The Goal (End) of the Faith - Part Two

In Part One, we looked at a letter from a Rabbi to his son in the Faith.  Rabbi Shaul, known to most as the Apsotle Paul.  In this excerpt of his letter to Timothy, I translated the term "law" which is being carried over from the Hebrew concept, as "Torah" or, "instruction." When hermeneutics are applied consistently, we can see more clearly.

In this first part, we see that Rabbi Shaul tells Timothy: "1 Timothy 1:5  the goal of our torah is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith."  Some of you who read this may think we are heading in a direction of legalism, or something akin to that of the Judaizers.  On the contrary, the Rabbi precedes this verse in the letter to Timothy with the aspiration:

1 Timothy 1:4  4" nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than furthering the administration of God which is by faith"  Note, the Apostle puts torah, and faith together in the same sentence, whereas modern churches teach they are opposite and antithetical!

But where does Rabbi Shaul get this expectation, or this doctrine, that this instruction (torah) has as its goal a "good (ie, clean/pure) conscience and a sincere faith?"  It is the teaching and testimony of the First Covenant, and Yhwh's redemptive promises to Israel, the sons of Jacob.

One place we see this clearly is by the prophet Zechariah.  Yeshua taught, "I did not come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets...."  In chapters 12-14, Zechariah prophesied on the coming battle of Armageddon, and the salvation of all (yes, twelve tribes) of Israel.  In chapter 14, we see Yeshua Messiah's victory:

Zechariah 14:9  9 And the LORD (Yahweh) will be king over all the earth; in that day the LORD (Yahweh) will be the only one, and His name the only one.

And then a few verses down, we see the state of affairs in the Messianic kingdom, also know as the kingdom of God.

Zechariah 14:16  16 Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD (Yahweh) of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths (Sukkot).

Most churches teach in their theology that Yeshua, or Jesus came to set us free from the Law.  Never mind that John tells us that "everyone who practices sin practices lawlessness.  Sin is law-lessness (1 Jn. 3:4)."  Protestant believers have been separated from the worldview of the Hebrew authors of the Bible, almost from the second century.

The fact is, the Bible clearly defines the righteousness of Yahweh with his commands (Ps. 119:150), His Torah (instruction - Ps. 119:142).  During His life Yeshua lived a life of perfect righteousness, keeping Yahweh's Torah perfectly.

Does it then make sense that once Yahweh delivers sinners from the punishment and verdict of their sin, that he will allow and encourage them to live in law-lessness (unrighteousness)?  Yet this is the approach that many who claim to follow Messiah take.  But scripture tells us that "he who claims to live in him (Messiah Yeshua) must walk as he walked" (1 Jn. 2:6).  The apostle Paul asks, " What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2 May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?" (Rom. 6:1,2).

Clearly, we see that the Messiah Yeshua reigns from His temple in the Millenial Kingdom, over the restored Israel, and the surving remnant of mankind, who will then repopulate the earth during this 1,000 year period.  As Yahweh Elohim told us, "He is the same yesterday, today and forever."  His standard of righteousness never changed.  In fact His Son, Yeshua, His Word/Torah made flesh will reign over His people, till He hands over all things to Yahweh Abba, the Father.

Hanukkah, it's Significance for Believers Today

The next holiday coming up on the Hebrew calendar, celebrating Yah's prophetic events, is Hanukkah.  This feast is not commanded in scripture, yet it is important in the life of those who love the Saviour.  Also know as the feast of Dedication, it was celebrated yearly by Yeshua (Jn. 10:22-23).

The Prophecy of Avram's Birth

Many of us know of Father Abraham, from whom is descended Ishmael and Isaac, and the line that comes from him, known as the Biblical patriarchs.  But most of us don't know of the early life of Abram, other than his lineage described in Genesis, because Gentile believers were separated from the Hebraic roots of their faith by an baptized pagan emperor, who syncritized the faith with pagan worship, that has entrenched the faithful.  But knowing this prophecy of Abram's Birth puts the modern prophetic circumstances into a greater Biblical context.

And when all the wise men and conjurors went out from the house of Terah, they lifted up their eyes toward heaven that night to look at the stars, and they saw, and behold one very large star came from the east and ran in the heavens, and he swallowed up the four stars from the four sides of the heavens.

