The Coming of ISON and the Destruction of America?

I'm not sure about you, but I haven't been watching much about comet ISON/Nibiru/Planet X, and maybe I should have!  I am just now getting to sink my teeth into Exo-Vaticana, by Tom Horn... and as I'm voraciously digging into the book, I read near the beginning about another Catholic prophecy.  This time by the German mystic, St. Hildegard.

Now... my wife doesn't like me putting so much value into the prophecies of groups that teach a different Gospel other than scripture.  Let me make this qualifier: The Catholic church began as the holy Church, of which Jesus Christ is the head, but through the years, as the enemy of our souls infiltrated and corrupted the Church for his own purposes and end-times kingdom, the true Gospel was carried on by the Protest-ant believers, protesting against the unbiblical drift of the Catholic church, and its hypocrisy, leading people to hell.  Now, I'm not entirely familiar with St. Hildegard.  I believe St. Malachy was in relationship with Jesus, and had a prophecy from God.  The coming liars may say otherwise.  But, I'm willing to listen to what Hildegard said.

"Before the Comet comes, many nations, the good excepted, will be scoured with want and famine.  The great nation in the ocean that is inhabited by people of different tribes and descent by an earthquake, storm and tidal waves will be devastated.  It will be divided, and in great part submerged.  That nation will also have many misfortunes at sea, and lose its colonies in the east through a Tiger and a Lion."  (Tom Horn, "Prologue,"  Exo-Vaticana, Defender, Crane, MO. c. 2013. p.xxiv.)

Watching videos on YouTube you have to take it with a grain of salt, but I happened on one I think is legit, that spoke on the topic of ISON, and let his listeners know that military dependents were briefed (in the middle of July, 2013, 4-6 weeks window in advance) that they may need to rapidly evacuate the Coastal areas of the U.S. and may bring no more than the contents they could carry on a plane.  The video can be viewed here.

It's interesting enough that the government is giving its militarys' dependants a heads up to be prepared.  These are interesting times we live in. The verse it brought to mind about the time before Messiah Yeshua's return is:  Luke 21:25   25 "There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves.  Could this be what the Verse is referring to?

I do not write this to help facilitate a spirit of fear (2 Tim 1:7).  Fear is sin, and the wages of sin is death/disease/sickness.  My hope is in the Most High, El Elyon, and His soon returning Son, Jesus Christ (Yeshua haMashiach).  We do not live in fear.  The Adonai gave us authority over the demons (Lk. 10:19-20)!

Is The Rapture Of the Jews?

I don't know about you, but when it comes to the timing of the Rapture, through the years I've gone through the gamut of different positions of scriptural teaching.  The real problem is that I couldn't reconcile all of the scriptures.

Over the past several years I moved between Pre-Trib and Mid-Trib (or Pre-Wrath) views.  But through this time, the LORD has been gradually moving me to understand more about the Jewishness of Christianity.  The Apostle Paul  taught in his epic work, Romans, that the Gentile believers are like a wild olive branch, literally grafted into the cultivated tree of Israel (Rom. 11:17-21).

Most who hold to the Pre-Tribulational view of the Rapture see it as a rescue from heaven of essentially the Gentile church, while the Jews go through all the trials of the tribulation and its Psuedo-Christ.  In many ways, the Gentile Church did hijack Christianity!  But when we start looking at it through the lens of the Jewish author, and making it about the covenant promises Yahweh made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, one starts to understand the passages a little more consistently (at least, I feel like that has been my experience).

Most Pre-Trib believers take 1 Thess. 4:16-17 as the basis for their view, and hold that chapter 5 is speaking of a later event, namely Armageddon.  But the one scripture that sounded Post-Tribulational to me, which I could not reconcile within my Pre-Tribulational grid-work, was the passage in Revelation 20:4-5.  It speaks of the aftermath of Christ returning at the end of the 'Seventieth Seven,' the Tribulational period, where Messiah Yeshua defeats the Pseudo-Christ who has taken over the nations of the world.  At this point many believers who were executed/persecuted during the tribulation tiime, are raised to life, and reign with Christ for the 1,000 year reign.  Scripture says that this is the first resurrection.

