Will Turkey Build the Third Temple?

Is the third Temple finally ready to be built.  It indeed seems that Israel has struck a deal with Turkey to build the third temple.  At Israeli News Live, Stepehen Ben Nun reports on this unfolding situation, and you see in the news clip how the Jewish diplomat exalts and almost bows to this Turkish ruler (the Mahdi/Antichrist?). 

Whose Identity is More Important, the Man, or His Lawlessness?

In recent months, something has become more and more apparent to me, as countless people through the pas decades and centuries have been named or considered as candidates of the Antichrist, that there are any number of people who could be that person... but to what avail is identifying him before hand?  In that day it will be evident enough!


What is more important, I think, is being able to identify the Lawlessness to which he is ascribed (2 Thess. 2:3).  This seems to be a topic that is largely untouched by the mainstream church, and much to its own detriment!  Biblically speaking, this is not a hard topic to figure out.  But I think because of its blinders towards the Law of Yahweh, the modern church cannot see it, and again, much to its peril!


For the student of scripture, they know that Law, as translated in most English bibles, is the translation of the word "Torah" in Hebrew, which more accurately means, "Instruction" rather than "Law".  Through certainly the past century, there has been a gradual drifting away from the Law within the church as binding upon believers lives.  Gradually people began less and less to see the world upheld and governed by the Laws of God, and more and more of a Gentile understanding that Jesus came to set us free from the Law, because it is a "ministry of death, written on tablets of stone" (2 Cor. 3:7).


This is an example of a Gentile (non-Hebraic) misunderstanding of scriptures.  Of course the Law (Torah) is a ministry of death to people, because of our sinful nature and attitudes.  We would much rather follow the law of Crawley, "Do as thou wilt..." rather than keep the Law of Yahweh, whose very words are life:


Deuteronomy 30:15-20 ¹⁵ "See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity; ¹⁶ in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the LORD your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it. ¹⁷ "But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, ¹⁸ I declare to you today that you shall surely perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess it. ¹⁹ "I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, ²⁰ by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them."


So we see from the Torah, in Dt. 30, that Yahweh commands his covenant people, the Israelites, and the sojourners among them, that His word is life!  To obey Yahweh's word is life and prosperity, and to deny it, to disobey it, is death and adversity.  And so we see the proclaimed Church in the world, proclaiming that we have been set free from the Law by the very one who claimed to be the Word of Elohim in the flesh, the Messiah, Son of David.


But what did Yeshua teach?  He taught:


Matthew 5:17-19 ¹⁷ "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. ¹⁸ "For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. ¹⁹ "Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.


Yeshua said that He did not come to abolish the Torah, but to fulfill it.  And he did fulfill some of it, known as the Spring feasts (mo'edim).  But he is still to fulfill the Fall feasts!  That is, "until heaven and earth pass away, not the [least part] shall pass from the Torah, till all is accomplished!


Did anyone see if heaven and earth passed away yet?  Oh wait, ok, we're all sitting here, the heavens and earth are still all around us.  Ok, it didn't pass away.  Whew!  I'm so relieved!  Aren't you?  So why then do we think the Torah passed away?  Can anyone say Gentile Dummies?  Yes, that is what we are, and have been for the past two thousand years! Because in our anti-Semitic bias, we have refused to see it, and we have spurned, and kicked against the word of God, all the while proclaiming a love for God and his people (except the Jews, His people).


For two thousand years, we have had Gentile leaders of a Semitic religion.  The Gentiles really did hi-jack Christianity, and morphed it into our anti-Semitic, Greek/Roman/Babylonian form!  And so that brings me back around to the theme of the blog, whose identity is more important, the man, or his lawlessness?


I think as a follower of Messiah Yeshua, my brother and king from Judah (yes, he was a Jew, not a Palestinian), that identifying the Lawlessness is far more important, especially when God's word, and obedience to it are life!  Didn't Peter say to his rabbi, "To whom shall we go?  You have the words of life!"  For the orthodox Jew, this has the ring of Torah (Deuternomy 30) to it, and again, a Messianic confession!


The apostle John, the beloved of Yeshua, warned his readers about the spirit of lawlessness in his day:


1 John 2:18-19 ¹⁸ Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. ¹⁹ They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us.
1 John 2:22 ²² Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.


In my Gentile understanding, brought in a Southern Baptist church, I used to think that this meant those who had left the Church, that is, the Protestant Church.  Now, understanding that "the secret of Yhwh is for those who fear Him, and to them He makes known His Covenant (Ps. 25:14)," I see that the Jewish apostle was writing of those who were "leaving the Church" of his day, those who were turning away from the sound doctrines of scripture, that is, Torah/Tanak.  John tells us that they had/have a spirit of antichrist!  He tells us in 3:4 that sin is lawlessness (torah-lessness)! 


So today, what do we have in most churches across America?  We have the spirit of antichrist, the spirit of lawlessness, where the pastors proclaim confidently and unashamedly to turn people away from the Law of the Most High, through which He will reign again upon His return (cf. Ezek. 40-48).


The Great Deceiver in our midst has already proclaimed that the Cross is to no avail, and it "did not work!"  And he is gathering all his children to him already! 


