“The fact that the State Department refused to send a representative to this hearing underscores the lack of concern and engagement by the Obama Administration in securing the freedom of a U.S. citizen,” Sekulow said.
Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Va., agreed, saying, "The very fact that the United States government is not speaking out sends a very powerful message."

Does this send a warning to Christians in the U.S., that this is how the U.S. government regards those who follow the Jesus, when instad, it spends its time trying to cozy up to the Muslims, who regard America as the great Satan, and will most assuredly carry out an attack on the U.S., as even our Intelligence agencies know?

We've been warned by the Master, that to follow in His steps would result in persecution, even death.
John 15:20-21 20 "Remember the word that I said to you, 'A slave is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also. 21 "But all these things they will do to you for My name's sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.
The apostle Paul warned his younger son in the faith, Timothy;
2 Timothy 3:12 12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

Let us continue to lift up and pray for Pastor Saeed.  It is only God's grace that is not us right now, and it soon may be.  Let us pray the LORD will keep him encouraged, and in good spirits.  Remember Paul's plight:
Philippians 1:12-13 12 Now I want you to know, brethren, that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel, 13 so that my imprisonment in the cause of Christ has become well known throughout the whole praetorian guard and to everyone else,

Certainly our heart goes out to ihs wife and dear children!  We definitely want to lift them up.  And like the apostle Paul, this is our continued prayer for brother Saeed, that the gospel is proclaimed as a result of the circumstances, that what Iran plans for evil, the Yahweh will use for good!
