Blood Moon: Mainstream Media and a Call to Prayer - Israel News

Blood Moon: Mainstream Media and a Call to Prayer - Israel News

In this article, Bob O'dell, co-founder of Root Source, offers a refreshing and optimistic insight on the Blood Moon Phenomenon.

I've posted some clips of his article below.  The full article can be read by clicking the link above.

So what about the Shemittah year predictions from Jonathan Cahn? Well, so be it, but we ask in response, does the fact that Blood Moons and Shemittah are coinciding on the very same year mean for sure that the impact of these events must be exactly the same? And is God so one-dimensional that he is all about judgment all the time? Hello! Redemption anyone?
The Shemittah work by Jonathan Cahn is quite good, and likely signals some level of judgment. But it seems to us that the Blood Moons and a Solar Eclipse at the North Pole are a very different phenomena. One could easily imagine there could be two very different storylines happening simultaneously.
If the Shemittah is about judgment, then why can’t the simultaneously occurring Blood Moons be about redemption! The God I have fallen in love with is the One who lives to bring us all to redemption much more than he desires to bring us all to the judgment we deserve! “For with the LORD there is lovingkindness, And with Him is abundant redemption.” [emphasis mine]
My beliefs in the redemptive nature of the Blood Moons are detailed partially in lessons 4, and then in lesson 5 and 6 of the free Blood Moons series I recorded for Root Source in the last few weeks. I say ‘detailed partially’ because my first goal is not to convince anyone of what I believe, but rather give viewers the tools to make up their own minds about all the theories. I’d rather you learn to ask really good questions, even of my views, than to simply accept my views!

blood moonNow what about the call to prayer? Mark Biltz and I, while having somewhat different views of the meaning of the Blood Moons, agree in principle that God loves Israel and will care for her. As such I am honored to join with him in his call to prayer for the peace of Jerusalem on Saturday April 4th, at 11:58AM GMT, 7:58AM Eastern, 6:58AM Central, 4:58AM Pacific, to pray for 4 minutes and 44 seconds while the moon is totally engulfed in the earth’s shadow.

This is not only the world’s shortest blood moon in history; it is the world’s shortest Passover eclipse in history too!
Praying Psalms 122 for the peace of Jerusalem, as we are exhorted to do by King David himself, is a biblical, unifying prayer that all Christians and Jews can pray.
But why are we taking such a not-so-dire approach to this lunar eclipse, when the Jewish sages have said that lunar eclipses are a bad omen for Israel? Because they also give a concluding remark in that very same paragraph of tractate 29a, that is overlooked by everyone it seems:
“But when Israel fulfills the will of the Omnipresent, they need have no fear of all these [omens] as it is said, “Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the nations, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven, for the nations are dismayed at them, the idolaters will be dismayed, but Israel will not be dismayed.”
So dear Christian friend, please consider whether you believe Israel is, overall, in the will of God right now? If you say yes, then perhaps God is telling us that they will be quite safe in His hands! But believing even that does not mean that there is no reason for prayer! Indeed we should all join in with King David and pray for the peace of Jerusalem this Saturday morning at a local time that you can find right here.
When there is peace in Jerusalem, there will be an increased measure of peace in the world. Therefore, this prayer is a prayer for the ‘world’. In fact, given that this prayer was authored in the heart of God, before it was authored by Kind David, we can even say that it is in fact ‘universal’ in nature.
A cynical mainstream media may even make fun of us for praying for the peace of Jerusalem during a less-than-five-minutes lunar eclipse. But, some of us really do believe that any time spent praying for the peace in Jerusalem is time well-spent. Those who might demean this action will suffer in return no ill will from me, nor, I hope, “from us”, yet they should be wary of standing in any way against the welfare of Israel, or they might find themselves in opposition to someone much more powerful – and I don’t mean even the mighty, ancient King David, but the Almighty Ancient of Days.

PM Netanyahu We Are a Family!

Does Netanyahu understand something most Americans don't?  Does he understand that many Americans are descendants of the Northern Israelite tribes that were dispersed around 722-721 B.C.E., which later immigrated up into the Steppe-lands of Russia, and into Europe through the Caucausus mountain range as the Cimmerians, and the Scythians (respectively)?  We are family!  We are brothers!  :-D

An Recent Encouraging Biblical insight on Romans 11:36

Recently, at our church, the pastor has been giving us scripture verses for the congregation to memorize.  A couple of weeks ago he gave us the verse from Romans 11:36:

36 For from him and through him and to him are all things.
To him be glory for eternity! Amen.

One day I was meditating (i.e. actively thinking, pondering) on this verse, and I had an insight, i think is from the Yhwh. It should encourage you through your trials, especially in the New Age of trials and tribulations that we are quickly coming into.

I was considering how the I AM is completely sovereign over provision for our need(s) in time of crisis and need... and then it occurred to me, He is also sovereign over our time and level of need.  For FROM Him and TO Him and THROUGH Him are all things!

So not only is He completely sovereign over all the supply of our need, according to His rickes in Yeshua haMashiach (Phil 4:19), but He is also completely sovereign over when and how much IS our need!

Therefore, after his marvelous conclusion in chapter 11, Rabbi Paul goes on to tell us what our response should be in light of such great truths!:

Therefore I exhort you, brothers, through the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, so that you may approve whatis the good and well-pleasing and perfect will of God.

O saints, put your trust in Him!  Amen.

For God so Loved the World, but He hates the Wicked???

I love having people over at the house and getting into theological discussions!  It gets me torqued up, and I have to have a release, haha, so here goes.

Really we touched on so many topics... but something that's been in the back of my mind for quiet a while spurs from conversations with my (earthly) father, who like most Christians in America, hold to Arminian theology.

One verse that is frequently cited by the Arminian is John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."  At first look, it seems quite the clencher!  I think the problem largely results from the paucity of the English language as compared to the richness of Hebrew or Greek, and an equivocation of our term "love."

When we say "For God so loved..." we instantly think warm mushy feelings, the kind we feel when we fall in love with someone.  This is actually not the type of love the apostle John is describing.  The Greek term for that form of love is eros, from which we get our term erotic, used of a romantic love between two people.

The type of love that John is referring to is Agape.  This is the unconditional, unfailing faithful love that only God Himself can hold in perfection.  This type of love is described in 1 Corinthians 13, which is known as the "Love Chapter."

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; [b]bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never fails.  (www.biblegateway.com)

Being in college during the early 90s, I listened alot to DC Talk. One of their songs was "Love is a Verb," which totally sums up the chapter. Nowhere in 1 Cor. 13 does it say that love is a warm, mush feeling. It is described as a verb!

Now reading John 3:16 with a Biblical definition of "love," we can now reconcile this verse with the harder, more difficult verses like Proverbs 16:4, which says, "The LORD has made everything for its own purpose, Even the wicked for the day of evil" (NASB). Or when the Apostle Paul quotes from the Septuagint, "Just as it is written, 'JACOB I LOVED, BUT ESAU I HATED.'"