So how about you?  Are you in a church where they proclaim Jesus set us free from following the Law (Torah)?  You should flee from there, get yourself into a congregation of believers who want to keep the instruction of Yahweh, who want to keep His word, His Sabbath, and His Mo'edim, as He proclaims in His word!  Are you a pastor preparing people to accept the anti-Messiah, and his doctrine of lawlessness?  Even most of America's big-name, celebrity preachers are doing so, leading people astray, they are wolves in sheeps clothing, ravening the sheep.

Alexis The Great, Hope Of Greece, Europe And The World?

This is a great article by Cynthia Nuara from Raptureready.com.  It talks about a good contender (even more so than BHO) for the man of Torah-lessness!  One striking thing which I had not considered is the similarity of his surname with the ancient Greek God, derived from Babylon, going back to Nimrod.

Jesus and His prophets told us the signs to look for so we would know when we’re in the times of the signs.  While we’re praying and witnessing to others about Christ, we must also be His watchmen.  In order to do that, we need to keep abreast of current events. 

That said, just what is it about Greece’s new prime minister that has elevated him to idol status by those who elected him, induced fear within the European Union, and perked up the ears of Bible prophecy students and experts? 

A few prophecy watchers along with some others began to take notice of him over 2 ½ years ago. 

From The Washington Post on June 15, 2012, Greek Election: Candidate Alexis Tsipris Hopes An Earthquake Will Shake The Euro Zone Sunday: 

“His student movement was called ‘The Earthquake,’ and that’s what many worry will be felt if he becomes prime minister in a Sunday election… Syriza (Tsipras’ party) leaders say he will effectively nationalize the country’s banks. ‘On Sunday, the old world will die,’ Tsipras said.

Invoking what has become Greece’s modern version of a mythic beast — the ‘memorandum’ that lays out the strict conditions for the country’s bailout loans — he made clear what will happen if Syriza wins enough parliamentary seats to form a government.  He said, ‘This will be a historic change for Greece and Europe…The memorandum is coming to an end.’”

‘Tsipras’ rise ‘is a mistake that’s about to become a tragedy,’ said Chrisanthos Lazaridis, a New Democracy candidate.’” --- WashingtonPost.com (2012).

From the Greek website TO BHMA, Tsipras, The Hope of Greece, Europe and Rest of World? May 17, 2013:

“Alexis Tsipras’ trip to Croatia for the 6th Subversive Forum…has been deemed a success, as the Greek Opposition leader managed to impress audience and speakers alike... Perhaps the greatest compliments, with the greatest media impact, were made by American director Oliver Stone, who not only declared Mr. Tsipras to be ‘the future Prime Minister of Greece’ but also ‘the hope of Greece, Europe and the rest of the world.’” ---  TO BHMA, Tovina.gr (2013)

In a google search you’ll find articles claiming Tsipras and his Syriza party are funded by billionaire global elitist, George Soros, who has paid for Tsiparis to travel around to speaking engagements.  Soros opened a solidarity center in Thessalonica, Greece a year ago to help those who are in need of charity, and he’s helped schools and orphanages, etc.  But there are some who question his motives.

From BBC.com, Greek Radical Left Syriza Prepares for Power Under Tsipras: “Critics see Tsipras as arrogant, inexperienced and power hungry - a maverick politician willing to sacrifice Greece to rise to power.”

If you haven’t read Terry James’ Feb.2, 2015 Nearing Midnight article at Rapture Ready titled Antichrist Archetype Emerges, you should.  Here is an excerpt:

“…There has surfaced, in my view at least, an archetype of the leader to come who will be the first beast of Revelation 13.  This generation is not yet in the Tribulation, but is experiencing precursors to that last seven years that makes us know that a time of unprecedented troubles is just ahead.  Likewise, a leader has arisen from the area of the reviving Roman Empire, one whose emergence makes the observant Bible prophecy student suspect ever more assuredly that Antichrist is waiting in the shadows of the immediate future.

No person, place or thing on Earth should be idolized, yet man has always sought to worship everything but God.  There is one false god in particular that seems to have been worshiped in one form or another since time began.  Let’s learn about how this “god” transformed through the centuries, and then I’ll get back to my profile of Alexis Tsiparis.

In ancient Greece they worshiped the false god Zaparrus (also called Sarapis or Serapis).  In actuality this god was a composite of all the false gods that were worshiped going back to Babylon.  This god was referred to as king of the deep, god of the underworld, lord of heaven, one who signified abundance, and even resurrection. 

The Babylonian god Ea (Enki) was titled Serapsi, which means king of the deep. Serapis was a combination of deities derived from the worship of the Egyptian Osiris and Apis (Osiris + Apis = Oserapis/Serapis). 

In an effort to unify Egyptians and Greeks under his realm, Ptolemy I changed the appearance of the statue of this god.  It was depicted as Greek in appearance, but with Egyptian trappings.  However, it had combined iconography from a great many cults.

The following is from Macrobius’ early 5^th century book Saturnalia. 

"In the city on the borders of Egypt which boasts Alexander [the Great] of Macedon as its founder, Sarapis and Isis are worshiped with a reverence that is almost fanatical. Evidence that the sun, under the name of Sarapis, is the object of all this reverence is either the basket set on the head of the god or the figure of a three-headed creature placed by his statue.  The middle head of this figure, which is also the largest, represents a lion's; on the right a dog raises its head with a gentle and fawning air; and on the left the neck ends in the head of a ravening wolf.  All three beasts are joined together by the coils of a serpent whose head returns to the god's right hand, which keeps the monster in check." --- Macrobius Ambrosius Theodosius, 5^th century

A temple of Sarapis (or Roman Serapis) in Egypt is mentioned in 323 BC by Plutarch in Life of Alexander [the Great].  Serapis had a temple (called a serapeium or serapeium) in Babylon where Alexander the Great died.  This god was considered of such importance that it alone was consulted on behalf of this dying king who ruled the Greek kingdom of Macedon.  He was the conqueror of many lands.  Many cities were named after him.  He sought to reach the "ends of the world and the Great Outer Sea" but died a month before the age of 33.