The sequential timing spelled out in this passage is pretty obvious.  And if we realize that God's fulfillment of his promises of giving the land to the descendants of Israel, did not cease at any point to be about Israel, and pass to the Gentiles, but God is the same yesterday, today and forever.  He is even today dealing with the nations according to the promise to "curse those who curse [Israel] and bless those who bless [Israel] (Gen. 12:3)."

The "Old Covenant" did not die or cease the way that most Gentile believers think that it ended.  The fact that the Jews are reestablishing their Temple, and will resume it, and that the entire world will celebrate the Feast of Booths under the reign of the Messiah (Zech. 14:16)  It was our justification by faith by grace that was fulfilled in Christ.  Yeshua said, "Do not think I came to abolish the law or the prophets.  I did not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them"  (Mt. 5:18).

So when Gentile believers re-awake to the fact that the faith is first and primarily a Jewish faith, we understand that the LORD is not promising to make a special rescue of a privileged group.  God is fulfilling His promises to Abraham.  We are told, the gospel is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes, FIRST THE JEW, then the Gentile (Rom. 1:16).  Yeshua told us "Salvation is of the Jews" (John 4:22).

One of the key scriptural passages that helped me to bring the scriptures together, is Romans 11:15.  Paul teaches us, "If their rejection [of Messiah] is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be, but life from the dead."  For me, this verse was key in reconciling together 1 Thess. 4:16 and Rev. 20.  1 Thess. 4:16 speaks of the dead in Christ rising first, and then the remaining believers being caught up together with them, and Revelation 20 speaks of the first resurrection taking place at the end of the Tribulation.  These are one and the same!  Zechariah 12:10 speaks of Christ returning to save Israel and destroy the nations of the world coming against her.  The LORD, Yahweh, says, "Then they will look on Me, whom they have pierced!"

The Jews will recognize that they crucified their LORD and God, and with the spirit of supplication and grace He pours out on them, the receive Him as their Messiah (Zech. 12:10).  And the result will be life from the dead!

The Return of Yeshua and the Entrance of the Nephilim/Hybrids

Through the past decades and century, there has been much speculation about the timing of the promised return of the Saviour, the Messiah, Yeshua, known as Jesus to most Americans.  One of the reasons there has been so much confusion on this matter (and there are numerous ones, but I shall treat one I feel is fairly major) is that there has been so much of an ideological rejection of the supernatural and spiritual things after the advancement of science ("knowledge") and the "Enlightenment," whereby we were freed from the fetters of the Bible and godliness and righteousness.  Indeed, to give you a taste of how close humanism and humanists are to the unholy, occultist and Satanist Aleister Crowley said in his work, The Book of the Law, "'You shall do as you want' shall be the whole of the Law."  When man became "free" of the Bible, and the laws and morality of the true Creator God Elohyim, he sent himself running headlong into the kingdom of the evil one, whom the Bible calls "the adversary," Satan.

Because of the advancement of human hubris with scientific investigation, divorced from belief in the only true Creator, it gave rise to Higher Criticism, which, on the onset rejecting the supernatural, sought to divest the Bible of the inspired divine aspects.  They continued to claim the name Christian, but denied its power (2 Tim. 3:5).  Today there are many "Christian" churches which reject outright the divinely inspired word of God (2 Tim 4:3-4).  They seek to interpret it "to do as they want," while the claim the name of Christ.  But when we put it that way, it becomes obvious who their true god is (Eph. 2:2).

But now that America is largely void of Biblical teaching and influence, and now that most Christians in America are not truly born again, they have no relationship with Jesus (Jn. 17:3; 14:6), they are awaiting the coming deception, and they will embrace it (2 Thess. 2:11,12).  We see that there is a resurgence in belief in the supernatural and the paranormal, but it is not a Christian/Biblical belief as used to inform the inhabitants of this land.  It is a resurgance of the ancient pagan beliefs that our land was free from, and as missionaries were sent out from America, countries, empires and tribes were transformed and set free from their slaverly to spirits and fairies and trolls and giants which used to make the people live in terror.

And before the flood, Genesis 6 tells us that the b'nei elohyim (sons of God) saw the daughters of men, and took whomever they chose as wives, and produced offspring by them.  These were called the Nephilim, the giants of old, men of reknown.
Genesis 6:4 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

Jesus told his disciples that the time before His return would be as in the days of Noah.  That was when the angels had come down, and angels do not contain reproductive parts as do humans, nor do they have the gift of life in themselves.  Before the flood these rebellious watchers tinkered with the genetic makeup of mankind to produce a seed propheised in the garden of Eden (Gen 3:15).