And I love how Paul anticipates the objectors: "What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be! For He says to Moses "I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOM I HAVE COMPASSION." So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "FOR THIS VERY PURPOSE I RAISED YOU UP, TO DEMONSTRATE MY POWER IN YOU, AND THAT MY NAME MIGHT BE PROCLAIMED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE EARTH. So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires" (Rom. 9:13-18).

In the Bible, the Sovereignty of God is never in question. Numerous other scriptures could be cited, but a timely topic is Yhwh's judgment on Babylon, the great city that reigns over the kings of the earth (Rev. 17:18), i.e. New York, ergo the U.S.!

16 And the ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh and will burn her up with fire. 17 For God has put it in their hearts to execute His [a]purpose [b]by having a common purpose, and by giving their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God will be fulfilled.  (www.biblegateway.com, emphasis mine)

Why did the ten regions of the One-World government give their power to the Antichrist (Madhi/Messiah/Maitreya, etc.)? Because it was God's will for them to do so. And he will reign on earth for 7 years, or 3 1/2, depending on how you see it (Dan. 9:27; 2 Thess. 2:4).

So what is the end of the matter, when it comes to understanding God's sovereignty over creation? Romans 9-11 is a great place to start for study of such a weighty issue, but I think it is summed up in

Psalm 115:3 But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases.

*updated: Christmas Sunday Revelations - 2014

When I first wrote this, I, for lack of time, didn't include my wife's revelation.  The updated material is in the third and fourth paragraphs.  :-)
***

Two weeks ago, my family and I were sitting in the Sunday service, in the rear of the sanctuary, as we got there late!  It was the Sunday before Christmas.  The pastor had brought a good sermon, with the emphasis upon the Messiah-child, as it should be.  At the end of the sermon during the invitation, we were all standing in the sanctuary, and my wife and I were worshipping as the invitation song was being played.

All of a sudden, the LORD came upon me and gave me a realization, "He's coming!  And most of these (people) will perish!  As the realization hit me, I was almost knocked down.  I was greatly angered, yet greatly sorrowed at the same time, and started crying.  I was reeling from the shock of the realization!

I noticed my wife also started crying during worship at about the same time.  I thought (in my typical man-centeredness) that it was because she was touched that I looked so upset.  Turns out, the LORD had given her a vision.  We had been studying on and learning all about the pagan origins of Christ-mass.  In the back of the church sanctuary, we could view all the Christ-mass ornamentations.

The vision the Lord gave my wife was of pagans worshipping and offering sacrifice on an altar, then, after the pagans finished, the Christians came up up and offered on the same altar!  And this is what the LORD said it was like to Him!  Christians, who follow (or claim to) Messiah, joining themselves to pagan altars, giving worship to Satan and Nimrod in the holy place.  God is greatly grieved!  'Come out of her and be seperate!'  Says the Lord!  Be holy, as I am holy!

Not one person went forward at the end of the service in the Christmas-filled congregation!

I have waited until now to say anything about it, because I did not want to be one who impulsively blurts out everything, until I am more sure of the purpose and the intent of the revelations.

I'm sure that you've seen in the news that Joihn Kerry is in the midst of much travel, flurrying back and forth from the U.S. to the Middle East, working with colleagues and partners, kings of the earth, to work a negotionation out, a peace treaty.  As my wife points out, they've been triyng to do that for years!  Yes, but it seems that there is a special push by the media concerning this effort.  It seems that attention is really being drawn to this treaty negotiation.

It appears that this year may bring in a peace treaty with the Middle East.  If it does, that will be HUGE!!!  Apart from all the natural signs and birth pains and eerie sounds we are witnessing from around the globe, this will be of major prophetic fulfillment.  And the LORD has raised up a number of Watchmen that are sounding the alarm!

In Daniel 9, 70 sevens are declared for Israel to "to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place (Daniel 9:24)."    The first 69 sevens (shabuas) were completed when Yeshua Mashiach was lifted up onto the tree, buried and rose three days later (Hos. 6:1,2).  The Seventieth seven awaits its fulfillment with the signing of a seven year peace treaty, and the re-establishment of the Temple of YHWH ha El-Elyon.

If the "realization" that came upon me were true, and I believe it was, and a seven year peace treaty  is signed for the Middle East, hold on to your hats!  Seven years from 2014 will be 2021.  The Bible declares Seven years for this shabua to be fulfilled, and after that, Messiah will return!

Zechariah 12:9-10   9 "And in that day I will set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.  10 "I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.

Believer, time is short.  As John tells us: 28 Now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming (1 John 2:28  ).  If you have never entered into a personal, saving relationship with Jesus Christ, you can do so today by calling out to His name, and agreeing with God that you are a sinner, and need his forgiveness (Rom. 10:9-10, 13).

The Kingdom Epic: Satan's Last Stand

All of history, up to the present time, has been one long battle.  Ever since shortly after the begining of creation, Satan, who was known as Lucifer, the archangel, wrested legal, covenental control of all autrhority away from the Creator God.  But Yahweh, in His omnipotent sovereign foresight saw all of this, and already had a plan set in motion.  Messiah was crucified before the foundation of the world (1 Peter 1:20-21), to redeem those chosen before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4); there was no plan B.

All through history, Satan and his minion forces have tried to destroy humanity, created in the image of Elohim (Gen. 1:27).  But more than that, they have attempted to wipe out the line of Messiah, prophesied to our first parents and the serpent himself while still in the garden (Gen. 3:15).

Down through the ages, Satan has enticed humanity, made in the image of Elohim (the Creator God), with the promise of powers and abilities to "improve" humanity, or to "become as gods" (Gen. 6:4, 10:8).  Before the great flood, recorded in all the histories of the peoples around the world, fallen angels descended and chose women to sire offspring.  The Nephilim (Giants) were on the earth in those days, and also afterward (Gen. 6:4).  So we see a corruption of the genetic seed of the ones made in the image of Elohim, Yahweh.

And he almost succeeded... but the YHWH saved the world through Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others aboard the ark.  This brought them through the worldwide devastating flood, in order to rebuild humanity.  But in fallen man's lust for power not his, he is led astray again, and so the Nephilim were reintroduced.

But this time, Elohim gave rise to a race of people, the Jews, through which He brought about the prophesied seed (Gen. 3:15) promised to crush the head of the serpent.  It was prophesied through many prophets descended from Abraham, called out of Iraq, under the Torah of Moses.  And the seed was through the tribe of Judah, born in Bethlehem, of the City of David.  The best attested fact in history is the birth of the Messiah, in a small, humble cave used for keeping animals (Mt. 2:1).

And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she was about to give birth, he might devour her child.  And she gave birth to a male child, who is to rule all nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God, and to His throne.  (Rev. 12:4,5).

Here we have in the Twelfth chapter of the book of Revelation, history encapsulated in the first four verses. The passage is by no means chronological in the current sense of the word, but it is describing this inerplay between one, the orchestration of Yhwh, and two, the attempts of the rebellious archangel bent on forging humanity into his instrument of glorification.

So we can see, that since the flood, with the distribution of Noah's sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth into their respective regions of the earth (Gen. 10), Yahweh brings about the woman crowned with twelve stars on her head, that is, the nation of Israel, descended from Shem.