Serapis continued to increase in popularity during the Roman period, often replacing Osiris as the consort of Isis in temples outside Egypt.  In 385 AD a Christian mob destroyed the Serapeium of Alexander.  But the Serapis cult survived until all forms of pagan religion were banned under the Theodisian decree in 391.

Some have actually tried to draw parallels between worship of this false god and our Messiah, Christ Jesus.  Of course this is just another atheistic approach to deny that the God of the Bible is real.

Okay; that’s enough about Serapis, Sarapis, or Zapparus.  Let’s get back to Tsipras:

The Italian left is supportive of him. Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, who is also from a left-wing party and whose country is also in debt with high unemployment, said “All of Europe is watching the new Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.” 

When Renzi presented Tsipras with a black tie he said, “I promise I will wear it when we find a viable solution for Europe."  He never wears ties during meetings with leaders and won’t until then.

From the website, Italy 24: “Italy should always pay attention to the ‘G’ factor -- G as in Greece.  This starts with geographic and historic reasons, but is even more relevant today especially for ‘Hurricane’ Tsipras, hitting Europe again and leaning on our door.”

President Obama called to express his support for Tsipras and his government’s controversial drive against austerity in Europe, but not everyone shares the joy. The following excerpt is from Spiegel Online International:  Merkel's Unintended Creation:  Could Tsipras' Win Upset Balance of Power in Europe?

“Alexis Tsipras couldn't have picked a more symbolic place to show his voters that he is a prime minister like no other Greece has seen before…Alexis Tsipras, 40, the youngest prime minister in Greek (modern) history, also intends to be its most unusual leader -- a man of the people who is determined to fundamentally change his country…Tsipras' fans revere him as a rebel.  Many Greeks see him as a man who has what it takes to free them from oppression.  At the same time, many Germans see him as a terrifying extremist.

His rise to power cannot be explained without a deep understanding of the frustration that Europe's policy of austerity has sparked… Europe is gazing with a mixture of fascination and horror at the new strongman in Athens.

‘There is no reason not to like him when you meet him,’ says author Petros Tatsopoulos, who left Syriza early last year following controversial comments he made regarding the party's stance on terrorism.  People in Berlin government circles likewise say that he has ‘charisma’ and handles himself well in public…They (Greeks) describe Tsipras as a clever, good looking champion of the people who is particularly attractive to female voters. ‘Sexy Alexi’ is one of his nicknames in Greece.’” ---- Speigel Online International

Within hours of taking office, Tsipras made the Russian ambassador his first foreign visitor, and has openly opposed further economic sanctions against Russia. The very next day he visited the envoy to China.  "We are coming in to radically change the way that policies and administration are conducted in this country," he said. 

Tsipras is Europe's first left-wing leader to be invited to the Vatican.  He met with the pope in September 2014, following months of secret negotiations, and he brought the pope an olive branch.  They both share in the global warming aka Global Governance agenda.  They both saw eye-to-eye on issues such as banks, profits and the need for Europe's left to expand its dialogue with the church. Tsipras, a self-described atheist, said, "We come from different ideological starting points, but we meet on pan-human values."

Tsipras says it’s time for the European left to build bridges with the church – a time to form “an ecumenical alliance.”

More About Tsipras

Alexis Tsipras was born in Greece on July 28, 1974.  Interestingly, that’s one week after the birth date of Alexander the Great. (July 20 or 21, 356 BC).  His family’s roots are in Eastern Thrace, also known as Turkish Thrace or European Turkey, in Southeast Europe.  Thrace was part of the ancient kingdom once ruled by Alexander the Great. 

As a teen in the late 80s, he joined the Communist Youth of Greece.  As a college student he moved over to the Youth of the Coalition of the Left, where he made his presence known.

In 2008 at age 33, Tsipras became the president of The Coalition of Left, of Movements and Ecology, commonly known as Synaspismos, or more simply as SYN.  SYN is the largest group in the Coalition of the Radical Left –Syriza. Syriza has been characterized as an anti-establishment party whose success has sent shock-waves across the EU.

In 2012 Tsipras’ Syriza party became the second largest party in the Greek parliament and the main opposition party.  

In December 2013 Tsipras was the first candidate nominated by the European Left for the position of President of the Commission of the European Union.  He didn’t win that seat, but a facebook page is still up that says “Alexis Tsipras, Candidate for EU Commission President.”  Also, there is a facebook group in Italian that says (translated to English), “President of the European Commission.” I guess they’re still hoping.

In 2014 Syriza become the most popular party in Greece.

On January 25, 2015, in a snap election, he became the youngest Prime Minister in modern Greek history and--being an atheist--the first to take a civil instead of a religious oath of office. 

Tsiparis views himself as being at the helm of a broader movement against austerity policies that, as he says, “will spread across the entire Continent.”