For Those in the Know...

Hey everyone.  Because of the birth of our new daughter, I have not been able to get to the computer as much, so rightnow I just want to do a quick catch up.


The fulfillment of Bible Prophecy continues maddeningly fast through this year as we move along.  There are many things happening, and for those in the know, we know the time is not long.  America is being devastated by storms as our administration is turning against Israel, and working to give their God-designated land to the Muslims.  Let's say it like it is.  And God promised in His word, "I will curse those who curse you, and I will bless those who bless you"  Gen. 12:3.


The Jesuit Pope has called for ecumenical unity among all the "Christian" churches.  Now what would a Jesuit Pope want with a thing like Ecumenical unity?  Hmmm???  Oh yeah!  The Jesuits were formed to exterminate the Protestant faith!  Could it be that he will succeed?  I don't think so, though I believe that many will/are/have been deceived by this False Prophet in sheeps (Lamb's) clothing.


Recently a movie or TV series came out, with the theme that the Wild Animals are taking the earth back, taking it away from the humans.  That is the teaching of Evolution.  It is the teaching of this New World Order, of the World, and is the anti-God forces of this world.  How do I know this?


In Scripture, God tells us that when a country who has been in covenant relation with Him, rebels against Him, turns against Him in hostility, then He, the Almighty Himself, will send wild animals against the inhabitants of the land.




²¹ “‘And if you go against me in hostility and you are not willing to listen to me, then^[ae] I will add a plague onto you seven times according to your sins. ²² And I will send wild animals^[af] out among you, and they shall make you childless, and they shall cut down your domestic animals, and they shall make you fewer; and your roads shall be desolate.
²³ “‘And if you do not accept correction from^[ag] me through these things, but^[ah] you go against me in hostility, ²⁴ then^[ai] I myself^[aj] will also go against you in hostility, and I myself^[ak] also will strike you seven times for your sins. ²⁵ And I will bring upon you a sword that seeks vengeance for the covenant, and you shall be gathered to your cities; and I will send a plague in your midst, and you shall be given into the hand of an enemy. As our country continues to turn away from its Creator and God, and increasingly embraces wickedness and turns against Israel, things will continue to get worse.  In fact, the LORD said to me in regard to America:


⁸ Look, the eyes of my Lord Yahweh are on the kingdom of sin, and I will destroy it from the surface of the earth. However, I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,” declares^[c] Yahweh.  (Amos 9:8). 


Your time is running out America.  Your sins have almost reached their full limit.  Your days are numbered.  Tekel Tekel Mene Parsin.


If you have not done so, turn from your life of sin, and cry to God for forgiveness, and trust Yeshua the Messiah for the forgiveness of your sins, and for everlasting life in the kingdom of God.  Don't fall for the lies of the Deceiver.

So what about the Shemittah year predictions from Jonathan Cahn? Well, so be it, but we ask in response, does the fact that Blood Moons and Shemittah are coinciding on the very same year mean for sure that the impact of these events must be exactly the same? And is God so one-dimensional that he is all about judgment all the time? Hello! Redemption anyone?

The Shemittah work by Jonathan Cahn is quite good, and likely signals some level of judgment. But it seems to us that the Blood Moons and a Solar Eclipse at the North Pole are a very different phenomena. One could easily imagine there could be two very different storylines happening simultaneously.

If the Shemittah is about judgment, then why can’t the simultaneously occurring Blood Moons be about redemption! The God I have fallen in love with is the One who lives to bring us all to redemption much more than he desires to bring us all to the judgment we deserve! “For with the LORD there is lovingkindness, And with Him is abundant redemption.” [emphasis mine]

My beliefs in the redemptive nature of the Blood Moons are detailed partially in lessons 4, and then in lesson 5 and 6 of the free Blood Moons series I recorded for Root Source in the last few weeks. I say ‘detailed partially’ because my first goal is not to convince anyone of what I believe, but rather give viewers the tools to make up their own minds about all the theories. I’d rather you learn to ask really good questions, even of my views, than to simply accept my views!