When Yeshua was born in that small little city of Bethlehem, and King Herod learned of this new king born, prophesied by the Hebrew prophets, he had every child under two yeas old put to death (Mt. 2:16).  At this point in history, we see the dragon, set before the woman with twelve stars (Israel), attempting to devour the child, the prophesied seed of woman (of the virgin Mary) (Gen. 3:15; Is. 7:14).  He failed.  Joseph was warned in a dream to take his child and flee to Egypt (Mt. 2:13)!

Since that time, Jesus grew up, carried out his ministry, and offered his life up as a willing Passover sacrifice to satisfy the justice of El Elyon (Jn. 10:11; Rom. 3:25; Heb. 2:17; 1 Jn. 4:10).  After Yeshua's ascent into heaven, his disciples were clothed with power from on high (Acts 1:8) and went forth proclaiming the good news of Yeshua's redemption until the time when the gospel has been proclaimed in all the earth as a testimony to all the nations (Lk. 24:47; Mt. 24:14).

It's been two-thousand years since the ascent of Messiah.  During this time, Yeshua's followers have been going forth into all the earth, carrying this message, attended with many signs and miracles performed in the name of Yeshua, or Jesus, as our English audience knows Him.  For two-thousand years, Satan and his forces have been seeking to stop this reclaiming of the rightful Ruler.  And he has led many astray, killed many, left many in despair and hopelessness, or shattered when they come to their ends, and realize that all their hopes were built on a lie, but repentance is gone.

And now the pieces over the last century have been moved into place, to bring about the final one-world empire prophesied by the Hebew Prophet Daniel (Dan. 7:19,23).  This last period of seven years (Dan. 9:26) is Satan's last grasp at the reigns... if he can somehow wipe out the Jews, he will prove Yahweh Elohim is a liar, and not God, and therefore, become triumphant.  So it's no-holds-barred.  Satan is pulling out all the stops!  Every lying trick and deception that he can offer, every deception that he can muster, in one final attempt to wrest creation away from Yahweh, from Yeshua.

And as we see at present, he is turning the leaders of the nations of the world against God's chosen people Israel (Zech. 12:2,3).  They are in the spell of the dragon (1 Jn. 5:19, Eph. 2:2)!  But Israel belongs to Yahweh, they are His people, and the land is His land (Lev. 25:23)!  And they are His tool to destroy the works of Satan, and bring about reconciliation, and redemption for this tattered, war-torn planet (Col. 1:20).

And He will bring righteousness, and peace upon the earth!  And under Yeshua's reign from Jerusalem, the earth will enjoy (finally) the blessings of Yahweh, unprecedented blessing and harmony so longed for by new agers (Isaiah 11).

We are in end-game mode.  This is it.  And as followers of Christ, we must take up our crosses and follow Him.  For those of us in the formerly United States, we are going to learn this lesson as never before!  And for many, it will end in death.  This was foretold us (2 Tim. 3:12).   But soon coming is the return of the Real Ruler, the true King, who is King of kings, and LORD of lords!  His name is YESHUA!!!!  Hallelujah!!!!

In the words of an old hymn by Luther:
"For still our ancient foe, doth seek to work us woe; his craft and power are great, and armed with cruel hate, on earth is not his equal.  Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing; were not the right man on our side, the man of God's own choosing.  Dost ask who that may be?  Christ Jesus it is He!  Lord Sabaoth His name, from age to age the same, and He must win the battle!
This world with devils filled, should threaten to undo us, We will not fear, for God hath willed, His Truth to triumph through us;  The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him, his rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure!  One little word shall fell him!
That word, above all earthly powers, no thanks to them, abideth.  The Spirit and the gifts are ours, through Him who with us sideth.  Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also.  They body they may kill, God's Truth abideth still.  His Kingdom is forever.

Protecting our Children: Restoring Sacredness to Life

Huckabee hit it in this article, that indeed the removal of God from schools is the underlying reason why we see this escalation of violence on innocents like our children. But more specifically, it is because our children are indoctrinated with the theory of naturalistic evolution (that we evolved out of chemical mud and goo) by our government, so that the people will look to government as their savior/deliverer, and give the political elite all power and right over their lives.

This is precisely antithetical to the ideas our nation was founded on! Our country was founded by Protestant Christians who were fleeing from the pseudo religious governments of Europe, because they would not allow the pilgrims to live their lives in obedience to Biblical truths. Yes, and the two main groups in power were the Anglican Church of England, and the Roman Catholic churches. I think the Anglicans have a reformed branch that is nothing like the State Church, but the Roman Catholic church compromised with Constantine early on, and when it became a world ruler in 752, when the then current pope courted King Pepin, and received central Italy to rule over. But Jesus said "My kingdom is not of this world" (Jn. 18:36).

The early Americans knew and understood that they needed to own and keep guns to protect themselves from political powers, yes, from governments that were over-reaching their means. And that is precisely what the U.S. government, and who knows, maybe the U.N. will join into this hubbub too, as they "seize citizens ownership" to own guns for life and liberty. Without guns, it's alot easier to control the citizenry.

But back to the problem at hand.  Our children in school are no longer taught that we are created beings made in the image of God, and that life is sacred, and that Yahweh has a special purpose for each individual on earth, and more specifically, in this great nation.    What are they taught, that there is no love or purpose in the universe, or in our design (despite all the irreducibly complex design in our genes).  They are taught that we are randomly formed products of evolution, that mindlessly occurred through chance.  In schools your precious little kids are taught that there is no God that loves them, they are just like the animals, that live by instinct, only further along in the evolutionary scale.

When people grow up under this sort of indoctrination, why are we surprised when they go to schools or shopping malls or other public places and premeditatedly murder scores of innocent children?  There is a observable, noted correlation between the falling of grades, the escalation of STDs, crime, the increase of divorce, and the removal of Biblical teaching from U.S. public schools.

And this is where the true test is.  If our media, and our politicians, the president, and the Democrats in congress, are truly outraged over this morally horrific murder of dozens of innocent babies, then not only are they going to allow citizens to keep and promote personal gun ownership, but they will

1.       shut down Abortion clinics, which murders millions of our innocent precious babies created in the image of God, and

2.      they will reinstate Biblical Judeo-Christian teaching in our American schools, so that

a.       we once again are raised with the belief that Yahweh, our heavenly Father created us all in His image, in love,

b.      and that each of us have a sacred purpose and dignity in life, and that murder is wrong, and that life is moral, and that because of our sins which separate us from this loving heavenly Father, who is also a just  God who must punish wrong and rebellion, that He sent His Son, who willingly laid down His life for our sins (Jn 10:17-18).

·         When President Barrack Obama and the Democratic and Republicans in office do everything in their power to outlaw abortion, and to reinstate moral, religious Christian instruction into our children’s schools, then we will see they are telling the truth.  Otherwise, they are, in the words of Rahm Emmanuel, "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before."

Ugandan President Repents Of Personal, National Sins

Ugandan President Repents Of Personal, National Sins

After all her ravaging trials that has beset her, Uganda is finally turning to the One the U.S. in her "wisdom" has so tolerantly turned away from.  Uganda, may the LORD bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you, and give you shalom!  Amen.