He has never married (he’s against the institution of marriage) but lives with a woman he’s known since the age of 13.  He keeps his private life very private, and rarely is she seen in public with him.  They have two children.

Speaking of marriage, he is a strong supporter of same-sex marriage.

From The Huffington Post, What You Need To Know About Alexis Tsipras, The Greek Leader Who Wants To Change Europe: 

“Some in politics would say Tsipras is a ‘sprinter,’ since he managed to accomplish in a short period of time what others have worked for their entire lives.  While the economic crisis and the indignation of the Greek people have been important factors in Tsipras' rise and the success of Syriza, the Greek Parliament's youngest party leader distinguished himself on the political scene early on.  Even today, his political opponents belligerently bring up his political actions as a ‘kid.’” --- HuffingtonPost.com 

From the Jerusalem Post, Analysis: The Victory of Syriza in Greece is Bad News For Israel:

“Syriza’s ranks include an array of leftists ranging from Marxists to Greens.  The party has constantly identified itself with the Palestinian cause and its program includes a demand for abolition of Greece’s military cooperation with Israel and the support for the creation of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders.  Last year, Tsipras stated that ‘the world should make every possible effort so that Israel ends its criminal attack and brutality against Palestinians.’ --- JPost.com

Tsipras intends to implement his Thessaloniki Programme “to end the humanitarian crisis.”  At the European level, this programme demands a "European New Deal" that Tsipras says is non-negotiable.  He’s warned the markets that they will have to "dance to the tune" of a Syriza government.

Thessaloniki, also known as Thessalonica, has an interesting history.  The city was named for Princess Thessalonike of Macedon, the half sister of Alexander the Great. 

It became the capital of one of the four Roman districts of Macedonia.  Later it became the capital of all the Greek provinces of the Roman Empire.  When the Empire was divided into the tetrarchy, Thessalonica became the administrative capital of one of the four portions of the Empire.

From Wikipedia.org:  “Thessalonica was so important to Adolf Hitler that he planned to make it part of Germany.  In 1943 the Nazis began brutal, inhumane actions against the historic Jewish population in Thessalonica, forcing them into a ghetto near the railroad lines and beginning deportation to concentration and labor camps where they dehumanized their captives.  They deported and exterminated approximately 96% of Thessalonica’s Jews of all ages during the Holocaust.”

Thessalonica was also an important center for the spread of Christianity: 

·         The apostle Paul started a church there. 

·         His First Epistle to the Thessalonians is said to be the first written book of the New Testament. 

·         Paul was pleased that those in this church of Thessalonica had turned from worshiping false gods (1 Thessalonians 1:9-10). 

·         He preached to them about the Rapture ((1Thessalonians 4:13-18).

·         He preached to them about the coming wrath against the ungodly in The Day of the Lord, and explained to the church that they were not destined for wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:1-11).

·         Paul preached more about the Antichrist in Thessalonians than anywhere (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12). 

·         He told them to stand firm in their Christian faith (2 Thessalonians 2:13-17).

To Greece, to all of Europe, and to the entire world:  Our hope isn’t with man, but with our Blessed Hope, Christ Jesus, who came to Earth to die in our place so that we might be saved!  Let us pray for the lost to put their trust in Him while there is yet time, for the hour is late. 

“Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming; even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour” (1 John 2:18).

Yes, Alexis Tsiparis is an antichrist archetype.  Even if he didn’t have any other characteristics of an antichrist, the fact that he’s an atheist makes him one according to God’s Word in 1 John 2:22.

The one who is THE Antichrist is surely hiding in plain sight at this point in time, as is The False Prophet.  Those who are caught up to meet Jesus in the air in the Rapture don’t plan to be around to know for sure who he is.  But we can, as watchmen on the wall, warn those who’ll be left behind what to expect.

I’ll close with this excerpt from an article by Brett Gillette, The Nationality of the Antichrist:

“Daniel chapter 8 provides us with further clues in regard to the life and times of the Antichrist.  In it, the angel Gabriel explains Daniel's vision of a ram and a goat as events relating to the Greek empire of Alexander the Great.  In a claim verified by history, Gabriel states that following the death of Alexander, the empire will be divided into four parts.  From one of those four parts, the Antichrist will arise:

‘The shaggy male goat represents the king of the Greek Empire.  The four prominent horns that replaced the one large horn show that the Greek Empire will break into four sections with four kings, none of them as great as the first.  At the end of their rule, when their sin is at its height, a fierce king, a master of intrigue, will rise to power.  He will become very strong, but not by his own power.  He will cause a shocking amount of destruction and succeed in everything he does. He will destroy powerful leaders and devastate the holy people’ (Daniel 8:21-24, NLT).

Daniel 11 provides an in-depth examination of the history of the breakup Alexander's empire, describing historical events relating to the king of the North and the king of the South.  The latter part of the chapter describes the Antichrist, identifying him with other historical figures who have held the title "king of the North."  This, along with the passage cited above, clearly links the Antichrist to the northern kingdom of the divided Greek Empire.  This kingdom was ruled by one of Alexander's generals, Seleucus, who ruled the areas of Syria, Mesopotamia, and Persia.  Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that the Antichrist will in some way be linked to this geographic area of the Middle East.