Now what about the call to prayer? Mark Biltz and I, while having somewhat different views of the meaning of the Blood Moons, agree in principle that God loves Israel and will care for her. As such I am honored to join with him in his call to prayer for the peace of Jerusalem on Saturday April 4th, at 11:58AM GMT, 7:58AM Eastern, 6:58AM Central, 4:58AM Pacific, to pray for 4 minutes and 44 seconds while the moon is totally engulfed in the earth’s shadow.

This is not only the world’s shortest blood moon in history; it is the world’s shortest Passover eclipse in history too!

Praying Psalms 122 for the peace of Jerusalem, as we are exhorted to do by King David himself, is a biblical, unifying prayer that all Christians and Jews can pray.

But why are we taking such a not-so-dire approach to this lunar eclipse, when the Jewish sages have said that lunar eclipses are a bad omen for Israel? Because they also give a concluding remark in that very same paragraph of tractate 29a, that is overlooked by everyone it seems:

“But when Israel fulfills the will of the Omnipresent, they need have no fear of all these [omens] as it is said, “Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the nations, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven, for the nations are dismayed at them, the idolaters will be dismayed, but Israel will not be dismayed.”

So dear Christian friend, please consider whether you believe Israel is, overall, in the will of God right now? If you say yes, then perhaps God is telling us that they will be quite safe in His hands! But believing even that does not mean that there is no reason for prayer! Indeed we should all join in with King David and pray for the peace of Jerusalem this Saturday morning at a local time that you can find right here.

When there is peace in Jerusalem, there will be an increased measure of peace in the world. Therefore, this prayer is a prayer for the ‘world’. In fact, given that this prayer was authored in the heart of God, before it was authored by Kind David, we can even say that it is in fact ‘universal’ in nature.

A cynical mainstream media may even make fun of us for praying for the peace of Jerusalem during a less-than-five-minutes lunar eclipse. But, some of us really do believe that any time spent praying for the peace in Jerusalem is time well-spent. Those who might demean this action will suffer in return no ill will from me, nor, I hope, “from us”, yet they should be wary of standing in any way against the welfare of Israel, or they might find themselves in opposition to someone much more powerful – and I don’t mean even the mighty, ancient King David, but the Almighty Ancient of Days.

Dateline Israel : Signs in the Heavens of a Four Blood Moon Tetrad in 20...

Time to revisit this issue since the date for the next blood moon, and the feast of Sukkot approaches for Oct. 8, 2014.  God created the stars in the heavens for signs and seasons and days and years (Gen. 1:14).

Was Jesus Forsaken? A Study on Psalm 22

The common view of Christians, at least in America is that when Jesus was on the cross, God the Father turned His back on the Son, when the sins of the world were applied to Him, and that is why the whole world grew dark.  Well the LORD showed me something that will challenge that conventional belief.

So when Jesus was hanging upon the cross, he cried out, "My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me? (Ps. 22:1)"  Most Chrisitans assume that the Father turned His back on Jesus because He could not bear to look upon all the sins of the world being laid upon His only begotten Son.  It's sweet sentiment, but is it Biblical?  Where do we see in the scriptures that the Father turned away from the Son, and stopping His gaze from being upon Him?  We don't.  It's not in there!

What Jesus was doing when He cried out the first verse of Psalm 22, is that as a good Rabbi, He was calling the attention of His students, His disciples, to Psalm 22, which the Jews of that era knew was a Messianic Psalter.  If we continue to go through this Psalm, not only does it foretell precisely what happened to Jesus as He was crucified, with the nails through His hands and feet (Ps. 22:16), to His physical appearance (v. 17), the centurions gambling for his clothes, the Psalm goes on to tell us more.

Verse 22 the Psalm shifts to the subject person of the Psalm moving to praise God, and tell of His great name.  But verse 24 tells us: "For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from him; But when he cried to Him for help, He heard."

As I was reading this Psalm, thinking that the Psalm is a prophecy about Jesus, I identified "the afflicted" with Jesus.  He is the subject of this Psalm, and to shift the meaning from the Messiah, to the world, or  to the poor, is to wrongfully interpret the meaning of the Psalm.

But verse 24 tells us that God "has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, nor has He hidden His face from him"!  We always say "When Jesus was on the cross, God turned His back on Him."  But that's not in there!  That's not Biblical!  Psalm 22:24 says that God indeed DID NOT turn His back on Yeshua!