Being Green and Polluting the Earth

The Pope pronounced that it is a sin to pollute on the earth ,here. What does the Bible really say?

Certainly, in the beginning (Genesis), man was created as caretaker and steward of the earth, to spread Elohim's glory throughout the earth. But about pollution, it says:

"The earth is polluted by its people; they have disobeyed the laws, violated the statutes and broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse consumes the earth; its people must bear their guilt. Therefore earth's inhabitants are burned up, aqnd very few are left." Is. 24:5,6

So the earthis polluted, the Bible says, as people worship "mother earth" and the whole green movement to "protect the earth, is actually causing in more pollution and curses upon the earth thaqn if every inhabitant on earth threw down their gum wrappers! So the next time you see something with the Green movement, even in Church, know that it is idolatrous pollution [i.e. defilement] bringing curses on the earth.

The Israel Omen Interview with David Brennen

This is a great first part of a video series that shows how God honors his promise to Abraham in Genesis 12:3, and how modern political events caused great divine wrath (Ps. 2).

Top American Bible teacher makes new home in New Zealand

Challenge Weekly said that Chuck Missler had become impatient with those who maintain “that you can’t prove the Bible,” and draws on his professional background in the information sciences to point out that you can demonstrate the integrity and deliberate design of the 66 books we call the Bible, even though they were written by over 40 different authors.

It says that Missler insists that, “Once one discovers that every number, every place name, every detail has been skillfully and deliberately crafted, one then is confronted with a second discovery: that this deliberate design had to come from outside the dimension of time itself, since it anticipates history in advance — in such detail that it demands a supernatural origin.”

He points out, “Since God has the technology to create us in the first place, he certainly has the technology to get a message to us. The challenge is how does he authenticate his message — so that we know it is really from him, and not a contrivance or a fraud? By relying on his unique vantage point outside our time domain. Only he knows the end from the beginning.”

Science: 666 Surveillance System

Worldview Weekend looks at a new technology, a flexible tatoo that can be placed on the skin, on the right hand or forehead. This tatoo contains circuitry that will monitor your heart conditions, carry personal information, your thoughts, and be able to receive and transmit information.

Science: 666 Surveillance System

Terrible times are ahead for those who have not trusted Jesus Christ and have that personal relationship with him (Jn. 17:3; Jn. 14:6, Acts 4:12). Those not in Christ will be forced to take this mark, if they are to buy and sell and live in this coming one world society.

Turn from your sins (hatred, fornication, lying, lust, fear, stress, worry...), agree with God you are a sinner and need His forgiveness, and trust Jesus to be your Lord and Savior to be rescued from the domain of darkness and the punishment of eternal destruction in the fiery lake of hell (2 Thess 1:9, Mt. 10:28; Mt. 18:9; Mk. 9:48; Lk. 12:5).

ISRAEL IN AN “UNPRECEDENTED” PERIOD OF SECURITY, BUT IRAN CAN ALREADY PRODUCE A NUCLEAR BOMB « Joel Rosenberg’s Weblog

Joel Rosenberg on his blog monitoring developments in the Middle East, and especially with Israel, quotes Gen. Major Amos Yadlin as saying that the "recent security calm in Israel is unprecendented."
There is one major battle that must take place before the appearance of the lawless one, and a seven-year peace treaty with Israel, described in Ezek. 38. One condition that hadn't been met yet, though many have, is that Israel was not living securely. But apparently now they are. Could this be the time, Joel asks, that Ezek. 38 is referring to?

What does the Zabur say of Zionists?

What the Zabur says of Zionists

Islam, like many other religions, claim to stem from the Bible, and from the faith of Abraham, to claim their legitimacy. Islam, much like Mormonism, claims that the Bible has been corrupted by Christians and Jews, but it does regard as holy three parts of the Bible, the Torat (Torah ~first five books), the Zabur (Psalms), and the Injil (Gospel ~ though Islam denies the very tenets of the Gospel).

This morning in my devotion time, I was reading in the Psalms, and struck by the beautiful poetry used to describe the place which Yhwh chose for His name to dwell, where king Solomon built a great and beautiful temple to worship this King of heaven and earth. But its funny, today reading the headlines of our current day media, they vilify the place and the people of the Lord’s choosing! Should that be a surprise?

Muslims vilify all those who love Jerusalem, Israel and the Jews, and support them as God’s chosen people, and wish their success, happiness and fulfillment (shalom), as Zioinists. Since the Qur’an “originates” from the Bible, if indeed it does… let’s see what the Bible, in particular, the Zabur, says about those Zionists.

A Psalm of the sons of Korah. A Song.

1 His foundation is in the holy mountains. 2 The LORD loves the gates of Zion
More than all the other dwelling places of Jacob. 3 Glorious things are spoken of you,
O city of God. Selah . 4 "I shall mention Rahab and Babylon among those who know Me;
Behold, Philistia and Tyre with Ethiopia :
'This one was born there.' " 5 But of Zion it shall be said, "This one and that one were born in her";
And the Most High Himself will establish her. 6 The LORD will count when He registers the peoples,
"This one was born there." Selah. 7 Then those who sing as well as those who play the flutes shall say,
"All my springs of joy are in you."
Psalms 87:1-7 (NASB95)

5 How blessed is the man whose strength is in You,
In whose heart are the highways to Zion! 6 Passing through the valley of Baca they make it a spring ;
The early rain also covers it with blessings. 7 They go from strength to strength,
Every one of them appears before God in Zion.
Psalms 84:5-7 (NASB95)

It seems the Zabur portrays Zion and those who love the place of God’s “holy habitation,” in a positive light. How then are those who love the Lord and the place of His choosing cast in a negative light, unless the religion is not truly of the God of Abraham.
So according to God's word, being a Zionist (a lover of Zion, and one who desires good for the people of Israel), is a good, desireable, and godly trait!

God Gifts and Callings

“God’s Gifts and Calling are Irrevocable.”

26 And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written: The Liberator will come to Zion; He will turn away godlessness from Jacob. 27 And this will be My covenant with them, when I take away their sins. 28 Regarding the gospel, they are enemies for your advantage, but regarding election, they are loved because of their forefathers, 29 since God’s gracious gifts and calling are irrevocable.

Romans 11:26-29 (HCSB)

IN the days of the great falling away, there are many heresies. One of those spoken to already in this blog is Preterism. Another is known as Replacement Theology. Replacement theology is a broad term that describes different views which assumes the Church has replaced Israel’s place in the covenant blessings (not curses though) of God. This view has effected much of the Gentile Church since the days of Martin Luther.

Preterism, a more dastardly Marxist theological view, says that the Lord returned in 90 A.D. and resurrected his people. The believers left on earth are left to do their best to get things in shape. Their only real hope is the departure to heaven when they die.

Both of these views teach that the Gentile Church has replaced God’s purpose for the Jews. This is based on a serious misunderstanding of scripture and voids many of the prophetic passages dealing with God’s dealing with the nations and in particular, the Jews in the last days.

