seminary course.  Clearly, there is not space for this, so we will narrow the question to the most important figure, and conerstone of the Christian faith: Jesus of Nazareth (Mt. 2:23).  Jesus, the Bible teaches, is the only begotten Son of the Living God (Jn. 3:16, 20:31; 1 Cor. 1:9; 1 Jn. 1:3), that he is equal, co-eternal with God the Father. (Rom 1:3-4; Rev 1:7-8, 22:13), and that He was born of the Holy Spirit (Is. 7:14; Lk. 1:35).  Jesus Christ, through his death and suffering of crucifixion on the cross, would be the propitiation (atoning sacrifice) of our sins, and provide justification for the many (Ps. 22:16; Is. 53:5-11; Jn. 1:29; Mt. 26:2; Jn. 13:1).  The scriptures teach, as cited above, that salvation is through faith only in his name, by grace (Eph. 2:8,9; Jn. 14:6; Acts 4:12).  After the sending of the Holy Spirit, at the Jewish feast of Pentecost (instituted in Lev. 23), who inspired the apostles in the writing of the New Testament, the Bible teaches revelation was sealed, finito (Heb. 1:2).

The Mormon faith teaches that Jesus is the spiritual firstborn son of God, and spirit brother to every other human and angel (including Satan/Lucifer).  Since Mormons do not believe in the Trinity as claimed by the Biblical faith, Mormonism teaches that God the Father came down and had sex with the virgin Mary to impregnate her with Jesus.  It teaches that life on earth is a school or test, if you will, for the spirit children of God to attain to their own state of god-hood.  Yes, the goal of Mormons is to be god, of their own planet with their own spirit children (born of their goddess wife/wives).  "As man is, God once was. As God is, man can become." http://www.leaderu.com/orgs/probe/docs/mormon1.html

Mormons believe do not hold that revelation was closed with the person of Jesus Christ.  They believe in a progressive revelation, as do the New Apostolic Reformation, of which Gov. Perry joined with in organizing and facilitating The Response fasting and prayer rally.  And Mormons, as the NAR prophets and pastors, believe in the mandate of "taking back" America in the name of their religion. http://www.wbur.org/npr/140946482/apostolic-leader-weighs-religions-role-in-politics

The Mormons have a "white horse" prophecy of the nation being rescued by a Mormon coming to office as president and restoring the nation, with all the people apologizing and giving gratitude to the Mormons for rescuing the nation, and restoring us to our "divinely-inspired" US Consitution.  The Bible teaches that the world will come under the control of a one-world leader, a one-world government (Dan. 7:23) which will be under his control for seven years (Dan. 9:27), but then the Messiah will return to set up his rightful rule, for one thousand years (Zech 14:9), before Satan is let loose again to deceive the nations (Rev. 20:7,8).  Then the world will be destroyed by fire (2 Ptr. 3:7) and the great judgment, and then all things will be made new.  After this, the redeemed, those who were born-again will live upon earth with God and serve the LORD and live in a paradise forevermore (Rev. 21:1, 5).

The holy Bible teaches that salvation is "by grace, through faith, and that not of yourselves.  It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast" (Eph 2:8,9).  The Mormon book of 2 Nephi states "for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do."  2 Nephi 25:23 http://www.mrm.org/2-nephi-25-23It sounds very close to what the Bible teaches, but adds a almost subtle difference, "after all we can do."  That changes the whole game and puts Mormonism into the category of salvation-by-works, like every other world religion except for Christianity, which states, "it is the gift of God, not of works, lest no man should boast."

One well known so-called evangelical (or wolf in sheep's clothing) leader recently said that Mitt Romney is an "outstanding Christian."  Really?  Doesn't that fly in the face of what the Bible says of the elect?  How could an "outstanding" evangelical leader make such an error?  The apostle Paul, former murderer and persecutor of the church, wrote: "But even if we, or an angel from heaven, were to preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, let him be anathema (eternally accursed)" Gal. 1:8.

Clearly Joseph Smith didn't have this verse in mind when the angel of light (2 Cor. 11:14) appeared to him and taught him the "true" gospel.

Looking to the Stars?

During this time of great socio-economic upheaval, natural disasters, comets threatening the world, end-time prophecies culminating around us, are you looking to the Stars to know your fate?  Certainly something is there, as most ancient cultures around the world looked to the stars for guidance.

But shouldn't we be concerned we get our story straight as to the true meaning of the stars?  What if the modern meaning of the zodiac is not the original meaning?  Gary Stearman reports on the original meaning of the stars and constellations, which also happened to be referred to in the oldest book of the Bible, Job, which was written pre-Genesis.

To read what the original meaning to the stars is, visit http://www.prophecyinthenews.com/lesson-13-the-gospel-in-the-stars-part-1/.  It might reveal to you what is about to happen.