That is what is happening today.  We do not yet see them walking about openly, but some are already among us.  Others are awaiting release as the (principlaities &) powers of the heavens are shaken (Lk. 21:26).  Dec. 21st was a day of astrological and occult import!  It marked a new time that was in the works, but now it has arrived.  This is why of all the UFO abduction cases, you hear women report they felt as if they had been raped or violated.  And this is why ranchers find slaughtered cattle missing their reproductive organs.  It seems indeed, that they rebellious (fallen) angels are at it again, producing the serpent's seed upon the earth, and getting the world ready for the battle of millenia, the battle of armageddon, where the Bible teaches that the armies of the earth gather around Israel, and have the tenacity and stupidity to conduct battle against the LORD YESHUA and all His armies, as He comes to set the earth aright for 1,000 years, then forever!

God's word is true!  It has offered great benefit to humanity, and sets us free, lets us be forgiven of our sins, and brings us into relationship with our Father who made us for Himself (Jn. 17:3).  If you have never trusted Jesus (Yeshua) as Lord, call on His name.  Confess your sinfulness to Him and your need of Him today, right now!  Call on Him and ask Him into your heart to be your LORD and your SAVIOUR!  Scripture tells us that "Whoever calls on the name of the LORD will be saved!" (Rom. 10:9-10, 13).  Trust Jesus, make Him LORD of your life, and starting reading and learning His word.

The Timing of the Return of Christ

It has become apparent to me that there is some confusion as regards my teachings as to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now certainly I'm no Harold Camping, but I do believe that the signs outlined in scripture, evidenced all around us, bear witness to the fact that Jesus' return is near in God's redemptive plan. As a one who was called into ministry by the LORD, I have a burden for people to know and understand the word of the LORD.

How near is near? It is evangelical belief that the rapture is imminent (meaning nothing has to happen, it could happen now, or next month or in 7 years at the end of the tribulation. Now Jesus, at his first coming, fulfilled the four prophetic Jewish spring feasts. He fulfilled the feast of Passover, crucified as the Passover Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world (Jn. 1:29, Matt 26:2, Lk. 22:7ff). He fulfilled the feast of Unlevened bread (Lk. 22:7) when He was buried and raised three days later (Lk. 24:2). He fulfilled the feast of firstfruits when He rose on the third day from the grave, as a firstfruits (1 Cor. 15:20) of those resurrected to eternal life. And He fulfilled the feast of Pentecost, when He poured out the Holy Spirit on believers who confess His name (Acts 2:1ff).

In 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, it says the Lord will descend from heaven with a shout, the voice of an archangel and the trumpet of God. Mark Bilz, a Messianic Jew and founder of El Shaddai ministries explained in an interview on prophecyinthenews.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isj-eumZnuQ about the feast of Trumpets.

The Feast of Trumpets begins at the sighting of the news moon at the beginning of the month of Tishri, which is late September on the Gregorian calendar we follow (Lev. 23:24). Six pm tonight (Sept. 28, 2011) begins the month of Tishri for the Jewish calendar, where their days run from 6 pm to 6 pm. Since the beginning of the festival begins on the sighting of the new moon, as Pastor Biltz explains, the Jews have a saying, that "no one knows the day nor the hour" of its starting. And when it is sighted, people awake the next morn, their day half over, but the must keep the festival a full day, often running into the 2nd of Tishri, being one long day, so "no one knows the day or the hour" of its coming.

Do we know if the LORD is to return this week, tomorrow, which will be the first, going on the second of Tishri? I believe the LORD's return for the Church in the rapture is imminent. It could happen any time, but when my Messianic Brother teaches these facts about the fall feast of trumpets, I take heed. As believers we are not to despise prophetic utterances, but to examine everything, and hold fast to that which is good (1 Thess. 5:20-21).