It is an absolute certainty that the Antichrist will arrive on the world scene as the ruler of a revived Roman empire.  However, it is less certain whether he will be of actual Italian descent or some other ethnic background.  Several Scriptures offer the possibility that he could be Assyrian, Greek, or Jewish. But none of them offers us the definitive statement contained in Daniel 9:26.

So how do we rectify these seemingly contradictory prophecies concerning the Antichrist's nationality?  Is he Roman?  Italian?  Jewish?  Assyrian?  Greek?  He doesn't necessarily have to be exclusively one or another.  He could be an Assyrian who is Jew born and raised in Italy, or any number of possible combinations.  We don't know for certain, but history indicates that each of these prophecies will be harmonized when the Antichrist finally appears.

But no matter how much we speculate on the ultimate meaning of the Scriptures, we won't know the absolute truth until God's appointed time.  As such, it is wise to study these prophecies and teach them to others, so that Christians of the Antichrist's generation will be able to positively identify him based on sound scriptural evidence.

May the Lord Jesus Christ, upon His return, find us actively engaged in teaching these truths to others.  Until then, live with a patient and enduring faith that His return is soon upon us.” --- Britt Gillette, raptureready.com

Death of Saudi King - The Endtime Event Islamists Have Been Waiting For

Update - Saudi King Abdullah Died, Friday January 23

A Lebanese reporter for the Al-Monitor Middle East news service explains that Iran and Hezbollah view the Syrian civil war not only in a strategic context, but in a prophetic one. In their belief, the radical Sunnis will conquer Syria for a short period of time and then Iranian forces will intervene on their way to destroying Israel.

The unnamed reporter points out that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah is, like Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, “known for being a strong believer” in the Shiite prophecy that Iran will lead an End Times war against Islam’s enemies. At that time, the Mahdi will “reappear” and defeat the infidel.

According to the author, Iran and Hezbollah rely upon a book of prophecies called Al-Jafr to guide them. It was passed down to Jafar al-Sadiq, for whom the Jafari school of Shiite jurisprudence is named after. Teachers of this book say that the Syrian leader will be killed in a civil war during the End Times.

A Sunni leader will take over Syria and persecute Shiites, Allawites and Christians. The persecution will continue until an Iranian army invades Syria via Iraq, killing this Sunni leader on the way to capturing Jerusalem. Once Jerusalem is taken, the Mahdi will appear. Interestingly, in a modern context, this means that Hezbollah is fighting to preserve the regime of a man (Bashar Assad) that they believe will be killed.

Keep in mind, the Jafari school of jurisprudence is mainstream Shiite doctrine. There’s bound to be disagreement over the interpretation of prophecy, but these are not the beliefs of an isolated cult. In July 2010, a senior Iranian cleric said that Khamenei told his inner circle that he had met with the Mahdi, who promised to “reappear” during his lifetime.

A very similar eschatological viewpoint is articulated in a 2011 documentary produced by the office of then-President Ahmadinejad. The film, titled The Coming is Upon Us, does not predict a Syrian civil war but shares many of the same details articulated by the Al-Monitor reporter in Lebanon.

A critical point of convergence between the two sources is about Saudi Arabia’s role in prophecy. Both agree that the death of Saudi King Abdullah will be a major trigger. In fact, this event is so central to the Iranian film that it opens up with the statement, “Whoever guarantees the death of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, I will guarantee the imminent reappearance of Mahdi.”

What’s amazing about this film is the high level of detail of the discussed prophecies. It is easy to see why, if you were a devout Muslim (especially a Shiite), you would believe that the Mahdi’s return is near.

The arrival of Jews in Palestine from the West and the birth of the state of Israel, the conquering of Arabia by the Al-Sauds and the global dominance of the U.S. and the West are all clearly foretold, it claims.

An Allah-blessed revolution will take place in Iran led by a man based out of Qom. The narrators point to the 1979 Islamic Revolution as a clear fulfillment. After this happens, a series of vague and specific “signs” are to follow.

The most specific “signs” are related to Iraq. The Iranian video claims that prophecy requires the invasion of Iraq by infidels from the south with heavy use of aircraft, as happened in 2003. The infidel will cause tribal divisions and the evil dictator of Iraq (Saddam), will be killed.

Other signs include the Westernization of Muslim youth (with the 2009 Green Revolution offered as evidence), the Iran-backed Houthi rebellion in Yemen and the overthrow of Egyptian President Mubarak.

“The preparer,” named Seyed Khorasani, will rule Iran at this decisive point in history. He will come from Khorasan Province, his strong army will have black flags and there will be a “sign” in his right hand. The filmmakers point out that Khamenei fills these requirements and has a disabled right hand.

Yamani will coordinate the offensive against the infidel with Khorasani that trigger the Mahdi’s reappearance. The film argues that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah is his incarnation. Yamani will have a Yemeni background and it says that Nasrallah’s ancestors came to Lebanon from Yemen.

Khorasani/Khamenei’s military leader is given the name of Shoeib-Ebne Saleh. The film allegedly produced by Ahmadinejad’s office predictably says he is the incarnation of this figure. However, any military commander under Khamenei can arguably be him.

Analysis of these prophecies helps us see the future through the eyes of Hezbollah and the Iranian regime.

Iran and Hezbollah are first focused on assembling an anti-Western Arab coalition. The Coming is Upon Us film specifically cites the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood as a step towards this, even if Iran and the Brotherhood are on opposite sides in Syria.

