Why Are Giant Sinkholes Appearing All Over America? Is Something Happening To The Earth’s Crust?

Why Are Giant Sinkholes Appearing All Over America? Is Something Happening To The Earth’s Crust?

I'm sure many have noticed the appearance of these huge holes opening up in various places around the world, and it seems to be happening more and more.  Some of them swallow up city blocks, and one in Ohio was swallowed up four football fields worth of land!!!

More recently, the guy in Florida who was swallowed by a hole opening under his bedroom!  And they had to call off the search, because he was never found!
This wasn't given as a sign of the end-times perse by Jesus in His now famous discourse in Matthew 24/Luke 21/Mark 13.  But there was one example of sinkholes in scripture, which was a judgment of God against rebellious sinful men.

Numbers 26:9-10

These are the Dathan and Abiram who were called by the congregation, who contended against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they contended against the LORD, 10 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up along with Korah, when that company died, when the fire devoured 250 men, so that they became a warning.

New Agers teach that the earth is going through changes, trying to save herself from people who think Jesus is the only way of salvation!  Oh, she's going to be saved alright, just not in the way they think!  And she's not saving herself, she's lying in wait for her redeemer!

Romans 8:20-22 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.

2 Corinthians 5:19-21 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