I believe that the formation of the one world government prophesied in Dan. 7, which tramples and devours the whole earth (Dan. 7:7-8) is very near. The groundwork is being laid around us, and has been for decades. The groundwork for the battle of Ps. 83 and Ezek. 38 are in the works and appears likely a war will break out in the Middle East, knowing that God's word is truth, and He has declared the end from the beginning. (for a great study resource, see http://www.arewelivinginthelastdays.com/)

Ezek. 39 teaches that it will take Israel seven years to clean up from the destruction of the battle when Russia, Iran and the other countries come against it for battle (Ezek 39:9), and it will take them 7 months to bury all the bodies (Ezek. 39:12). Crises are mounting in the Middle East as we hear of wars and rumors of wars. We have seen Isaiah 19 begin to be fulfilled as the sons of Egypt have turned against one another (Is. 19:2) and it appears that a hard king is coming to rule over them in the likes of the Muslim brotherhood (Is. 19:4)

Is Christ’s return near? Emphatically, I say YES!. Is it going to be this week, tomorrow? I HOPE SO! I’m ready to leave this world of sin and strife, of physical pain, suffering and sorrows. I’m ready to go and be with the LORD forevermore!

Will it be this week? MAYBE. Jesus said Matthew 24:33-34 33 so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. 34 "Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

This generation He was speaking of began in 1948. That was almost a generation ago. But Jesus, the Truth, said this generation will not pass away. The time is close.

Now what happens if Thursday is not the day of the Lord’s return for His people. Then we didn’t understand fully the teaching of the LORD. The evangelical church, who hold to a view in the pre-seven year (in place of “tribulation”) rapture of the church must believe it is coming soon, for the world stage is being set, and the people are being conditioned to accept a “savior” to deliver humanity.  I appears from the events scripture lays out, the coming battles of Ps. 83 & Ezek. 38, that for Yhwh to turn back his focus to the Jews for the 70th seven ("week" or "shabua"; Dan. 9:27) the church will be raptured at least by the timing of the battle of Magog (Ezek. 38).

But if this teaching doesn’t pan out, some believe Christians will live into the time of the seven year treaty heralded by the antichrist. We will applaud the two witnesses when they come to earth from heaven and testify in Jerusalem. We will either be put to death as “domestic terrorists” or will starve to death, not being able to buy or sell because we refuse to take the mark of the one-world leader.

Regardless of which theological, eschatological (end-time) position you hold, hard times are coming. The LORD's prophecies concerning the last days are being fulfilled.  Those who remain upon the earth are going to see the judgments of God poured out upon earth as never before. They are going to see terrors that will literally frighten them to death, and make the drop in their tracks, according to God’s word (Lk. 21:26).

Those who are in Christ? We belong to the Lord, and are looking for the blessed hope and glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good works! Amen, even so, come Lord Jesus.

Why the Rapture Could Happen in 2011

Why is 2011 a Possible Year?

Please turn to Matthew 24.

You know there have been many predictions in our time that the world is going to end. In fact, you probably remember, the most recent one, which made the news, May 21. This turned into a real opportunity for unbelievers to scoff, and gave them another reason to dismiss the gospel message. In fact, Peter warns us of this in 2 Peter 3, he tells us, “In the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own sinful desires. They will say, ‘Where is the promise of his coming?” We saw that with the mockery that filled the airwaves and internet after the rapture failed to take place.

Many here know of Hal Lindsey, who has been involved in teaching on the return of Christ. Back in the late 80’s, he made some claims that the rapture was about to occur. Obviously, it didn’t come true, and he has since repented and no longer names dates, though he continues in ministry about the end times. Going back even further, in the 60’s there were claims that the rapture would take place.

Why is it that so many of these claims have been made? Well, these expectations are set upon the signs and information that Jesus gave his disciples in Matthew 24. 2 Tim 2:15 tells us that it is God’s will that we be able to rightly divide (or correctly interpret) the word of truth, so let’s look a little closer at Matthew 24.

In Matthew 24 Jesus names a number of signs that will chacterize the world just before His return.