So why did Yeshua cry out, "My God My God, why have You forsaken Me?"  We know that when the disciples or others addressed Jesus, they referred to him as Rabbi, but sometimes we lose sight of the fact that this is indeed what and who Jesus of Nazareth is.  He is the Rabbi of all rabbis!  He IS the living Word of God, that became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14).  We also need to remember that the chapter and verse numerical arrangement is a historically recent thing, and did not exist in the time of Jesus and the Jewish Tanakh (their Bible).  So whenever a Rabbi wanted to tell others about a certain passage of scripture, he would call out the first verse of that section.

Rabbi Yeshua  was calling people to turn to Psalm 22, which was all about Him, and prophesied of the very event they had all just witnessed, from the times of King David, circa 3,000 B.C.  

So why did the skies grow dark while Jesus was on the cross?  What does the Bible have to say about dark clouds?  For what reason do they appear?  

2 Samuel 22:12   "And He made darkness canopies around Him, A mass of waters, thick clouds of the sky. 

and

Psalm 97:1-2  The LORD reigns, let the earth rejoice; Let the many islands be glad.  2 Clouds and thick darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. 

So why did the sky become Dark when Yeshua was upon the cross as a propitiation for our sins (Rom.3:25)?  From what scripture declares, that the LORD surrounds Himself with clouds and thick darkness, it seems that the Father was not far away, turning His back in grief and disgust at the sin, but He was RIGHT THERE, Enthroned on the first row, carefully and lovingly watching over His Son who willingly laid down His life (John 10:18).

IS ISON DEBRIS HITTING EARTH?

BPEarthwatch has a great analysis of ISON and the possible coming meteor impact(s).  I believe that something is going to happen and quite soon.  If a meteor shower were to come down on the N. Atlantic, and especially hitting some cities, the effects will be devastating, and could possibly set off the economic collapse.  But certainly, the physical damage in cities and from Tsunamis would be horrendous!

In the video, BP suggests that his could possibly be a fulfillment of Rev. 18, where the mighty angel throws a great stone into the water, and says, "So will Babylon, the great city, be thrown down, with violence, and will not be found any longer" (Rev. 18:21).

Another thing I find persuasive is that there was a prophecy given by St. Hildegard.  Scripture tells us to not despise prophetic utterances (1 Thess. 5:20).  In this vision, she tells:

Before the comet comes [Nibiru aka Planet X?], many nations, will be scourged by want and famine. The great nation in the ocean [USA?] that is inhabited by people of different tribes and descent will be devastated by earthquakes, storms and tidal waves. It will be divided [New Madrid Fault?] and, in great part, submerged. The comet will by its tremendous pressure force much of the ocean and flood many countries, causing much want and many plagues. All coastal cities will live in fear, and many of them will be destroyed by tidal waves, and most living creatures will be killed, and even those who escape will die from horrible diseases. For in none of those cities does a person live according to the Laws of God.” 

As more and more people are coming to believe that America is the Babylon of Apocalyptic literature, Hildegard's prophecy seems to fit with all that's happening. Will it come to pass? As it's said, "Time will tell." Indeed. Whose side are you on? Where will you go when you die? If you want to make sure that you are with the LORD and in heaven, turn to God for the forgiveness of your sins, and surrender the Lordship (ie control) of your life to Jesus, and ask him to come in and save you. God knows your heart (Rom. 10:9,10).

I'm not sure what to make of ISON yet, but to be sure, it's being used to usher in the one-world government prophesied in the books of Daniel and Revelation, to bring out the kingdom of the man of Satan, and his rule over planet earth, and the destruction/perversion and death of its inhabitants.  Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 Jn. 3:8).  Through his substitutionary death on the cross, you can have your sins forgiven, washed away by the blood of the Lamb of God (John 3:16-18; Romans 3:25; 1 Jn. 4:10).

Pacific Rim Shakin' - 10/14/2013

Thanks to suspicious observers, and his pointing out the new RSOE EDIS page, I was checking it out, and it appears that there are some quakes going on around the Pacific Rim, with a Magnitude 5 in Fiji, a 4.6 closer to home in Nicaragua, and two more further north on the Californiana coast.  The magnitudes aren't shown yet, but one is in Baja, California, and the other in Greenfield, just below Santa Cruz.