Romans is a jewel in the midst of the New Testament, so rich with theological jewels and precious jewels. It’s the closest we have to systematic theology of the New Testament. Martin Luther himself (who was converted by the illuminiation of Rom. 1:17 – “a righteousness is revealed, that is by faith from first to last”) said in it is “the purest gospel… it should be read every day.” Oh, had we given heed to his words! We might have been spared the theological and damnable heresies in our day. But who can contest the will of God? 17 Why, O LORD, do You cause us to stray from Your ways And harden our heart from fearing You? Isaiah 63:17.

The apostle Paul writes in this passage found near the end of Romans in this great treatise on election and predestination (chapters 9-11), which is centered on the nation of Israel and God’s choosing and calling Israel to be his chosen people. This is where God says that his gracious gifts (the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the temple service, and the promises-Romans 9:4 (HCSB) and His calling (to be a blessing to all nations, to bring salvation to the earth, et al.) are irrevocable.

So let’s look at the above passage. Paul says “and in this way all Israel will be saved.” Many assume by a quick reading through the passage that Israel will be saved by the preceeding text of this verse, the salvation of the Gentiles. But that is not what Paul means at all.

Paul is saying in effect, “And in this way, all Israel (that is, all those chosen to receive the gift of salvation Jn 15:16) will be saved.” And the next sentence, he quotes from the prophet Isaiah, “And the Liberator will come to Zion; He will turn away godlessness from Jacob. 27 And this will be My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.” It is in this way that Israel will be saved. Not by passing the gospel baton on to the Gentiles.

Paul affirms Isaiah, and states that the Liberator will come to Zion and turn godlessness away from Jacob. This is the covenant God has made with Israel when He takes away their sins. They are saved by grace through faith, and that not of themselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, so that no one can boast (Eph 2:8,9).

Zechariah prophesied of the same thing when he was speaking of the return of the Messiah to defend his people against the nations of the earth, which had gathered against her in the great confrontation known as Armageddon.

"In that day a fountain will be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for impurity. 2 "It will come about in that day," declares the LORD of hosts, "that I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, and they will no longer be remembered; and I will also remove the prophets and the unclean spirit from the land.”

Zechariah 13:1-2

And this is when the LORD cleanses his people of their sin, at the end of the 7 year reign of the one world ruler, the man of lawlessness, whom “the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming” 2 Thess. 2:8. The people of Israel will “look on Me whom they have pierced” (Zech 12:10). At this point the Messiah will establish His rule upon the earth, and His chosen ones shall be ministers upon the earth for the thousand year rule of the Messiah (Rev. 20:6).

So the testimony of scripture is that God is indeed not finished with the Jews. In fact, they are the only nation on earth that has remained intact and reassembled after 1800 years of dispersion among the nations of the world. One of the greatest miracles was the recognition of the Jewish state in 1948, and even up to today Jews continue to make aliyah and return to their homeland.

God’s gifts and His callings are irrevocable. We are so shortsighted, and don’t recognize the work of the LORD. As followers of the Messiah, followers of the One who claims to be the Truth, it behooves us to stand with Israel.

Response to J. Evans 10 Reasons Why Jesus is not God

I was presented a video by a Muslim friend of a Islamic show, seeking to disprove Christianity and exalt Islam. The video was a 48 min. presentation of the “The Deen Show”, interviewing a former Christian youth pastor, Josh Evans, who has converted to Islam. This former Christian presents 10 reasons why Jesus Christ is not God.

At the outset, I’d like to make a point about Evans presentation. There is one major premise that shifts the burden of proof somewhat in his favor. This premise is that he uses as his basis of authority is the Quran, to disprove the Bible and show the passages in the Quran are right. That is the same argument Christians are accused of, “You assume the Bible is right, and then say it proves itself. That begs the question.” Evans is saying, “The Quran says the Bible is wrong, and so here is how the Bible is wrong, based on the Quran.” That is a fallacious argument, and not good logic. (Neither did Mr. Evans show good logic throughout his entire presentation, but I’m not going to engage in ad hominem arguments.) You can make that same argument about every other religion, using any other religious text you chose. “Today, Mr. Evans is going to give 10 Reasons how Muhammed Cannot be a prophet based on the teachings of the Bhagavad-Gita.”

In order for this to be legitimate, Mr. Evans has to show how the legitimacy of the Qur’an is greater than that of the Bible, which is some parts, were composed 1000’s of years prior to the Qur’an, and at the latest, 600 years. Mr. Evans does not do this, so his presentation from the outset is illegitimate.

Okay, now to his ten reasons and my response:

Ten Reasons Jesus cannot be God:

10. God cannot be born. Mr. Evans states the Biblical truth that God has been self-existent without beginning for all eternity. This is agrees with the Bible, which is in question here, but Islam takes from the teachings of the Bible (and since Islam came later, 600 A.D., all points where they “agree” is taken, or lifted, from the Biblical religion.)

But the issue here is not really Christianity is wrong because Jesus could not be born if he claims to be God. It seems Evans equivocates on his points, stating that “God is Almighty,” but “he cannot be born.” If the LORD, in His power and wisdom, and concern for the erring human race, wanted to enter humanity, as a creature, what is to stop Him from doing this. The Bible says “Nothing is too hard for the Lord” (Gen. 18:14) and "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (Matt. 19:26).

Mr. Evans misunderstands and misrepresents the character of the Trinity, the Christian God, and so he repeatedly makes erroneous charges against Christianity and Jesus Christ. In His plan, God predetermined all things necessary before the foundation of the earth, for bringing about a “people of his own, eager for good works.”(Titus 2:14; 1 Peter 2:9; Eph. 2:10).

Revelation 13:8 8 All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast-- all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world. {8 Or written from the creation of the world in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain}

So we see from this verse, in the end times book given to the apostle John, that Jesus was chosen according to the will of God the Father, to die for the sins of the elect before earth was created.

God had a plan in His mind for the entire process of salvation, of reconciling a fallen sinful world to Himself. This is a major point on which Judaism and Chrisitianity differ from Islam. The Bible teaches that the first man and his wife disobeyed God in the garden of Eden, when the serpent tempted Eve. She looked at the fruit, saw it was good for food, pleasing to the eye, and good for making one wise she ate the fruit, and her husband also (Genesis 3:1-7). This point of teaching makes Christianity and Judaism different from all other religions on the planet. Islam does not see man as being inherently sinful. But this is precisely what the Bible teaches. Therefore, in Islam, like all other world religions, man can earn or achieve his own salvation, and does not need a Savior. The Bible teaches that because we are all inherently sinful from birth, there is nothing that we can do to earn our own salvation.

Romans 5:12 12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned—

Isaiah 64:6 6 All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 20 There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins.