1.) He speaks of the increase of false prophets/teachers and people claiming to be the Messiah, or World Savior.

a. David Koresh

b. Sergei Torop (Russian incarnation of Jesus)

c. Mohammed - proclaiming the Mahdi

d. Joseph Smith - Mormons/ LDS

e. The Maitreya – “World Teacher,” proclaimed by New Agers

2.) Then He says we will hear of wars and rumors of wars. Anyone heard of that lately? Presently, our world has been completely filled with wars and people revolting against their leaders, even in States here in the U.S.!

a. War in Iraq

b. War in Afghanistan

c. War threatened with Iran

d. Massacre of Christians in Nigeria (and other Muslim countries)

e. Egypt - Isaiah 19

f. Arab Spring (Syria, Tunisia, Libya, etc.)

3.) Thirdly, he speaks of natural disasters, earthquakes and famines that happen in various places. Luke adds in Luke 21 that there will be pestilences, terrors and great signs from heaven. He also says that there will be “distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves.”

4.) Lawlessness will increase, and the love of most will grow cold. But in this time, the gospel will be preached throughout the world.

Just looking around we can see that these signs are happening around us more and more every day, with even the Bible belt of America being some of the places hardest hit. After describing these events in Matt. 24, he tells of some events in the heavens that will herald his very soon coming, and then He speaks of His return with His angels to gather His elect.

Jesus tells us that when we see all these things occurring, that we can be sure his coming is near. Next He says, “Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.” (Matt. 24:34).

Here’s where the dilemmas comes in.

What generation is the LORD speaking of? If we look back at the beginning of ch. 24, we see that His disciples are asking when is Jesus’ return and the end of the world. Now for a Jew, that phrase understands that God is fulfilling His promise to Abraham, that He is giving the Promised Land to the Jewish nation, and exalting the Jews above all the nations, in order to bring glory and praises to His name, according to His faithfulness to fulfill and keep the promises made to the Jewish patriarchs.

So the nation of Israel must be in existence for these events to take place. So we can draw from this that he is speaking to the generation being born when the nation of Israel comes back together. The nation of Israel was reinstated by the United Nations in 1948. If you get anything from this message this morning, let it be this: Israel is God’s time clock concerning the working out of redemption in human history.

The next question is, “How long is a generation?” This is primarily why there have been so many claims for the rapture, but have resulted in disappointment and crushed the hopes of many. What did the LORD mean by generation. Did he mean 40 years, by which the Israelites were condemned to wander in the wilderness for 40 years, till that generation died out? Well, 1948 plus 40 years would put it at 1988. Sound familiar to anyone in here?

How about 60 years? That would put the timing of the rapture at 2008… but that time too is past so it couldn’t have been then.

In my readings one day, I was reading through Psalm 90, and I came across verse 10: “The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty, yet their span is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away.”

I was preparing for these Sunday evening sermon, I came across a verse in Gen 15 which defines a generation as 100 years. Now if that were the true meaning of “generation”, it would shoot this sermon in the foot! What is a pastor to do!? Ha ha… fortunately, we can look around us and see that the sense of Moses’ Psalm is more accurate. Not many Americans live to be 100 years old. In fact, a recent report came out by the Center for Disease Control saying that Americans live on average to be about 77.9 years old.

This Psalm spoken by Moses, I believe is key to understanding Matt. 24. This verse, spoken by Moses, assumes that the normal lifespan for a man to live is 70 years. And He says, “if due to strength, 80 years.” If we take 1948, the year Israel became a nation-state, and add 70 years, we get 2018. So if the assumption of 70 years is correct, that places the return of Jesus at 2018. But the Bible teaches us in Daniel 9 that the prince who is to come, will make a strong covenant with the many for one week, or one ‘SEVEN,’ that is, one period of 7 years which is known to the Jews as a shvua.

We are told that this “Prince who is to come,” the antichrist, will reign for a seven year period. If Christ is going to return in 2018, then that means that the Antichrist or One-World leader must begin his reign soon, because 2018 minus seven years brings it to the year 2011. If it is indeed 80 years when Christ returns, that would put the emergence and reign of the Antichrist at 2021.

This one world ruler will be heralded because of his solution of peace in the Middle-East. He will successfully bring a seven-year peace treaty. The U.S. and other nations are increasingly pressuring Israel to cave to the demands of Muslims who want the Israeli nation destroyed, in the words of their leaders, “Wiped off the Map!”

President Obama himself stated in 2010, and again in May of this year, that he hoped to have a two-state solution for Palestine and the Jews in place by September of this year. There is a BIG PUSH for peace in the Middle-East right now.