This stage includes fomenting internal strife in Bahrain, a Shiite-majority country governed by a pro-American Sunni monarchy. A representative of Khamenei said in 2011 that Bahrain presents “the best opportunity to begin setting the stage for the emergence of the 12th imam, our Mahdi.”

The development that Iran is eagerly awaiting is the death of the Saudi King Abdullah, which will trigger internal strife throughout Saudi Arabia. It is probable that this is when Iran hopes to begin a rebellion in the Shiite-majority Eastern Province where 90% of the country’s oil is.

After Assad is killed and replaced by a vicious Sunni leader, Iranian forces are to invade Syria from Iraq. The withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq and the Iraqi government’s slide into the Iranian orbit are undoubtedly seen as dramatic “signs.”

Once an Arab coalition is formed and Syria is invaded, Jerusalem is to be captured by the Iranian-led forces. At this point, the Mahdi is to reappear and final victory will come that includes a Nasrallah-led march to Mecca.

The Al-Monitor report appears fanciful until all of these pieces are put together. Once they are, it is easier to understand why the Iran-Hezbollah bloc is confident of victory.

“According to Shiites who believe in this [Al-Jafr] book, mainly Khamenei and Nasrallah, there is one possible explanation. The signs of reappearance of Mahdi are being successfully unveiled, and the Great War with Israel and the disbelievers is just around the corner,” writes the Lebanese reporter.

The Shiite Islamists’ End Times worldview does not necessarily result in recklessness. They do consider military strength and geopolitical realities, but the objectives of those calculations are to fulfill prophecy. Any policy debate that takes place among them is not about whether to pursue the war that summons the Mahdi, but how.

The Shinar Directive: How Nimrod Lays the Template for the Coming Leader of Torah-lessness!

Does the Word of God in Daniel give us a hint that the Antichrist will be able to reproduce the dark magic and scale of Nimrod's empire?

Some have speculated that this refers to the Antichrist being a homosexual. Although it is true that most within the occult are bisexual (for use in ritual magic), I believe this is a prophetic clue linking the coming man of sin with Nimrod. This powerful working of dark magic and esoteric wisdom will be reproduced one more time in human history. The coming transmogrification of a man will invite Lucifer himself to come and coinhabit this enhanced man-god. He will become the reincarnation of Nimrod—the Antichrist!

Babylonian and Egyptian mysticism are still the leading spiritual forces within the winding currents of the mystery religions today. Egyptian Sex Magic, a product of Egyptian mysticism, is prominent in the teachings of Aleister Crowley, as well as the Ordo Templi Orientis and the Golden Dawn. It is also interwoven in the esoteric teachings of Freemasonry. In his internationally acclaimed book, Zenith 2016, Dr. Tom Horn reveals the Lost Symbol of Freemasonry:

Unrecognized by the vast majority of peoples around the world is the greatest conspiracy of all time, sitting right out in the open in Washington DC and at the Vatican. It would seem that the Lost Symbol was designed utilizing ancient Watcher knowledge, handed down through the line of Ham, and was embedded in the occult religious practices of Egypt. Will it one day produce a new man-god: Gibborim/Nephilim (Osiris made flesh)? Yet, through all of the centuries of faithful rehearsals, the equal to Nimrod has yet to be reproduced. Perhaps the realization of the next Nimrod will require intervention by the Watchers through a stargate (or dimensional portal) into our reality. On the other hand, maybe the last piece of the god-maker puzzle is still just waiting to be discovered in one of the world’s pyramids or ziggurats.

The Elite of the world are working behind the scenes with secret government agencies around the globe and the Transhumanist Movement community to unlock the secrets of Nimrod.

Dr. Horn continues detailing the mystic meaning of these ancient symbols of Babylon’s mystery religion:

Undoubtedly the vast majority of people, when looking at Washington, DC, and at the Vatican, never comprehend how these cities constitute one of the greatest open conspiracies of all time. There, reproduced in all their glory and right before the world’s eyes, is an ancient talismanic diagram based on the history and cult of Isis, Osiris, and Horus, including the magical utilities meant to generate the deity’s return. The primeval concept—especially that of sacred Domes facing Obelisks—was designed in antiquity for the express purpose of regeneration, resurrection, and apotheosis, for deity incarnation from the underworld to earth’s surface through union of the respective figures—the Dome (ancient structural representation of the womb of Isis) and the Obelisk (ancient representation of the erect male phallus of Osiris). This layout, as modeled in antiquity, exists today on the grandest scale at the heart of the capital of the most powerful government on earth—the United States—as well as in the heart of the most politically influential church on earth—the Vatican. Given this fact and the pattern provided by the apostle Paul and the Apocalypse of John (the book of Revelation) that the end times would culminate in a marriage between political (Antichrist) and religious (False Prophet) authorities at the return of Osiris/Apollo, it behooves open-minded researchers to carefully consider this prophecy in stone, as it defines the spiritual energy that is knowingly or unknowingly being invoked at both locations with potential ramifications for Petrus Romanus, the year 2012, and beyond. The US Capital has been called the “Mirror Vatican” due to the strikingly similar layout and design of its primary buildings and streets. This is no accident. In fact, America’s forefathers first named the capital city “Rome.” But the parallelism between Washington and the Vatican is most clearly illustrated by the Capitol building and Dome facing the Obelisk known as the Washington Monument, and at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican by a similar Dome facing a familiar Obelisk—both of which were, according to their own official records, fashioned after the Roman Pantheon, the circular Domed Rotunda “dedicated to all pagan gods.” This layout—a Domed temple facing an Obelisk—is an ancient, alchemical blueprint that holds significant esoteric meaning.[ii]

Nimrod also possessed the strength, cunning, and cruelty of the children of the Watchers before the Flood. This change within him supercharged his despotic desires. What were some of those tyrannical desires? Finis Dake provides some of the answers.