Romans 6:23 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:21 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin {21 Or be a sin offering} for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

The apostle James tells us that if we have broken one commandment, we have broken the entire law (James 2:10). The law was a revelation of God’s righteous character. So because we are all sinful (Rom 3:23), and have broken God’s law, we need a redeemer, a propitiation (atoning sacrifice) to satisfy God’s holy wrath. This is why Jesus became a man and came to earth.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 3:25 25 God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, {25 or as the one who would turn aside his wrath, taking away sin} through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished--

In Islam, you observe the 5 rituals (charity, fasting, alms, etc.) and say the shahada. In Christianity, there is absolutely nothing you can do to satisfy God’s holy anger against your sins which have offended his holiness (especially killing innocents, which Muslims are fond of). The one thing you may do is seek His mercy through His word and praying that He will save you. The Bible teaches that only the elect, those chosen before the foundation of the world, will be saved.

Ephesians 1:4-7 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace

Leviticus 17:11 11 'For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.'

Only a human could pay for the sins of humans. But only God could pay for all those being saved, since He , as God, is of infinite worth, and He lived a sinless life on earth. For this reason, Jesus (Yeshua/Joshua~“God saves”) had to identify with us by becoming a man.

Hebrews 10:12 12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, [all caps is a citation from the Old Testament]

9. No verses say that Jesus is God…

“God wasn’t explicit who the Messiah would be”

“We believe John 1:1 – that Jesus was the word of God, we believe that”

To understand the New Testament teaching, this requires a study of the verses, and a knowledge on the use of Jewish titles.

First, we have the demons recognition and proclamation about Jesus:

Luke 8:28 28 Seeing Jesus, he cried out and fell before Him, and said in a loud voice, "What business do we have with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me." (also Mark 5:7)

Mark 1:24-25 24 saying, "What business do we have with each other, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are-- the Holy One of God!" 25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet, and come out of him!"

Luke 4:34-35 34 "Let us alone! What business do we have with each other, Jesus 2of Nazareth? HaveYou come to destroy us? I know who You are-- the Holy One of God!" 35 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet and come out of him!" And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst of the people, he came out of him without doing him any harm.

Acts 16:16-17 16 It happened that as we were going to the place of prayer, a slave-girl having a spirit of divination met us, who was bringing her masters much profit by fortune-telling. 17 Following after Paul and us, she kept crying out, saying, "These men are bond-servants of the Most High God, who are proclaiming to you the way of salvation."

Acts 19:15-16 15 And the evil spirit answered and said to them, "I recognize Jesus, and I know about Paul, but who are you?" 16 And the man, in whom was the evil spirit, leaped on them and subdued all of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Okay, now why would Jesus and the disciples tell the demons to be quiet? Because Jesus didn’t want the people consulting demons or demonic forces to lead them to a right relationship with God. He wants all people to come through Him to the Father. “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except through Me.” (Jn 14:6).

Next, we have the proclamation of John the Baptist.

John 1:26-27, 29 26 John answered them saying, "I baptize in water, but among you stands One whom you do not know. 27 "It is He who comes after me, the thong of whose sandal I am not worthy to untie."… 29 The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Caiaphas, the night before his crucifixion, on Passover weekend, questioned Jesus if He were the Son of the Most High, the expected deliverer of Israel.

Matthew 26:63-65 63 But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest said to Him, "I adjure You by the living God, that You tell us whether You are the Christ, the Son of God." 64 Jesus said to him, "You have said it yourself; nevertheless I tell you, hereafter you will see THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF POWER, and COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN." 65 Then the high priest tore his robes and said, "He has blasphemed! What further need do we have of witnesses? Behold, you have now heard the blasphemy;

Because the Jews were looking for a Messiah who woiuld deliver them politically from the hands of the oppressive Roman empire, and give them the literal rule of the kingdoms of earth, Jesus did not want to declare himself out and out as the Messiah, knowing that this would draw the wrong types of people, and create a misunderstanding as to the true nature of His first purpose in coming down, to destroy the works of the evil one, Satan, through His work on the cross.

1 John 3:8 8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.

This is why Jesus chose to use a different Messianic title, “the Son of Man.” Of course, it was not a title used exclusively of Christ, as Evans points out, but in the Jewish mind, with their background in the Tanach (Old Testament/Covenant), they though primarily of Daniel ch. 7 where the everlasting dominion and power is given to one like a ‘son of man’ (looks like a human) who approaches the ancient of days.

12 As for the rest of the beasts, their authority to rule was removed, but an extension of life was granted to them for a certain period of time. 13 I continued watching in the night visions, and I saw One like a son of man coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was escorted before Him. 14 He was given authority to rule, and glory, and a kingdom; so that those of every people, nation, and language should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.   Dan 7:12-14 (HCSB)

THIS was the passage primarily that Jesus referred to in calling himself the Son of Man. It was to THIS Son of Man Jesus referred to. It’s interesting isn’t it, with all the conflict in the Middle East today, from which out of the Lord called Abraham (Genesis 11:31), that the prophet Daniel lived in Iraq when he had these dreams/visions about the end times?

So as to verses in the Bible that say “Jesus Christ is to be the Messiah,” there are none of those. But there are many prophetic scriptures given to recognize the Messiah. I’m leading a group through Genesis right now, and it’s interesting the genealogical line through which the Messiah comes, which continues to narrow down through Biblical history. It starts with Adam and Eve’s children. God makes a promise to Eve, that a “seed” (descendent) of hers will crush the head of the serpent (Satan) Gen. 3:15: “He will strike your head, you will strike his heel.” Cain kills his righteous brother Abel, so the Lord gives Eve another son to replace Abel, named Seth. The line goes through Seth. Noah was a great grandson of Seth, and the earth was greatly wicked, so the Lord judged the earth with the flood and all the families of the earth, except the family of Noah, of the lineage of Seth, were destroyed. After the flood, Noah gets drunk on some wine, and his son Ham mocks him. So Ham is cursed, Shem is blessed with the Messianic/spiritual blessings, and Japeth is blessed to extend through the earth (Gen. 9:24-27). I am descended from Japeth, as are most from Turkey north into Europe and Russia. You might be interested to study that and find out who your great forefather was, which of the three sons of Noah.

But the messianic promises narrow further to Abraham, in Genesis ch. 12, of the line of Shem, father of the Semitic peoples. The promises pass on to Isaac, not Ishamel, who was firstborn, and on which Muslims and Jews and Christians differ. But throughout the Old Testament, the younger is chosen over the older, to show that it is of God and not of man. God will not share His glory. I could go one with Messianic promises, but will give three here, that would be impossible to fulfill within three people.

1. 15 “The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers. You must listen to him. Deut 18:15 (HCSB)

· I know Muslims claim this as Muhammed. But Muhammed was not of the Jews, and the usage of the term ‘brothers’ does not have the capability to refer to Arabs, though many were descended also from Shem. They were not ‘brothers,’ but cousins. Jesus fulfilled this prophecy, in that He taught and observed the Torah of God in exact concordance as it was given to Moses. Muhammed did not do this. In John 6, John records a time where Jesus miraculously fed five thousand men, with wives and children, so the total number was more probably at least 12,000 people.

· John 6:13-14 13 So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. 14 Therefore when the people saw the sign which He had performed, they said, "This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world."

2. Isaiah 7:14 14 "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.

· We know that Jesus was born of Mary, who was a virgin until after Jesus’ birth. Immanuel means “God is with us.” A prophecy of the incarnation of Jesus, God the Son.