But this effort to divide Israel has been in motion for some time now, and even conservative president Bush played a part in trying to divide Israel. Remember Hurricane Katrina under President Bush’s watch? God promised Abraham: “I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you” (Gen 12:3). . The Bush administration was working on removing the control of Israel and the Israeli settlements from the Gaza strip. Hurricane Katrina was a direct judgment from God on America for cursing Israel

Jesus said that no man knows the day nor the hour of His return, but He commanded us to recognize the signs of the times, saying that when we see these things, to lift up our heads, for our salvation is near!

Have you ever heard of the New Age religion? It’s everywhere today, though it is not new. It’s as old as Satan’s appearance in the garden of Eden. The New Age teaches that we are all gods, that we are all part of God. The penetration of this religion was accelerated through the Beatles embrace of eastern religions and promoting yoga (Goodfight.com, They Sold Their Souls For Rock & Roll), which is the Hindu worship of false gods, which Paul tells us are demons… It’s promoted so much now by culture sometimes you find this Hindu idolatry taking place in some Southern Baptist Churches!

Another aspect of the New Age religion is that it encourages getting in touch with your “higher-self” or your spirit guide. Disney is even putting out movies now that make light of people having their own ‘spirit-guides.’ Young people, there are no spirit guides. Scripture tells us that it is appointed once for a man to die, then face judgment (Heb. 9:8)! These channelers, and ‘ascended masters’ that the New Agers are contacting out there are nothing but demons, lying spirits that pose as angels of light.

Some Green-friendly New-Age websites teach about a coming cleansing of Mother Earth, that she is going to cleanse herself of all those of people who have an “intolerant” vibrational frequency. I don’t know what frequency you’re tuned to, but I’m tuned to 104.1, k-love! Haha These New Age websites refer to those who uphold Christian beliefs and values workers of darkness, and those who teach that we are all part of God, and every one of us is a “Christ,” the proclaim as workers of light.  The Biblical definitions of "Light" and "Darkness" have been flipped on its head (1 Jn. 1:5).

Other New Age websites tell there is a day coming soon, when an advanced alien civilization from far far away, will zip in close at the speed of light, hover near the earth, and then we will hear a loud sound. Then, all of a sudden millions of people will disappear off the face of the earth!

(And we’re supposed to be the weird ones!)

They will supposedly be taken to another galaxy or universe for rehabilitation, while humanity makes it’s next “evolutionary jump” into God-consciousness, just like Oprah and Shirley Maclaine said. I don’t know about you, but it sounds a lot to me like the demons are getting ready for the rapture, so they can keep on deceiving!

The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

Barbara Marciniak, a New Age author, says in her book “Bringers of the Dawn”:

“The people who leave the planet during the time of Earth changes do not fit in here any longer, and They are stopping the harmony of Earth. When the time comes that perhaps 20 million people leave the planet at one time there will be a tremendous shift in consciousness for those who are remaining.” Barbara Marciniak, “Bringers of the Dawn.

Will 2011 be the year of the rapture? Will this be the year for a peace treaty initiated by Antichrist? September is coming fast. Only time will tell. But if it is not, it still will not destroy my faith. God’s word has been and continues to be fulfilled perfectly, and He will fulfill His word in His perfect timing. We only must obey His word, and be faithful to His calling on our lives.

Many Christians disagree as to when or even if the rapture is going to happen. And that’s okay. Your belief concerning the rapture has nothing to do with your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. Some think that the rapture is going to be pre-Wrath, that is, in the middle of the seven year reign of the Antichrist. Some think that it is going to be Post-tribulational, at the end of Antichrist’s reign, as Christ returns in the sky, he will collect and transform all the saints.

But I think that the fact the demons are preparing a deception at this stage for the disappearance of (according to John Randolf Pierce’s spirit guide,) 2 billion, this is a great argument for the Pre-Trib position, because evidently the demons believe it too, and they are preparing those in “harmony” with their teachings that it is going to happen soon!

But let us remember, regardless of what day or year the LORD returns, if you do not have a personal relationship with the One who came and shed his own blood for your sins, you could meet the LORD on your way home in a wreck, or die in a housefire. No one today is promised tomorrow, and none of us knows when our life is required of us.