Nimrod comes from the Hebrew marad (HSN-), “to rebel.” It points to some violent and open rebellion against God. Nimrod began to be a mighty one in the earth by bold and daring deeds. His rebellion is associated with the beginning of his kingdom and suggests that his hunting and mighty deeds were related primarily to hunting men by tyranny and force. He lorded it over others, hunting and destroying all who opposed him in his despotic rule over people. This is the meaning understood by Josephus and writers of the Targums.Josephus says that Nimrod persuaded people to ascribe their happiness to him rather than God. He became a great leader, taught people to centralize, and defied God to send another flood. It is said that Nimrod hunted down wild beasts also, which were killing many people, and taught people to build walls around cities for protection against them.

The term “mighty hunter” (Gen. 10:9) could refer to a hunter of animals or of men to enslave them. Nimrod was a hunter of both human beings and animals. The Hebrew gibbowr (HSN-), translated “mighty” here, means a powerful warrior, tyrant, champion, giant, or strong one. It is used of giants who were renown for wickedness (Gen. 6:4), and of other wicked men (Ps. 52:1–3; 120:4; Isa. 5:22; Jer. 9:23). It could refer to Nimrod as a tyrant and oppressive despot. He established the first kingdom and the first universal false religion opposing God since the flood of Noah…. This was done “before the Lord,” that is, openly: in the presence of God with all defiance. That is why God, when He came down to see Babel, took action to counteract the rebellion of Nimrod (Gen. 11:1–9).^[iii] (Emphasis added)

Nimrod possessed both a demonic intelligence and a supernatural strength that enabled him to enslave people through tyranny and force. He demanded that everyone ascribe their happiness to him and him alone. He became the first ruler of the known world (the first New World Order) and established the first one-world religion. Nimrod is the perfect type and shadow in the Old Testament of the Antichrist. The Antichrist will be unstoppable as a warrior, his cruelty will know no bounds, he will enslave the world as the new leader of the New World Order, and he will establish a one-world religion to draw all men away from the True God and Creator of mankind. No other figure in history or the Bible, not even the pharaohs of Egypt, comes close to personifying the Antichrist the way that Nimrod did.

A. W. Pink agrees with this analysis of Nimrod and Babylon. In his classic work on the Antichrist, he writes:

In the first place, as Nimrod—the founder of Babel, that is, the Tower of Babylon—a savage tyrant and cruel oppressor of men, was the first person who declared open war against God; so it is meet that there should arise from the selfsame Babylon, the last and most atrocious persecutor of the saints—the Antichrist. Moreover, seeing that Nebuchadnezzar and Antiochus Epiphanes—two monsters who bore down upon the people of God with an overwhelming power of destruction, and who were the antichrists of the old Testament and remarkable types of the Antichrist which is to come; seeing, I say, that these monarchs reigned in Babylon, it is fitting that the true Antichrist of the New Testament should arise from the same Babylon.

Besides, no place can be pointed out more meet for the nativity of Antichrist than Babylon, for it is the City of the Devil—always diametrically opposed to Jerusalem, which is deemed the City of God; the former city, that is, Babylon, being the mother and disseminator of every kind of confusion, idolatry, impiety—a vast sink of every foul pollution, crime, and iniquity—the first city in the world which cut itself off from the worship of the true God—which reared the city of universal vice,—which perpetually (according to the record of Holy Writ) carries on the mystery of iniquity, and bears imprinted on her brow the inscription of blasphemy against the name of God. The consummation, therefore, of impiety, which is to have its recapitulation in Antichrist, could not break forth from a more fitting place than Babylon.[iv]

Needless to say, Nimrod set the standard for ruthlessness. In fact, his exploits were greater than all other despots in history combined. Even the practice of crucifixion did not originate in Rome; it all began in Babylon! 

Understanding the Two Faces of Nimrod

Although his ruthlessness is well documented in most biblical resources, I do think they overlook the other side of Nimrod. He was able to inspire men to come under his leadership. He was genius in military tactics; he was a consummate politician; he developed cities, honed an entire civilization, and birthed a religion that is still spreading like a cancer in the world today. Nimrod’s spiritual influence was so great that families would willingly offer their children on the fiery altars of Molech.

Nimrod would be the perfect world leader for today. He would wear a Giorgio Armani suit, have a disarming smile, possess the personality perfect for TV, have a physique like that of the Greek gods, and have a wisdom drawn from the deepest well of the ascended masters of the New Age throughout time. His words would drop like honey from his perfect, genetically altered lips, and his transhuman-enhanced blue eyes would seem to look straight into your soul. He would be able to mesmerize the masses into following him without question, and he would engineer a society that reflects his true personality: the perfect blending of sophistication and savagery. High culture and blood would run through all the streets of the cities and nations that he would build and rule. Safety, security, health, pleasure, and prosperity would be extended to those who gave unquestioned loyalty. This is also a perfect description of the Antichrist—truly, the reincarnation of Nimrod.