3. 2 Bethlehem Ephrathah, you are small among the clans of Judah; One will come from you to be ruler over Israel for Me. His origin is from antiquity, from eternity. Micah 5:2 (HCSB)

· Muhammed was not born in Israel, nor Bethlehem. And certainly Muhammed would not claim to have existed from eternity. Jesus filled this prophecy, as his earthly father, Joseph was of the lineage of King David, and David’s birthplace was Bethlehem. So at the census of the Jews, Joseph and Mary returned to Bethlehem, where the pregnant virgin gave birth to the Messiah, fulfilling the prophecy (Luke 2:1-7). And as the prophet declared that this ‘ruler’s’ origin is from eternity, we see another evidence for the divinity of Jesus. The statistical probabilities of all these prophecies being met in Jesus is so large to be astrological! You’ve got a better chance at winning the lottery every year for the rest of your life!

8. No man has seen God- therefore if Jesus is God, this would be a false statement

This is referring to God the Father, who still exists in His infinite form. And as finite creatures, even the redeemed people in heaven, bought by Christ’s shed blood, will never be able to see all of God, in His infinitude.

Again, here Josh is rejecting the Biblical teaching of the Trinity, and then saying that this teaching is wrong. That is a faulty logical assumption. If Jesus is who He claims to be in the Bible, the second person of the infinite, eternal God-head, who was born as a human baby, then of course He has seen or would be able to have seen God.

Matthew 19:26 26 And looking at them Jesus said to them, "With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

7. This concept was not taught by Jesus nor his disciples.

Mr. Evans stated that the first Christians still considered themselves as part of Judaism. For the first three to five years, the Christian church was all Jews. And they rightly saw Christianity as the fulfillment of Biblical Judaism.

Mr. Evans stated how the Qumran community were not followers of Yeshua/Jesus. These never were. This community was always an apocalyptic type community living atop Qumran, copying the scrolls of the Bible. But they never at any point followed the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. This is no way invalidates the Christian teaching.

Mr.. Evans said that Christian worship and beliefs were concocted in 325 A.D. This flies in the face of tons of historical literature from pre 325 A.D. There are writings from many ancient church fathers, much of which can be read online, that were from the generation or two following the life of Christ and his apostels. Polycarp was a disciple of John, and much is known about his life. http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/martyrdompolycarp.html

Even a simple reading of the book Paul wrote to the Galatian believers (in Turkey) will show this false, and it was written sometime between 40-65 A.D. All of the apostles except John were martyred, and the apostle John died in the city of Ephesus in the mid 90s A.D.

The entire teaching of the divinity of Christ, the Trinity and Christians, etc. is and was in the New Testament, which was completely by 90 A.D. with the book of revelation given to the apostle John, concerning the end-times, and Yahweh’s judgment on evil and the restoration of all things.

Evans said that Jesus never taught the Trinity. This is like the homosexuals who say “Jesus never tuahgt against homosexuality, so he was okay with it.” Both arguments are complete nonsense. There are lots of parts of the Old Testament that it is not recorded as Jesus having spoke to. But Jesus did believe and teach that the Old Testament revelation the Jews had was the truth, and said so. John 17:17 17 "Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” Jesus completely affirmed all scripture revelation that had been given to the make up the Tanakh, and told the apostles that after he was taken from the earth, he would give more teachings to them through the Holy Spirit who would illuminate their minds and inspire them.

John 16:12-15 12 "I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. 14 "He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. 15 "All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.

The Biblical teaching on the Trinity is difficult for us to understand, but it was believed by most of the early church. What happened in 325 A.D. at the Nicean council was the church was formulating an agreed upon creed for the belief in the God-hood of three persons as One God. This was done in response to cults which were distorting Christian doctrines.

Evans said Bible scholars have removed 1 John 5:7 from the New Testament. I’m not sure where he gets his information. In my bible, it says: 1 John 5:7-8 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. Evans says this in his argument against the Trinity, trying to dismiss the Trinity, but this verse taken in context is not a reference to the Trinity, but rather speaking a three-fold testimony to the witness about Jesus’ Messianic work on the cross.

2 Corinthians 13:14 14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.

Romans 1:4 4 who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord,

These are two verses that mention the three persons of the God-head together. For a look on the teachings of the three persons of the God-head, you can look at http://www.sbc.net/bfm/bfm2000.asp which gives a thorough listing of the Biblical passages on each person of the Trinity under the main heading of God.

6. Jesus slept, ate, drank… God is self-sufficient

The remark that God is self-sufficient and does not experience weakness as His divine self is completely true. The fact that Jesus ate, slept and drank is a testimony to his full humanity, which is part of the wonder of the incarnation, that God became human to become the atoning sacrifice for our sins, as the Passover lamb. The miracle of the incarnation is that the infinite God became a human being to completely identify with us as created beings, and be able to take our punishment for sins upon Himself.

Philippians 2:5-8 5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Hebrews 2:17 17 For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for {17 Or and that he might turn aside God's wrath, taking away} the sins of the people.

5. Jesus claimed that God’s knowledge was greater than His.

Again, this is part of the wonder of the Incarnation of Messiah. As we saw, his goings forth were from eternity, as stated by the prophet Micah (5:2) and as Isaiah says, He is the “father of eternal life” (Isah. 9:6).

Isaiah 9:6 6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, {6 Or Wonderful, Counselor} Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Though he was prophesied to be a human/divine deliverer by the prophets of old, in his humanity, we see he emptied Himself, temporarily, of some of His divine attributes, while in His human life before the crucifixion. Phil 2:7-8 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Evans cited Mt. 24 where Jesus stated He did not know the day nor hour of the final judgment. This is to his disciples while on earth, before His reascension to glory. Of course He knows the day and hour now, and as the world leaders work on a global currency and imposition of rule predicted long ago by the prophet Daniel, for the last earthly kingdom, Jesus eagerly anticipates His soon coming for His church (where I and my family are going to be taken), but He also knows the near time of His parousia or Second-coming where He will reign for 1000 years as Lord of all (in contradiction to the teachings of Islam).

Evans cited John 14:28, “The Father is greater than I.” Of course, in Christ’s human state, and in the role of “Son”, where Jesus voluntarily submits Himself to the will of God the Father, He submits Himself to God the Father, and confesses that the Father is greater than Himself. Though in His being, Jesus is equal to God the Father and God the Holy Spirit in every way. A study of the verses listed in the Baptist Faith and Message, cited above, will detail this.

Evans says that “the concept of Trinity cannot be understood…” and therefore concludes that it must be wrong. As finite beings, humans will never be able to fully grasp God the Creator, who is infinite in being. But this is no way renders the Biblical teachings wrong, in fact more so proves the truth of the matter. For if humans cannot understand the teaching of the Trinity, how could humans invent a concept like this? Would it not be impossible to invent something you could not understand or conceive of?

4. Jesus explicitly states that He is Not God.

This is precisely what Jesus taught and claimed. But to come right out directly and claim this, would not have served Jesus’ purpose for His first coming (advent) to the earth, as the Jews were looking for an earthly, political deliverer, and God’s plans went so far beyond that, to pay the price for human sins, and reconcile men to Himself once that is done, through grace, evidenced by faith in those who have received the gift of salvation.