Jesus defined eternal life for us in John 17:3, “This is eternal life, that they might know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” Here he defines eternal life as a relationship, knowing God personally.

I tell the youth, if you are not spending time daily reading the Bible and in prayer, you are probably not saved.

The apostle Paul tells us in 2 Cor 13:5, “Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith: examine yourselves… do you not realize that Christ is in you, unless you fail the test?

If I were to ask you today, do you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? Would you say to me that you were sure of it? Jesus said on the day of judgment that many who come to him saying, “Lord, Lord,’ will not enter the kingdom of heaven. He will tell them, depart from me you workers of iniquity, I never KNEW you!” Does he know you? If not, cry out to Him with a repentant heart, and ask Him to save you. And keep crying out, keep praying, till he transforms you into a new creation (2 Cor. 5:17).

Celebration of Advent

Advent Prophecies:

Yesterday we just got to celebrate our Lord’s first coming to the earth, which is known as the first advent. We had just checked out a movie from the library called Messianic Prophecy Fulfilled. It was a really good Christian movie, and a real clear presentation of the gospel. It was about a Jewish family one year after Christ had been crucified, raised and ascended to the Father. This family, one year later, was celebrating the next Passover meal, and the eldest brother of this family, Yuda, was a rabbinic priest by training, but had believed Yeshusa is the Messiah, the fulfillment of scriptures. And in the movie, he leads his family and relatives through the Passover Seder, and describes how Jesus is the fulfillment of the Seder.

This was a very encouraging movie, only 50 minutes, but an excellent explanation of the gospel and how Jesus is God’s predicted Messiah.

Today many people talk about Jesus and seem to like the example of his life. In fact, heretical emerging church leaders, Dan Kimball wrote a book called They like Jesus but they Don’t like the Church. But the person these people are talking about is not a Jesus described in the Bible, but a new age Jesus who is a teacher only. Many new-agers, including Oprah Winfrey, tell us that Jesus came to show us how to reach the spark of divinity that is within all of us. He came to teach us that we are all God, they say.

But He didn’t come for that. He did come to open a way to be rightly restored in our relationships to God, but He did it in accordance with God’s Law given under the Old Covenant, or Testament, and in accord with the prophecies given by the Jewish prophets of old, who gave us the Old Testament. Romans 3:21 says 21 But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets.

When Jesus came the first time, he fulfilled many of the prophecies of Messiah, but not all of them. This is the reason why so many of the Jews did not believe Jesus was the true Messiah. He was not the political deliverer that they expected to deliver them from the Roman empire.

Let’s look at some of the prophecies that he did fulfill. Turn to Isaiah 7:14.

Virgin Birth

14 "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel . Isaiah 7:14 (NASB95)

- Jesus is described in the Gospels as being born of the young, virgin girl Mary, and being the Son of God. So it can literally be understood that He is “God with Us.”

Born in Bethlehem

2 "But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity." Micah 5:2 (NASB95)

- Matt. 2:5-6 credit Christ’s birth in Bethlehem as a fulfillment of Micah’s prediction.

Born of the tribe of Judah:

10 "The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes, And to him shall be the obedience of the peoples. Gen 49:10

- Being born of the tribe of Judah is shown fulfilled in Luke 3:23-24 and in Matt. 1:1-16.

Messiah a Descendent of King David

"The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will raise up to David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land. Jer. 23:5

- We see this fulfilled in the genealogies in Matthew in Luke. Some scholars think Matt. is Jesus’ legal line through his adoptive father Joseph, while Luke is through his mother Mary.

It was prophesied that He would work many Miracles: 5 Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. 6 Then the lame will leap like a deer, And the tongue of the mute will shout for joy. Isaiah 35:5-6 (NASB95)

Fulfillments:

John 4:46-54 – Healing of Royal Officals son

Mark 1:21-28; Luke 4:33-37 – Healing of a Demon Possessed Man

Matt. 8:1-3; Mk. 1:40-42 – Healing a Leper

Matt. 9:1-8; Mk. 2:1-2; Lk. 5:18-26 – Healing of a Paralytic

So we see some of the predictions that Christ fulfilled with his birth and life. There are more fulfilled by his death on the cross, such as Ps. 22 that speaks of his crucifixion and the gambling for his clothes, Ps. 16:10 that speaks of his resurrection, and probably one of the greatest that is not completely fulfilled yet, is Isaiah 52:13 through the end of 53, which foretells in some detail of his substitutionary death on the cross, and the justification of many sinners through this act on the cross. This is probably the greatest prophesy of the Messiah as what is known as a “suffering servant.” The Jews could not reconcile how their Messiah could be a king and political ruler, ruling with such impressive majesty and justice over the entire world, and yet be a suffering servant, suffering affliction at the hands of sinful men. And when the Jewish rulers of his day looked at Jesus, they did not see a king who was earnest to establish Jewish rule.