Nimrod’s Aspirations

As I began to research the Babylon that Nimrod labored to build, something began to dawn upon my soul:Nimrod was the first to attempt to rebuild Atlantis. He possessed a portion of the knowledge of the ancient Watchers; he was able to transmogrify himself into a gibborim; and he began to build cities that rivaled many of our own today! Here are some facts I discovered in my research of the Babylon of Nimrod.

The Size of Babel

Of the magnificence of Babel, the capital of the empire of Nimrod, “the mighty hunter,” it is difficult to convey an adequate conception, without entering into details foreign to our purpose. But some idea of it may be formed from its extent, which according to the lowest computation, covered no less than one hundred square miles, or about five times the size of London; while the highest computation would make it cover two hundred square miles, or ten times the extent of London! Such was the world-city, the first “beginning” of which at least Nimrod had founded. No wonder that the worldly pride of that age should have wished to make such a place the world-capital of a world-empire, whose tower “may reach unto heaven! (Emphasis added)

The Walls to Keep Wild Animals and Perhaps Flood Waters Out

Babylonia and Assyria, once the granaries of Asia, the garden spots of that continent, enjoying a great civilization, are now in desolation and mostly unproductive deserts. The predictions of Isaiah and Jeremiah have been fulfilled. The judgments predicted to come upon Babylon were also fulfilled long ago. [“How utterly improbable it must have sounded to the contemporaries of Isaiah and Jeremiah, that the great Babylon, this oldest metropolis Of the world, founded by Nimrod, planned to be a city on the Euphrates much larger than Paris of today, surrounded by walls four hundred feet high, on the top of which four chariots, each drawn by four horses, could be driven side by side; in the center a large, magnificent park an hour’s walk in circumference, watered by machinery; in it the king's twelve palaces, surrounding the great temple of the sun-god with its six hundred-foot tower and its gigantic golden statue—should be converted into a heap of ruins in the midst of a desert! Who today would have any faith in a similar prophecy against Berlin or London or Paris or New York?” (Prof. Bettex.)]

The Size of the Tower

And they built it: forty and three years [1645–1688 A.M.] were they building it; its breath was 203 bricks, and the height (of a brick) was the third of one; its height amounted to 5,433 cubit and 2 palms, and (the extent of one wall was) thirteen stades (and of the other thirty stades). [Note: 5,433 cubits is 8,150 feet.]

It is almost impossible to wrap our minds around what Nimrod was building in Babel—the capital of Babylon. Alfred Edersheim states that the size of the city was one hundred to two hundred square miles. Arno C. Gaebelein describes twelve palaces, watering systems, a six hundred-foot-tall temple of the sun god that was surrounded by a four hundred-foot-tall wall that was so large the Babylonians could have chariot races on it. Was Nimrod attempting to recapture the splendor of the lost Watcher/Nephilim city? I believe he was. He was building the first New Atlantis that would reestablish the secrets of the Watchers embedded within a mystery religious system to turn men away from the Living God. And just in case God loosed judgment by a flood against his endeavors, he surrounded the entire one hundred- to two hundred-square-mile city (either ten miles times ten miles or twenty miles times twenty miles) with a wall large enough to hold back significant flood waters. Just in case the walls did not hold, the people could escape into the Tower of Babel that was 8,150 feet high.

All of these heights regarding Babel are significant. The only structure to survive the Flood of Noah was the Great Pyramid of Giza. Its construction predates the Flood by 235 years. The height of the Great Pyramid is 455 feet. The walls around Babel were just 55 feet short of its height. But the Tower, whether you go by the height of 600 feet as stated by Gaebelein or the 8,150 feet as recorded in the Book of Jubilees, it would have provided an additional refuge if the walls failed to hold back the only judgment of God mankind had ever seen.

This concept of taking refuge in the tower was also confirmed by the Jewish historian, Flavius Josephus:

[Nimrod] also gradually changed the government into tyranny,—seeing no other way of turning men from the fear of God, but to bring them into a constant dependence upon his power. He also said he would be revenged on God, if he should have a mind to drown the world again; for that he would build a tower too high for the waters to be able to reach! and that he would avenge himself on God for destroying their forefathers!^[viii]

Nimrod’s Religion

He was mighty in hunting (or in prey) and in sin before God, for he was a hunter of the children of men in their languages; and he said unto them, Depart from the religion of Shem, and cleave to the institutes of Nimrod.

Not less than two-thirds of the population of the earth at this hour are Pagan idolators, drivilling under the same old intoxication which came forth from Nimrod and Babylon; …Infidel, or adherents of some tainted and anti-christian faith and worship. Nor is there a kingdom or government on the face of the whole earth at this hour which does not embody and exhibit more of the spirit of Nimrod than of the spirit, commandments, and inculcations of God. All the kings of the earth, and all the governments under heaven, have more or less joined in the uncleanness of that same old Babylonian Harlot who had defiled every spot and nook of the whole inhabited world, notwithstanding that God from the beginning set His seal of wrath upon it.

It would take an entire book to cover extensively all of the aspects of the cradle of all pagan religions. As Dake shared regarding Nimrod, his task was to draw men away from God. The concepts within the religion and practices (institutions) Nimrod developed are still bringing darkness into the world today. In the next entry I would like to highlight some of the practices that plague our world that were part of Nimrod’s mystery religion... and will be again.