The Bible also teaches that those who truly believe, never depart from the faith. 1 John 2:19 19 They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. Mr. Evans, though he at one point functioned as a youth pastor, it does not mean he knew Christ as His personal Lord and Savior. The fact that he left the faith for Islam indicates by divine revelation, that he never did know Christ. “This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” Jn. 17:3. In this verse, Jesus, siginifies that eternal life is a relationship where the person knows God in an intimate way. This is achieved by having the shed blood of Jesus applied to our lives, so that we can have all our sins forgiven, that the righteousness of Chirst might be applied to our lives.

Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.

2 Corinthians 5:21 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin {21 Or be a sin offering} for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

And now for the BIG THREE!

3. “Son of God” not exclusive title to Jesus Christ

This is indeed true, but that a title is applied to other persons in no way invalidates a title of its intended meaning. Son of God was indeed applied to other peoples in the O.T., as was the title ‘gods.’ God was applied to the judges of Israel during the time recorded in the book of Judges, where Israel had no king or prophets, but was presided over by Judges, who were to help keep rule over the tribes of Israel. The Lord told Moses that he was to be as God to the Jews as he went forth to bring them out of slavery in the land of Egypt.

In Satan’s temptation of Jesus, Satan addresses Him: Matthew 4:6-7 6 "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: "'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'" {6 Psalm 91:11,12} 7 Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'"

- so essentially, Satan, when he tempted Christ, addressing Him as the Son of God, dares Him to throw Himself off a temple to prove it, and have God the Father save him. It seems that Satan has an understanding of the Trinity.

Ali, we have already seen what the demons thought of Jesus, and how they responded to Him. Let’s look at another passage that also shows Jesus’ power over nature.

Matthew 8:24-32 24 Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!" 26 He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. 27 The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!" 28 When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, {28 Some manuscripts Gergesenes; others Gerasenes} two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. 29 "What do you want with us, Son of God?" they shouted. "Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?" 30 Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. 31 The demons begged Jesus, "If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs." 32 He said to them, "Go!" So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water.

2. Evans cited Malachi 3:6, “I the LORD do not change”

The full verse states Malachi 3:6 6 "I the LORD do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.

Taken in context of what the prophet was stating here, the LORD (Yahweh), tells the people of Israel that He does not destroy them for their disobedience because of His covenantal promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God does not change. It means that Yahweh is faithful and true to His promises. God knows the end from before the beginning of creation. He is eternal, and He knows the outcome of the end before the beginning because He is there.

We have seen that in His Incarnation, Jesus emptied Himself of some of His divine attributes, because “He did not consider equality with God a thing to be grasped. Phil. 2:6.” And of course, identifying with humans in every way, by becoming human, God would naturally and freely subject Himself to hunger, tiredness, sleep, etc. To not have these traits is to not be human. But I also wonder if these are “weaknesses,” in that, these are not results of the curse of sin, but God created humans to function and live in this way. In fact, without hunger, we would not know our bodies needed replenishment. And without eating, we would not enjoy great meals that taste really good, that are made from the beauty and bounty of God’s good creation.

1. God is the Essence of Worship – Had Jesus been God, He Would Have Told People to Worship Him.”

The gospels in the New Testament reveal that this was not Jesus’ purpose, to outright declare His divinity. If this had been done, all people would have fallen and worshipped Jesus. In fact, some of the apostles were worshipped for miraculous healings they were performing. But they tore their clothes and told them not to, but to worship the true God, which was Jesus.

Acts 14:11, 14-15 11 When the crowds saw what Paul had done, they raised their voice, saying in the Lycaonian language, "The gods have become like men and have come down to us." 14 But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of it, they tore their robes and rushed out into the crowd, crying out 15 and saying, "Men, why are you doing these things? We are also amen of the same nature as you, and preach the gospel to you that you should turn from these vain things to a living God, WHO MADE THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH AND THE SEA AND ALL THAT IS IN THEM.

Jesus wanted people to respond to Him in faith, not because they had to. God wants a heart of faith, that is humble, gentle and kind.

Isaiah 57:15 15 For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, "I dwell on a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.

But we do see instances where Jesus is given worship by orthodox Jews, and their worship is not refused.

Luke 5:4-9 4 When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, "Put out into the deep water and alet down your nets for a catch." 5 Simon answered and said, "Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing, but 1I will do as You say and let down the nets." 6 When they had done this, they enclosed a great quantity of fish, and their nets began to break; 7 so they signaled to their partners in the other boat for them to come and help them. And they came and filled both of the boats, so that they began to sink. 8 But when Simon Peter saw that, he fell down at Jesus' feet, saying, "Go away from me Lord, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!" 9 For amazement had seized him and all his companions because of the catch of fish which they had taken;

Mark 8:27-31 27 Jesus went out, along with His disciples, to the villages of Caesarea Philippi; and on the way He questioned His disciples, saying to them, "Who do people say that I am?" 28 They told Him, saying, "John the Baptist; and others say Elijah; but others, one of the prophets." 29 And He continued by questioning them, " But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered and said to Him, "You are the Christ." 30 And He warned them to tell no one about Him. 31 And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

Matthew 21:1-11 When they had approached Jerusalem and had come to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them, "Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied there and a colt with her; untie them and bring them to Me. 3 "If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, 'The Lord has need of them,' and immediately he will send them." 4 This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet: 5 "SAY TO THE DAUGHTER OF ZION, 'BEHOLD YOUR KING IS COMING TO YOU, GENTLE, AND MOUNTED ON A DONKEY, EVEN ON A COLT, THE FOAL OF A BEAST OF BURDEN.'" 6 The disciples went and did just as Jesus had instructed them, 7 and brought the donkey and the colt, and laid their coats on them; and He sat on the coats. 8 Most of the crowd spread their coats in the road, and others were cutting branches from the trees and spreading them in the road. 9 The crowds going ahead of Him, and those who followed, were shouting, "Hosanna to the Son of David; BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD; Hosanna in the highest!" 10 When He had entered Jerusalem, all the city was stirred, saying, "Who is this?" 11 And the crowds were saying, "This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth in Galilee."

· Here, we see Jesus is rightly worshipped as the Messiah, and clearly he thought himself a King, by entering on a donkey, as was the tradition of Jewish kings.

John 20:24-29 24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples were saying to him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe." 26 After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, "Peace be with you." 27 Then He said to Thomas, "Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing." 28 Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!" 29 Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed."

I have countered every point that Mr. Evans gave as to why Jesus is not God. And as I have shown that the Bible does indeed teach that Jesus Christ is God Almighty in human flesh, you are presented with a choice. You must either believe and confess Jesus Christ as the living Son of God, or reject this gospel, this good news that God has made a way for you to be forgiven of your sins through the death and resurrection of His Son, who was prophesied and foretold by the Jewish prophets.

1 John 5:9-12 9 If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; for the testimony of God is this, that He has testified concerning His Son. 10 The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. 11 And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