But we are blessed, who live at the end of the ages. We look around us, and see all the prophecies being fulfilled leading to the Messiah’s second coming. If you remember the time-line I made for you, showing the events leading up to the Messiah’s final return according to the Bible. Scripture indicates a war that will set Israel above the enemy nations around her, give Israel security, and expand her borders. This is Psalm 83. It could be the same as the famed “battle of Magog,” which scholars down through the centuries have believed will be Russia coming out of the north, allied with Muslim countries to rule Israel. The groundwork for Ezek. 38 is quickly falling into place as well. So it could turn out to be one Ginormous battle of the ages, to usher in a brief time of peace unknown to the Jews for centuries, ruled by one man we know as Antichrist.

So let’s look at some of the prophecies containing the Messiah’s second advent, or coming. Turn with me if you will to Micah chapter 4:1-4:

Micah 4:1-4

Isaiah 9:6-7

Zechariah 8:1-8, 20-23

Zech. 14:9-11

We can see in these passages why the Jews had such trouble believing that Yeshua was Messiah, or why his disciples were confused why He didn’t restore the kingdom from Roman rule. These passages speak of a glorious reign of Messiah over the nations in peace and righteousness, and for the most part, most of the world will follow Messiah’s rule. Isaiah 11 also describes the conditions living under the rule of Messiah, and verse 10 tells us:

10 Then in that day The nations will resort to the root of Jesse, Who will stand as a signal for the peoples; And His resting place will be glorious. Isaiah 11:10 (NASB95)

Under the rule of Messiah Yeshua, we see that the effects of the curse are largely going to be reversed. We are told in Isaiah 65:20-22

20 "No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, Or an old man who does not live out his days; For the youth will die at the age of one hundred And the one who does not reach the age of one hundred Will be thought accursed. 21 "They will build houses and inhabit them; They will also plant vineyards and eat their fruit. 22 "They will not build and another inhabit, They will not plant and another eat; For as the lifetime of a tree, so will be the days of My people, And My chosen ones will wear out the work of their hands. Isaiah 65:20-22 (NASB95)

But earlier in the chapter, He speaks of those who forsake His ways, and do not regard His word:

11 "But you who forsake the LORD,

Who forget My holy mountain,

Who set a table for Fortune ,

And who fill cups with mixed wine for Destiny , 12 I will destine you for the sword,

And all of you will bow down to the slaughter.

Because I called, but you did not answer;

I spoke, but you did not hear.

And you did evil in My sight

And chose that in which I did not delight."

Isaiah 65:11-12 (NASB95)

And as is fitting, the last chapter of Isaiah closes with a summary picture of the Messiah’s rule, and the dreadful fate that awaits those who have not been born-again by the Lord’s grace. There is a picture of Hell unparalleled in the scriptures:

23 "And it shall be from new moon to new moon

And from sabbath to sabbath,

All mankind will come to bow down before Me," says the LORD. 24 "Then they will go forth and look

On the corpses of the men

Who have transgressed against Me.

For their worm will not die

And their fire will not be quenched;

And they will be an abhorrence to all mankind ."

Isaiah 66:22-24 (NASB95)

The LORD’s return is near, though none of us are promised tomorrow. Last weekend Tara and I almost lost little Elijah!

If you have never been born again, you need to seek the LORD in His word, and pray that He might save you from the eternal terrors of hell. Jesus Himself said that “unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God!” The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. And God demonstrates His love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us! “Every man who is in Christ is a new creation; the old has gone, behold, all things have become new!” (2 Cor. 5:17) One who is born again can say, “I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me nad gave Himself for me!” Gal. 2:20.