There is quite a bit of rumbling going on in California, and through Nevada, but the two with red rings emanating from them are near Reno, NV and Santa Cruz.  Is this a precursor to the MEGA-QUAKE predicted to hit off the coast of San Fran?  Only time is going to tell.

Many people have been receiving revelations that Quakes and Tsunamis are coming!  Is this from a God who wants to scare and judge and condemn people to hell?  No!  The reason the LORD tells about what is happening in the last times before His return, is BECAUSE, He is inviting you to receive salvation.  All one  must do is recognize their sin for what it is,and repent (turn from it) to God!  Ask Jesus into your heart to be your Lord and Savior, to save you from yourself, your sin and the torments of eternal damnation!

Jeremiah 33:3   3 'Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.' 

Romans 10:9-10   9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;  10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 

God has glorious things in store for those who trust Him!  

3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near. Revelation 1:3   

Revelation 21:3-5   3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them,  4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."  5 And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." And He said, "Write, for these words are faithful and true."

Coming Quakes to Rattle the U.S. - Is There a Fear of Yahweh?

Normally I wouldn't spend time "wasting" on posting about dreams and visions, and would leave well enough alone!  I am and have been raised Southern Baptist and we think the only ones good enough for spiritual gifts were the apostles, and it pretty much stopped there.  And that's the prevailing view, because we don't see these things being experienced around us... and part of the problem of that is Cultural Christianity, meaning that people think they are secured into heaven, because at one time they asked Jesus into their lives, and had an emotional experience.

Guess what!  That doesn't mean you were saved.  Humans are capable of having great spiritual experiences, without ever having been saved in truth.  Otherwise, what is the writer of the Hebrews speaking of: 

Hebrews 6:4-6   4 For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit,  5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,  6 and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame. 

No.  Jesus taught that one cannot see the kingdom of God, unless he is born again.  That's right, into a new creation (2 Cor. 5:17).  Your passions, desires and motivations have all changed to be no longer about you, and justifying the sin you once loved, but about the Yahweh, and His Word and Truth (Jn. 1:1,2)!

All this to say... I was once skeptical to these things, until the LORD, in His sovereign mercy, revealed them to me.  And some of it was through my wife.  That deals with a vision He gave her concerning the rapture, but that's another post!  There are multiple witnesses that have been receiving visions of quakes coming to destroy the land of California!  here and here and here and here and here.

The LORD said every matter must be established by two or three witnesses (Dt. 19:15).  When multiple witnesses speak out concerning something... you know something is up!  And I wrote about how the LORD also told me that His eyes were on the sinful nation, to destroy it from the earth (Amos 9:8), though I was given no specifics, as to timing, or locations or dates or anything.  But He also told me that about the same time persecutions would be ramping up, that is, quickly escalating... (Mt. 24:9).

Matthew 24:7-9   7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes.  8 "But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.  9 "Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. 

But fear not!  Our God is a God... or better (let me speak Hebrew), our Elohim is a Elohim of mercy, compassion and forgiveness!  

Isaiah 57:15  15 For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, "I dwell on a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.

James 4:8   8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

1 John 1:9   9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

It sounds crazy, but God is moving, and He is giving His servants dreams and visions to warn others (Amos 3:7; Joel 2:28)!

Meeting on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly on Friday, top diplomats from the United Nations, United States, Russia and the European Union said in a statement that both sides should take "every possible step" to make ongoing U.S.-mediated negotiations a success. The quartet also called on the parties to refrain from any action that would undermine trust or prejudge the outcome of the talks.

This call for seriousness in talks would almost be laughable if it were not so sad.  The religion of Islam calls for the annihilation of the Jewish people!  This whole thing is nothing but a sham to forestall in the supposed hope of provoking the Jews to war, and then wiping them out.

But the Bible declares that this will not happen.  Israel is going to be victorious.  If the world would learn to listen to the natural disasters that God is sending to all those who oppose Israel, and try to take away her land, they might bring prosperity to their nations.  But alas, the LORD told us that in the last days all the Gentiles would oppose Israel, that Jerusalem would be a heavy rock for all the peoples, and all who lift it will be severely damaged!" (Zech. 12:3).
